If I could give 5 negative stars, I would.
After being called an unreasonable amount of times by a human and a computer to confirm my appointment, (which I made over the phone with a person), the appointment turned out to be the BIGGEST waste of time ever.
This is the location where CPA's who won't retire go to work. No one we saw was under 70 years old. When we finally sat down with our CPA whom we had a 2 hour window scheduled with, he didnt' even say hello. He showed us to our seats at his desk and started telling us how difficult our taxes would be to file. (Both my husband and I are freelancers).
We explained that we were not new to this procedure having been freelancers for over a decade. The CPA continued to be negative and complain. Finally, my husband told him he was under the impression that our case was all "doom and gloom" and maybe we should see someone else. Then, the the CPA told us that he may prefer it because he hadn't filled out paper work for freelancers in many years.
We left making another appointment with another CPA, who I wrote a handwritten note to so he knew what we needed to accomplish. He called back two days later and said he didn't think he'd be able to deal with our case for several weeks - until after the April 15 deadline. We cancelled with him. Two days later, I get ANOTHER call to confirm the appointment which was already cancelled.
I went to another CPA at a different company the same day as my first terrible meeting. The new CPA had absolutetly no problem with our taxes and said it was pretty simple stuff. He didn't sweat it at all. And, was confident he'd be able to help figure it all out quickly.
If you don't want to work, or don't have the strength to work - RETIRE. This H & R block is TERRIBLE. I've never witnessed such AWFUL customer service ever. Save yourself the time, go elsewhere...it's worth the money to pay a bit more and deal with people who know what the heck they're doing. read more
