So when I found Anita's ad through an internet search, I was doubtful, but willing to try. My goal was to move forward in my life with dreams that had lived in my heart for decades but just could not work on them because the beliefs about myself were so deep, they felt as if they were in my DNA. She wanted to check whether I had received an email from Samantha so she gave me a name to search for. I found it so I pointed out that the email did not give any indication of a business response and I was waiting for a phone call, not an email as Sue had promised. This company has good intentions but poor communication issues. Dana seemed unaware that her folks could text so I pointed out that the text messages (through Yelp) had been flawless. I told Dana that I would upgrade my review from 1 to 3 because of her follow through. Dana waited a reasonable time before making a follow up call. She asked me if I got her emails and I said no so we did the search thing. I searched for her email and it came up "Executive Assistant". Talk about a spam flag! Sorry Dana, that's an email I would never open without an advanced "heads up" warning.

I am writing this to warn other business owners about the significant accounting errors and lack of…read moreaccountability we experienced at Rupert and Associates. We worked with this firm for two years, and it proved to be a major setback for our operations. Despite being assigned a "QuickBooks expert," the firm failed to manage our Housecall Pro integration correctly--continually insisting we simply unlink it. As the business owner, I was eventually able to coordinate with the software providers myself and fix the integration settings within just two weeks. Because our books were not being reconciled monthly as promised, we were advised to file 2024 taxes that were admittedly inaccurate to avoid "correction costs." This resulted in us overpaying on our tax liability based on flawed data. After I hired an independent bookkeeper in late 2025, they uncovered over 700 uncategorized transactions dating back nearly a year. Most damagingly, the firm underpaid our Q3 and Q4 Texas state sales tax. I am now personally responsible for the resulting fines and penalties. Despite these documented failures, the firm still charged $1,000 for "work performed" during the period these errors occurred. When I reached out to the owner to dispute this, they refused to take any responsibility for the penalties their mistakes caused. If you value accurate bookkeeping and a firm that stands by their professional work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
