If you're going to the football, this is the closest stop for Hamilton Academicals FC; the track runs right alongside the ground, and you can see the game if it's on as the train goes by. There's also a little retail park here, well serviced with Sainsburys being the biggest shop. There's also a useful Sports Direct, a Watt Brothers (YAY!) and a McDonalds. Yes, you can get your Maccie D's fix here! There's also a cracking wee football pub across the road, and a taxi rank. A handy wee station to remember.

There is a shelter with an information button though, and it usually allows you access to someone through at the Scotrail offices if you need to know about train delays or something. The service is pretty regular, about one each hour at half past going to Glasgow Central, although for some reason it skips an hour at half past 7, which is pretty strange. You can get a 13 minutes past 8 service at nearby Holytown Train Station if that's a problem though.

I've never been overly fond of this train station, because it's outside therefore it's always freezing and wet, and on days when the weather is terrible, the 2 small indoor areas are always absolutely mobbed. It's relatively big, with the brand new bus station right next door, and is usually quite clean, so isn't an eyesore, it's just not the friendliest feeling place in the world!

The booking staff on the other end of the telephone, are very rude each time I call and will often put the phone down and end the call abruptly when you are requesting a service. Even when I am at Asda with a trolley full of shopping. Taxis are always late. They are very unreasonable with regards to being on time and when it comes to collecting my daughter to take her to school to, and from school, they have caused a lot of nonsense. I requested to pay via card prior to the journey, and for some reason some of the taxi drivers are too lazy to get out of the car to come and collect payment. Also, one of the taxi drivers were 30 minutes late collecting my daughter from school last Friday. I waited by my front door for the driver to come and collect a payment, and he just drove off and when I went to complain about this, I was told by the guy on the other end of the phone that it's not their problem and they don't really care about the school pickups in the area because that's not a priority. I offered to send over a payment via transfer but the driver very kindly said there was no need. As for the 'customer service' booking staff... I will never ever use this taxi service again, because the manager abruptly contacted me this afternoon and accused me of being rude to her colleague whom was indeed very rude and insulting to me and told me that they were no longer going to collect my daughter to and from school and told me it was my problem. You are an awful company, and you have absolutely the worst Customer Service service skills if any at all. You have no empathy for people with mental health issues, and you don't care about the children in the area. You only care about how much money you make from each fare. You are a disgrace of a company, and I will make this well-known to as many locals as possible. I am absolutely disgusted and really upset by your service. I am a single parent I don't have any family to support me and I Can't drive, so I use public transport on a daily basis to go anywhere. The people that work for you are completely vile and evil and should have the sack for the way that they have spoken to me. I have a sharp tongue, and they deserved every bit of it in response to how they spoke to me. It's no wonder Motherwell has so many issues with a taxi firm like yours.

Two heading into Glasgow, terminating at Milngavie and Dalmuir and two heading to Hamilton and Motherwell, terminating at Motherwell, Larkhall and Lanark. The staff here are always pleasant, I had a lovely wee chat today. The main building is small and where the ticket office is, which also contains some seating. It's located on platform 1, heading into Glasgow. If you alight, as they say in the train jargon, on platform 2 look out for the two metal African men carrying a boat, I think. Not real metal men then that would be Cybermen. Eep! Anyway, follow the path beside them and head down Station Road and this takes you to the David Livingstone Centre. There's plenty of activity happening down there as they are celebrating his 200th birthday this year. Oooft he's got old. Hehe!

No arguments with the bus service as such, or even the ugly red colour of the buses themselves, but some individual bad experiences. Chiefly, one of the drivers nudged my Dads car some years ago and denied responsibility. It was resolved though, I should add. I also didn't like their initial tactic of pulling in on front of other buses to steal their customers which they did efficiently with the use of walkie talkies. I also made a passing comment at a bus stop to a woman about how I didn't like Coakley buses because of these things who informed me that 'it's just good business', revealing herself to be Mr. Coakley's sister in law or something. Her initial comment to my remark on not liking Coakley buses was 'Is it because he is Catholic?' as if my decision on what bus to get on for a 5 minute journey is in some way influenced by a search on the religion of a companies staff, going on to tell me about all the money the main dude gives to charity every year. It was obscure. Suffice to say, I waited on the next bus, which wasn't a Coakley one.

I made my thought very clear on Face Book and was amazed at the response from disabled people that this shocking behaviour is common amongst your drivers. You company receives a substantial government grant to run this service, and quite frankly you are not providing this. We the passengers deserve better. I await your response as quite frankly I am disgusted at this behaviour.

In my experience the taxi will appear before the stated time. All drivers are pleasant and hospitable and cars are kept clean and tidy. Identification badges are always clearly on display for the drivers. Driving standard is also high and I have been well able to relax on any trip. I usually find prices to be cheaper than many other companies and great value for money.

We had just left a park and my son left a couple of muddy footprints on his seat due to the climbing. It will come off with a wet cloth!His car was already filthy before this.This taxi driver spent the whole journey making us feel uncomfortable. Snide remarks and shouted a couple of times as well because of this couple of footprints on his seat. I kept my mouth shut thinking if I said anything right now he would turf us out and leave us abandoned. After getting told that all their taxi drivers have card machines he told me I couldn't use card and forced me to go to a bank machine. I nip out to grab money from the machine and he's in the back of the car doing something. He was holding my son down and grabbing him forcefully. He dropped us off and shouted at me as well then has complained that I stood up for myself eventually after having to deal with any of this. Wellman trying to cover up instead of deal with it. Haven't even heard back from them or had as little as an apology.
