It was a little hard to find but her daughter guided me there on the phone while I was lost. Initially it was a little off putting as I thought they might not be as sanitary because the wax was dark colored. I later found out she doesn't use wax but sugar. This process reduces irritation to the skin & is less painful. In my 35 years of life, I have only been waxed once when I was 19 for a pool party. I vowed never to do it again because of all the pain & skin irritation I experienced afterwards. There was minimal pain & absolutely no skin issues after this procedures. I was in & out in less than 20mins. Highly recommend, especially for avid waxers. ENTER FREELY, they've been Approved:)

This had never been an issue before. 2 years later I'm still dealing with the dark scarring from them. When I reflect upon my experience here, I initially dismissed how unsanitary the room was but I feel it's worth mentioning now. I had seen all the good reviews before going, and dismissed it while I was there, and I was in and out so quickly and I was mostly hairless after, so at FIRST I was like ok well she did a good job and it was fast. However the ingrowns nightmare came for me soon after despite me doing what I always do to prevent it, and years later I'm still embarrassed by the scars it left.

Also, she has many years of experience and is very good at what she does. I don't know about you, bur I prefer the tv on in the room as opposed to a silent "relaxing" atmosphere where I can psych myself out with all my "ouch this is gonna hurt" thoughts. I expected a Brazilian to be the most painful thing ever but surprisingly it wasn't. She also gets the most painful areas done first so it gradually gets better...and goes super quickly. My advice? Prepare for the worst, but don't be surprised by the best. Also, don't forget to breathe (seriously! If you tense up you will bruise and trust me it's so not cute.)

I recently booked an appointment with this company however I needed to change my appointment which…read morein turn she stated my appointment cannot be rescheduled due to being a different month and I will need to forfeiture my deposit. Super saddened to have to leave this review because my first visit was really nice…read more she is not accommodating at all with time. I had a 2pm appointment and attempted to enter between 2:06 and 2:10. I was a new customer so after trying a few minutes I decided to text her at 2:11 and she called me a few min later and said she was at lunch. I told her no problem , I would wait for her or come back - she stated IF* she was able to see me I would have to repay. PASS. I don't do greedy. Takes 3 minutes to sugar underarms and such a minimal amount of $ - so yes, that's greedy. I suppose I assumed it was okay to be a few minutes late because she gave me that message at my first appointment when she was late for me - and took a phone call during my service. In which I do not mind at all - I'm very easy and understanding. I am big on referrals and ironically the morning this happened I had just referred a few gfs to her. I am very friendly. I tip well and extra on holidays. I'm understanding with timing. Etc. for her not to accommodate me with a slap on the wrist as a new customer, was my sign to move on from this place! I even had had an upcoming appointment a couple weeks out and canceled that (lost my deposit on that) - but that's okay, I believe everything in life comes back tenfold when you are kind, compassionate and generous. Greed never wins! I also text her letting her know I was late due to the passing of my grandmother as I was in the middle of arranging her funeral and I left my house frantic - missed the exit. Because I'm human and stress does that. :) I hated that I had to use that card but it was honestly the truth - still no compassion! Sad. As for her work - she does do great work. Absolutely. Very clean and flawless job. That's my honesty!! But I'm a full package kind of customer - without kindness, I see right past your work.

I hadn't gotten a Brazilian since moving to Houston from Boston, so it had definitely been a while, but Hillary immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly light-handed, communicative throughout the entire process, and genuinely so good at what she does. I also really appreciated how educational and informative she was. She walked me through proper aftercare and made sure I understood how to care for my skin after sugaring, which made the entire experience even better. But honestly, what stood out most was how comfortable I felt around her. It genuinely felt like I was hanging out with a friend I'd known forever just girl talking and laughing while she did her thing. There was never an awkward or uncomfortable moment. The facility is also very clean and everyone was very nice and friendly. If I could give Hillary 10 stars, I absolutely would! She's professional, knowledgeable, gentle, and just has such a welcoming energy. Hands down recommend her, especially if you're nervous, haven't had a Brazilian in a while, or simply want someone who makes the experience feel easy and comfortable. My 9:00 a.m. appointment was confirmed, but when I arrived, the salon was closed. I called and waited in my car, but no one ever showed up or reached out. While I understand scheduling issues can occur, a simple call, text, or email would have been greatly appreciated--especially since I drove from the Galleria area. It's unprofessional for a business to not be open during their advertised hours, regardless of whether clients have appointments. At 9:17 a.m., I was finally able to reach someone who informed me that the manager had been trying to contact me for two days because there were no trainees available for the time slots they themselves posted on the booking site. I checked my account just last night, and the appointment was still confirmed. No one ever attempted to contact me or cancel the booking. This experience was extremely unprofessional and disappointing coming from Sugaring NYC.
