The set up at this HEB is different than most I've shopped at, but not in a bad way. This HEB also carries everything. They even have household appliances, and I don't mean just some cheap blender. Definitely have not seen that at HEB before. The store is clean and well-stocked. They've always had what I'm looking for. Tons of registers for check out and want to know what the best part is? A large quantity of them are actually open and being operated so lines don't back up. Walmart, please take note: the number of registers you have is pointless if only a handful (or less) of employees are actually working them. read more

We were pretty disappointed with the floral department after spending an hour talking with them about supplying a wedding order. We couldn't get the floral department to supply a written quote. They would only give a quote verbally over the phone three days after our meeting and wanted to charge $400 to transport the flowers like 20 miles to the wedding venue. By comparison, it is costing $50 to transport our cake across a farther distance from a well known wedding cake vendor. Also, the total quote not including the delivery was double what the higher end packages cost in the booklet they provided us with. HEB flowers seemed to actually be pricier than specialty floral shops and the whole experience was a huge time waster. read more

I have to pass up 3 other grocery stores to get to this one, but it's worth it! The store is clean, well-stocked with a great variety of specialty foods. The produce section is always clean and the produce is fresh. The staff members I've interacted with are friendly and helpful too! I've had good experience with the meat department too. A few times, they've run out of a particular cut of meat and when I mentioned to the butcher that there were no more out, he cut the meat fresh for me without hesitation. Great customer service. LOVE this store! The ONLY bad point I've noticed is their aisles are too narrow. It makes getting down the aisles on crowded weekend afternoons a bit difficult at times. read more

Wandering out in suburbia we passed this place not even knowing it existed. & this isn't a regular HEB, it's premiere with the size, sections and samples to please its shoppers. Sat's & Sun's are sure to be congested affairs with no guarantee of getting thru an aisle without playing bumper carts. Sales promo's are well worth any visit should it be a six-pack of Blue Moon Valencia Ale or dog treats you can appreciate that they appreciate the shopper. read more

I truly do love this HEB. The one huge negative about it is that everyone else seems to love it too. It can be a little hard to maneuver around other people (i suggest using a little cart over the "normal" size ones). I think the popularity is from the quality and variety of products at fairly low prices. It has many qualities of the other HEB brand Central Market stores like a Cafe On The Run with pre-prepared food, a very good bakery, sushi produced in-house, a wide range of seafood, produce, meat, and cheese, as well as an expanded coffee and wine selection. I've never been to an HEB quite like it and I'm glad it's close to my parent's house. I can easily get the unusual ingrediants I need for baking. read more

I loved H-E-B until I came to this location. It's extremely crowded then when I get to the register to pay the cashier kept looking at my money like it was fake. I feel extremely insulted! He kept asking questions about them and kept putting them up to the light! I'm pretty sure he saw the watermark and the security thread the first 5 times he kept looking. When I first moved to Texas I posed the question to fellow Houstonians, Kroger or HEB. Everyone said HEB and after 5 years of shopping at the same location, I too would only recommend HEB. These stores are very price competitive and always have fresh meat and salads and naked goods and for the most part, friendly employees. I was already a fan of HEB, but then hurricane harvey hit Houston and HEB was phenomenal in their efforts to assist the community. They were the first to open during the dark days of the storm and last to close. People/customers were lined up for hours and HEB employees went above and beyond helping with the customers in the store, feeding the communities affected with their disaster relief response team and overall positive outlook every employee had despite how devastating things seemed at the time. There was no price gouging here and nno complaints about how grueling it was to work crazy long shifts to help out the community. If you weren't an HEB shopper before, I ask you to consider what this company did for the community and check them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

This place is terrible. 10,000 cars in the parking lot. 100,000 people inside. I'm always waiting for someone to move out of the way. It's a nightmare. I hate it. I also can't find my favorite wines in their ENORMOUS wine section! What's up with that?! read more

I Normally love to shop at this H-E-B but today was my last day. I went to the store to pick up a few items. Upon entering the store I heard some load talking but did really pay it any attention because the store is busy(as per usual). I got what I need and proceeded to the check out. I again notice the loud taking that turn into yelling. I noticed there was a Caucasian customer in line yelling at an older African American woman. The Caucasian lady told her to go back to where she came from and this was her country. The African American customer did not respond, she turned her back and tried to complete her check out, all while the Caucasian customer got louder and more vulgar. As the black lady walked away the white customer followed her a few steps to continue to verbally assault this woman. There were several managers in the check out area and no one tried to address the situation. The cashier was a young black girl who was clearly upset at what was going on and in tears(and she continued working as best as she could). Once the white customer finished checking out she walked in the direction of the black customer( who was giving a complaint to customer service in tears) to continue her rant and began to take her shirt off as if to physically assault the black customer and told her she would get her outside. Again no managers stepped in. Then another black female customer step and told the white female customer to leave the lady alone, which made the white cutstome even more angry and louder. Then a manager step in to try to calm down the situation. After I checked out, My husband tried talking to a manager and he seemed unconcerned about this situation and very nonchalant. I feel this situation could have been handled better and quicker. It didn't have to get this far. I feel the managers should Botha e allow the Caucasian customer to be so rude. She should have been escorted out of the store long before she did. She was allowed to disrespect customers and other H-E-B staff. Because of the way it was handled and how unconcerned management was about this, I won't be shopping here anymore and I'm going to make sure everyone I know heard of this incident and how it was handled. read more

LOVE this HEB!! Such a cool layout, great selection...I just wish this was the closest store to my house! It's not that far, but I'll be going here today for the Texas Two-Step Tomatillo & Green Chili Stew Mix (something they only have at the Cooking Connection). It is a busier store, given the location right off 290, and because it's so awesome. Also, I can just stand in the cheese section and be in heaven. :) read more

This store is a crazy packed mad-house on the weekends. Don't go then. Try to hit it on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, after the rush hour, "on our way home from work" crowd is through. I've heard that they restock on Tuesday mornings, and I believe it to be true because by Tuesday evening, when the crowd has died down, the aisles are smooth sailing and the shelves are loaded. This store is a great place for all of your regular grocery needs, as well as the gourmet and specialty items that you are looking for. As close to the actual "Central Market" as you will get in our area.....without the drive and higher prices to boot. read more

This place is our new go to for when we dont want to drive down to Central Market. No its not AS awesome, but it is pretty freakin great. Produce is priced well and really nice and fresh. We bought some figs while there this weekend. We couldnt decide which type to buy (they had them in packages of about 16 I think) The girl working heard us talking, asked if we needed help and then offered to open the packages and let us taste Both Kinds! She said they do it all the time. It was awesome! They have a great bread selection also like CM and deli counter (not as much of a selection, but better than your normal grocery deli) they have the house smoked meats like CM does, only they are $2.00 cheaper a pound. The meat and seafood counters are really great. We now regularly buy Kobe steak there, which is melt in your mouth delicious! They actually have a very nice Kitchen section with gadgets and even appliances. Huge wine selection, spices in bulk, dried fruits and oats ect. We love this store being foodies who love to cook. I find it not as organized as the HEB off of fry and tuckerton and usually no samples. I do like samples to be able to try new products and my kids like them but of course it's not what effected my rating. I rated this HEB 3 stars because it's not as organized and the staff don't know where things are or if HEB carries the items. read more

Man, I am such a tool.........I avoided this HEB for so long because I was holding a grudge against them for closing the perfectly good store at Cypress N. Houston and Huffmeister, leaving with me crappy old Foodtown. Yes, you read that right, I was holding a grudge. Against a grocery store. See why I pronounce myself a tool? Anyhow, the rising cost of groceries led me to investigating this HEB, and all I can say is WOW. We started on the left side of the store, which is Health&Beauty. Huge selection, and first thing I found was Veet for $4.50. $4.50! That stuff is $6 elsewhere. That went into the basket. Then I found my favorite soaps, also cheaper than anywhere else. Adjacent to Health&Beauty is Baby Stuff (I know, that's not really what the section is called, but you get the idea). Not only did HEB have the entire line of my favorite organic baby food, they carry my favorite earth-friendly diapers. Major score! Before now, we either had to order the diapers online (5 days for delivery), or drive to other stores that don't see fit to open locations in the NW sector (over a 15 mile jaunt). As a matter of fact, this HEB had a few different lines of organic product, rather than the usual few products from one line. Next stop, frozen food. I've died and gone to heaven.......there were sweet potato fries for just a couple of bucks, rather than the expensive name brand for $5. Four or five different kinds of broccoli.........all the veggies I could ever want, plus all the junk (mmmmmmmBagel Bites)...........and Ben&Jerry's ice cream for $2.99! We were probably in the frozen section for half an hour before heading to dairy. So many different brands of yogurt my head spun. And private label organic milk for $4.50! We meandered through the store for another hour. They had everything I could possibly want, except for Ichiban noodles. Elvis playing cards, sourdough bread, 50 cent cans of crushed tomatoes-almost anything you can imgaine, they had. We were so tired by the time we made it to Meat and Produce, we didn't look around too much. We did find some homemade tortillas (every bit as good as what your Abuelita makes, seriously) and some salmon tempura rolls (pretty damn tasty, better than the other guys and only $6-7). We snapped up the last 4 kiwis, which were 2 for $1, and went to check out. We saved about $45 from what we would've spent elsewhere. That's almost a tank of gas or a dinner out! I was so pleased with this HEB I kept repeating "I love this store" to my husband the whole time we were shopping. Good prices, HUUUUUUGE selection, lots of organic goodies. My only complaint is that they close at midnight, which means we have to shop when everybody else does, and I am not fond of crowds. But that's a small price to pay for saving that much money and having that large of a selection. Oh yeah-there are parking spaces for families with small children! How awesome is that? read more

DO NOT RENT A CARPET CLEANER HERE. This review is for the service center only. I rented a carpet cleaning machine. It was dirty. I returned it to the store--they informed me I need to pay extra because the machine was dirty. The clerk (Jay B) said he checked the machine before renting it. He obviously did not and the store manager (Yolanda) took the clerk's word over the customer's. And charged me extra. read more

I really like this place, but only after 8 pm when the crowds have dispersed. Do NOT ever go here on a Sunday afternoon unless your are into seeing everyone who attended church that day at the grocery store (I'm talking like everyone regardless of denomination). It gets crazy-insane busy in there. I give this HEB 4 stars because they have REALLY good sales on meat products on occasion (check the ads before heading out) and it is always really clean and organized. Oh, and it's like going to Sam's for the samples, but better because everything is fresh and you can find food from all over the world ... so in essence, it's a one-stop shop especially if you're trying out a new recipe with ingredients that might be hard to find. When you're sitting around at home and can't think of anything better to do, I encourage you to get up and go peruse this place. You'll end up leaving with a satisfied tummy after all the samplings. read more

Be careful who you keep company with. Even though my negative experience didn't happen directly with HEB, Gold Touch Jewelry is inside their store. I think they should use some sort of vetting process for neighbors they share their store with. Don't go here! Owner sold me a watch about 3 weeks ago. The watch hasn't worked properly since day one. I visit the store hoping to get a little information about why its not working. He screams and curses at me and explains to me that he isn't Macy's. WOW! I told him that I didn't want a refund, I just simply wanted him to look at it. He then proceeded to tell me that I broke the watch and to leave my store and never come back. I'm from Austin, home of the whole foods headquarters- so I've been spoiled by amazing grocery stores. This HEB is the equivalence of a Central Market- they have amazing and fresh produce, meats, cheeses- a great section for me to spend money on cute and useless kitchen wares, excellent drug department. Well laid out Heb. Lots of different things to try in this store. You could almost eat a meal here while your shopping. Everyone seems nice in this store. Plenty of selection, good meat department, excellent seafood department. The store is keep clean and fresh. I didn't see any un fresh food. Lol!! For those times you don't want to go to the store they do have insta-cart, which is very helpful. The gas station connected to this store usually has competitive gas prices. The only real complaint I have about Heb is they do not have a cart truck at any of the locations I have been too. A lot of times they only have one guy outside doing carts by himself on a 100 degree day without a cart truck. On the day I was there, they had one kid having to push rows of carts himself. That's to much work in 100 degree heat for one kid. So I decided to go talk to the store manager about this. I told him it's 100 degrees out and you only have one guy on carts with all the cart stations full. I asked if they had a cart truck he said no, then he told me he would send someone out to help him. I just don't understand how such a huge company won't get something that the employees need. Not to mention doing something to keep you lot clear of carts. I could see my car getting hit very easily by a cart at this location. I love Heb but you have to treat you employees better than that. read more

On annual Sunday night grocery shopping night my fiancé and myself got stuck in this horrible thunderstorm. The streets were flooding and it was impossible to get to your car with your groceries without getting wet. HEB customer service was top notch!!! They had staff members with large umbrellas helping everyone to their cars with their groceries so the customers wouldn't get extremely wet. Awesome Job!!! read more

We shopped at this store for years and witnessed the customer service declined to almost don't exist. Went today for a quick shopping and was ready for check out. Well, Robert was waiting as they all do when they don't have a customer so I walked by him, made an eye contact and pursed to the counter. He never followed me so I waited couple minutes and he still didn't move. So I asked him if his station was open and he replied yes and still didn't move . I finally asked if he can checked me out. I guess I could, he said. At that point I just went to another cashier and later asked go a manager. Here comes the floor manager. He looked like a high school kid or maybe couple years older. This store makes millions of Dollars and can have a responsible manager and get rid of employees like "Robert" that obviously does want to work there. If an HEB personnel reads this, check your cameras at around 8:45 am and you will see how not hard your employees are working. read more

This store is the only reason I still live in Cypress. It's more than a grocery store. The prepared foods are terrific, the seafood counter is amazing, the wine selection is great and the people are always friendly and helpful. I would give this store 10 stars if I could. I hate this HEB because I love it so much. Today I had only planned to go get some fresh herbs for my newly acquired herb keeper and my eye caught that woman with the microphone who was cooking up some fig glazed pork chops. I hate her! Because now I had 10 items in my cart that came up to $60 and made me happy and sad at the same time. Gourmet Brie and Caramel Agave nectar and some really cool wine that tasted so yummy next to her pork chops. I don't even know what I am gonna do with this stuff, but it was like food treasure to me. Then on my way out, I saw some $30 Foie Gras - why oh why?! I swear this place has some food demons that possess me to buy these things because I get so excited, AND that adorable old cheese man who knows my face by now because he always smiles at me and says, "Would you like to try our new Brie?" And I say, yes oh yes. For the New Year, I was really trying to cut down on my crazy food fetishes and keep to the necessities - try to loose some weight and start using the stuff that I have in my pantry at home. Anyway, I think I need to try a new route to get onto 290 without having to pass near this HEB. read more

Absolutely the best grocery store I've ever seen in TX! They have an incredible inventory with everything from A to Z. Their produce is amazing, and their "Cafe-to-go-Bar" features a variety of salads, side dishes, and entrees of which all looked tempting! I've shopped here probably at least six times now though and still feel overwhelmed by the size of the store-and that's why I gave it 4 stars. My advice to you-definitely shop here, but just avoid the weekends. There will be so many shoppers, you will find it frustrating to get around and to locate items! read more

I love our HEB except traffic right now due to the construction is horrible!! This HEB pretty much has everything you are looking for and even when they are super busy, they have so many checkers; that it goes pretty quickly! The sushi that they make in house is pretty good as well, always quick and easy if you don't want to cook dinner. Just a great local store! read more

Love, Love, Love HEB! I am such a grocery store snob. I pass up Kroger's which is 3 min from my house to go to HEB which is 10 min from my house. I refuse to buy my meat from anywhere else! Both Kroger's and Foodtown's meat looks like they killed it out back and wrapped it in saran wrap! *Barf* HEB's meat is always fresh looking and never bloody or disgusting looking. One time, only once, I bought some chicken and when I got it home, it smelled a little funny. I took it back the next day and they allowed me to exchange it, no questions asked. The store is ALWAYS clean and well-maintained. They have some of the best sushi ever. They staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Seafood market is awesome as well. I shop here probably 3x weekly. Also, little known fact-If there is a item that you are looking for, that you cannot find, you can ask them to special order it for you! read more

Best HEB I've ever been to. They really have a great variety on almost any type of food you can imagine. I don't do much grocery shopping, but they do have plenty of the rare things I buy when I do go. I can always find my nutritional supplements, and the coconut water is always stocked. Usually I love this store but today was so very frustrating I could not find one person to help me at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. When I finally did find somebody after 45 minutes that was not a cashier, they had no knowledge of any of their products. I will be going back because I love their food demonstrations. read more

I have noticed this store changing lately and not for the better. The employees there used to be so nice and helpful. Now when you ask for help finding an item they answer you like your bothering them, then today I couldn't go down an aisle because the young lady was putting back items on the shelf, I didn't say anything, just smiled and was waiting for her to shelve the item she had in her hand, she looked at me and went back to work, she then looked at me again and gave me the dirtiest look and then barley moved her shelf with wheels, just enough that I barely squeezed by! I think it's time to start shopping Kroger's again, which I hate to do because H-E-B is so convenient for me, but I'm a firm believer in good customer service when i am spending my hard earned money every week there. read more
