My husband and I scheduled our yearly tax appointment at 1pm and arrived before our scheduled time at 12:45pm. We had confirmed our appointment a week in advance. We were in the waiting room trying to check in and the people in front of us were a new walk in. They were scheduled with our tax pro at the time of our appointment and we were informed that we were late and they had already attempted to call us back. We were 15 minutes early and no one had tried to call us back or contact us during this time. when our tax pro came out to collect the walk-in she was told we had arrived late even though we were 15 minutes early. this is very poor service. read more

I gave the Dover office , on Route 13 my Tax information on 2/25 and I am still waiting to get my tax returns finished. Their communications are very bad, I 've tried several times to get them to retun my calls. I even went in 5/3 , but I could not talk with person doing my taxes. I've been a regular customer for atleast 10 years, I thought I would a little respect and customer service than I've received so far. I've asked for the owner name and phone # but they are stonewalling me. I will refuse to pay the IRS for extension, it's H and R's responsibility. Went today to get our 2017 taxes done. First time we used a tax preparer as we did our own until this year. Made an appointment with Donna Shaw for 11am. Taken in promptly with all of our paperwork. Donna took her time and explained everything along the way. Not very happy with overall results as we owed money but Donna was great and will use her again next year. Very courteous service. When filing for the 2014 tax year it was discovered the tax preparer had incorrectly done husband's taxes for the 2013 year and an amendment was filed. Was told it would be covered under Peace of Mind, just bring in the letter from the IRS when it was received. Letter was received and left at office in June of 2015. We were told everything would be handled. Then when we filed taxes this year we found out that was a lie. No claim was ever placed and our refund for 2015 was adjusted for the amount plus fines and interest owed to IRS. On February 27,2016 the office magically found our letter from June and said they would process the claim and that it would take 2-3 weeks(this was after we came in asking for an explaination). The following week we received the letter explaining the penalties from the IRS and brought that letter to the office and got told it was in process and we'd receive a check in the mail. Today I called corporate and found out no claim had been submitted so we decided to go back into the office where we were first told that yes everything was in process and we just had to wait. Then another woman said she would look into it and guess what no claim had been filed. We also found out they only cover the penalties from the original letter in June of 2015, not the ones added this year AFTER THEY FAILED TO SUBMIT the peace of mind when we originally dropped off the papers. read more
