At my first visit I found shell peas and the latest visit wax beans and kale. I find the prices in line with the grocery store, with the big differentiator being the fact that a lot of the produce in this store was in dirt the day before!

We appreciate the smaller, local style atmosphere which was very friendly as the management seemed happy to answer any questions we had regarding their popular "alitas de pollo" :-) Local, range fed and about as organic as you can get at a reasonable price. We purchased brown eggs, fresh ripe tomatoes, and of course their chicken wings which we are eager to try out. You gotta check this place out. Raol

First time I've been to a Farmers Market indoors. This place majorly reminds me of Granville Island…read morePublic Market in Vancouver. It really has that same kind of feel. Indoor place with lots of food vendors and different knick knacks selling here and there. I ended up at Analog Coffee. It's a favorite of my friend whom I was visiting. I had a Hojicha Latte and we shared an Almond Croissant. Amazing how full a person can get on one drink and half a croissant. There are so many different options in this place. Wish I'd had more time, room in my stomach and room in my wallet to try more but this was the morning of my last day in Calgary. The one stall that really peaked my interest was a Vegan stall that had all sorts of Vegan options including frozen ones that you could bring home and put in your freezer. Frozen vegan Congee really caught my attention. I don't know anywhere in Vancouver that sells that! The stall was called Hearts Choices. They were offering samples of their product. They all seemed to be Thai flavors of soup and sauces. Everything I sampled was sooooo good. Wish they would open up in Vancouver. I was really curious about their frozen congee. If I lived in Calgary I would have definitely bought one and brought it home with me. Oh, I really wanted to try their Vegan Mac n Cheese but it comes with a slice of toast and there was no room in my tummy for all that as I'd already filled up on Hojicha Latte and Almond Croissant. I also saw a crepe place in the market that I'd have also loved to try and well...lots of other stalls as well. So many interesting food options here. Gonna have to spend a bit longer here next time!

Review: dessert…read more it's always a good time shopping at the Calgary farmers market with all the different trinkets and such the locals are offering. Took a break for lunch and decided to try the dessert waffles here. Food: I ordered the strawberry waffle and it is simply delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the waffle was fluffy. Everything was correctly portioned and balanced well. Although it was a simple dish, they sure executed it well here. I will return to try their savory dishes. Value: fairly good price for the portions you are getting. Best to share the dessert with a group, unless you are me.

It seems to be a common conclusion that any place without a lineup must have something wrong with it. Stop thinking that way. You end up waiting in long line ups and often miss food that will hit the spot otherwise. Simply Good Eats is simply... well, good! Burgers, sandwiches, waffles... it's a varied menu with a little something for everyone. I ordered a mushroom burger and a vitamin water. The burger was one of the daily lunch specials and came with fries. With the vitamin water, it was all less than $10 and made fresh to order. The table numbers are rather ingenious too. To avoid a slough of people waiting around the counter, Simply Good Eats has helium balloons attached to a little post, each with a number on it. You take your seat and put the balloon on the counter. When it's ready, it's brought out to you... the floating balloon makes you easy to spot!
