NOT 300.00 worth of groceries. 75.00 in items missing.
    McConnell E.

Do not get food delivered from this place for the below reasons. We had previously stopped having food delivered because the expiration date on the meat was close or expired, the worst selections that could be made. The fruit was nearly all bad half the time and once my daughter's eating strawberries had insects covering it. They damage numerous items as well and crush the bread. We got super busy and decided we had no other choice but to have it delivered at 7:30 PM yesterday and this time 75.00 in food was missing on a 300.00 grocery order. My wife and I opened the list to see what was missing and checked it with what was in the bags just to be sure. Attached are the groceries that cost 300.00. We disputed it and requested the money back on the items that were not delivered and THEY DENIED IT!!!! Scammers

H-E-B I beg you, please come to California!!!!! Every time I come visit the grandkids we make a bee line to this store. Texans, I hope you know what a gem of a store you have. I spent an hours admiring the selection of everything from salsas/hot sauces, shredded cheeses, baked beans, tuna fish (see pics) soups, desserts (the best banana pudding) and freshly made tortillas. They have an excellent beer and wine section. Plus a huge produce section as well as cooked meals. This store has the advantage of a delicious True Texas BBQ place out front. The brisket is out-if-this-world.

The new H‑E‑B on Walnut has hit it out of the ballpark! Wide and well lit aisles. Produce sections bursting with fresh veggies and fruit. Grab and go right up front with sushi counter and bakery. Oh and don't forget the BBQ that makes you drool as soon as you walk in. Complete with a 2 level eating area which includes tvs and a happy hour. Friendly staff well stocked shelves and a very well thought out flow to the store. Although parking is tight the store has shuttles to take if you to the store wish to park across the street till the old building comes down. Well done H‑E‑B! I've always been a fan and loyal customer. Now, I truly feel H‑E‑B is the supermarket king of the world! Long may they reign.

Great HEB. The trivia at True BBQ with Challenge Entertainment is so much fun. Tim does a great job hosting trivia night.

I was looking for a small grocery store since I didn't have to go to HEB or WalMart. I live in Blanco, so I was hoping for a small place just to get some housesitting provisions diet soda, frozen pizza, and some chips. I pleasantly found Arlan's Market. I loved the art deco style store, and when I walked in it transported me to the old stores i would go to with my Abuela. I was pleasantly surprised with all the offers and choices. I loved the meat market and the choices of all the different snacks, but we found the deli and were amazed. The store felt like I had been going there for years. The employees were nice and attentive. I couldn't stop raving about it. My father in law started going there since and he loves the meat packs and all the choices there. It reminds him of the small grocery stores in New England. If you are in the area I definitely stopping by for a quick bite and an outstanding shopping experience. We definitely got some mexican pastries on our way out.

Granted produce is not always top notch, but Monday forces you to buy it. They have a very wide variety of Mexican spices which I really like, and carry local produced items. The deli is fantastic with great breakfast tacos, fantastic lunches, and the best fried chicken around. If I can get it at Arlan's I would rather support them and places like Granzins then go to a big chain store, where customer service with a smile seems to hard to come by!

I am simply writing this review AGAIN in hopes the manager Michael or owners will view it, as well as to express my dissatisfaction with a shopping experience I had at your store two weeks ago now. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by an encounter with a cashier who was exceedingly rude and unprofessional. During my checkout, the cashier whom is named Jacky, displayed a dismissive attitude and was unhelpful when I had questions about my purchase. Instead of providing assistance, her responses was curt and lacked any semblance of courtesy. This behavior left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable during what should have been a straightforward transaction. Unfortunately this was not the first time I have had this type of experience with this her, it has happened on multiple occasions so I cannot shrug this off as a thought of "she must be having a bad day." Her mood and behavior becomes worse when I want to make a larger purchase to receive my credited points for the transaction. As a regular customer, I have always appreciated the quality of service at your store, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. I believe that customer service is a reflection of the values of your establishment, and I hope that you will address this issue to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. God bless.

They also carry a number of jarred items (honey, molasses, pickles, jams, sauces) as well as locally raised meats and I enjoyed going aisle by aisle looking my through their inventory I was also happy to see that they carry a number of gluten free items, including flour and pastas that I'm able to find at my local grocery store. I also loved that they have fresh baked breads and desserts, as well as sandwiches to order to go (didn't try any on this visit, but they looked excellent online!). I did pick up a bit of their jalapeño beef jerky which wasn't super tough like jerky sometimes is and also was super salty, which was appreciated. The staff seemed friendly and ready to help. Across from the store is a bbq spot with seating and I'll be sure to visit there on my next visit. The ONLY reason why I couldn't give a 5-star review this time is I had a very hard time finding the prices on a number of items (especially in their freezer/refrigerated sections). It made it a bit inconvenient and I didn't want to keep going up to the counter to check the costs each time. Other than that, I'd highly recommend a visit!

When she got home and checked the ingredients, she noticed the expiration date was 12/25/25 -- already expired. She took it back to customer service and was given a hard time about getting a refund or even an exchange. After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to let her exchange it. When she went back to the meat section, she noticed the entire brand was expired -- every single package dated 12/25/25. She grabbed ten of them and brought them to the manager, asking why expired meat was still being sold. No explanation. So, moral of the story: don't buy food at Walmart without checking the expiration date first.

Sure most of cashiers are high school kids but the level of respect they treat everyone is absolutely admirable and I thank them all for consistent assistance every visit. On a few occasions they weren't sure of a fruit or veggie sku number and sent for help instantly following with multiple apologies.
