Their Land's End Canvas line is like a cheaper and simpler version of J. Crew and is great for basics. Oxford cloth button downs, check. Sweaters in classic colors, check. The best part of Land's End? They take returns anytime on any item for any reason. A button on a pea coat I had fell off and I was kind of sick of the jacket... so I returned it. Full refund back on my card, no questions asked. I personally hate shopping at the Sears location. Something about Sears smells terrible. Literally, the stench. This location is better, although their selection is always random. Luckily, they have now started carrying some of the Canvas line, which is great. The one thing I don't like is their customer service from employees. Not very helpful ever (it's a bunch of moms). Overall though... always worth a 5 minute stop if you're over there to check out their selection. I scored a nice Canvas blue oxford for $22 (originally $50) last time.

I entered the promotional code, clicked on "place my order" and got the usual order confirmation and order number for tracking my order. Several days later (and I admit, I didn't print my orde confirmation or get an email, which did strike me as odd, but I assumed foolishly that it was in my junk mail) I logged in to check the progress of my order, and found out that it didn't exist. I spoke with an online customer service rep, who was definitely NOT helpful, nor respectful. Her comments pretty clearly indicated she had no intention of quickly assisting me in making the order. My items were still in my bag, and from her perspective it was user error. The new price on my items was more than double the price on the day of the order. Considering the fact that the company has sales daily, her comments were surprisingly not helpful. I have made my purchase from Appleseeds, and I am done giving money to a company that employs or supports rudeness. Rudeness is not part of my value system. Even if the entire country turns to rude behavior, I will not and I won't shop there any more. I have been a customer for nearly 30 years. I am done.

They also have a HUGE selection of one of my favorite brands...Vuori. It's massive and that jeans I don't have to go all the way to Bloomington to shop for Vuori. The associates were extremely friendly and helpful. I also bought a pair of Vuori comfy leisure wear pants for my hubby. Definitely will be back!

She also offered me other suggestions to try as an alternative. I couldn't tell you the last time I've received such wonderful customer service at a clothing store. Unfortunately, the clearance section did not have the jeans in my size, but I found some other goodies at a fantastic rate. The store was well organized . Staff were so friendly and personable. Only area that needed some attention was the fitting rooms. I was so happy to walk away with only spending $15 on two pairs of pants which normally would have costed me $60. There are no Nordstrom Rack stores in my area, and I wanted to find something. I found some blonde conditioner. A pet peave of mine is no price tags or stickers. There is some Clinique makeup but no prices. I brought the blonde conditioner to the front. I'm hoping it was under $20. It scanned at $10.99. I owed $1.90 in overage and tax. I use blonde conditioner for my silver hair. They have some type of rewards program, but I live far away from Nordstrom Rack, and I rarely go to Mall of America.
