He was over his head in electric tasks, fine with installing faucets in bathroom, but for installing simple tap switches, including 3way switches, he charged over $3000. Tap switches approximately 70 which he. Charged 46 hours labor at $50 per hour! It should have been 2-3 days max no matter what. When he couldn't figure out one 3 way, instead of letting us know that it was too complex, he continued to work unsuccessfully to figure out what was wrong. Previous to tap switch installation, ALL 3 Way switches worked great. This was a COSMETIC upgrade only. Electrician had estimated $1200 max. Supplies amounted to $750 for tap switches at Home Depot. I cannot in all conscience recommend this service except for straight forward repairs. Cancer treatments prevented someone there to supervise and I live out of town and was unable to oversee my house project. He worked hard but his progress was SLOW and then he couldn't finish n should have "called it" as too complicated much sooner. $50 per hour n he kept on attempting something beyond his capabilities.

Julio had personally done an inspection of the roof and knew what needed to be done. The entire valley had to be opened up. There was evidence of two previous repair attempts that were both done wrong. Julio's crew used the newest and best materials to repair the valley. Additional tile was required, that is no longer manufactured. Charlie knew a supplier in Durham, that had some of the tile and he went down and picked up the extra tile, which matched perfectly. The completed job was perfect and was tested that night and the next day with rain. No leaks! Julio is kind, caring and does the best work. And very affordable. If you are a new hot tub owner in need of quality wiring, Swearingen Electric is your company…read more After recently purchasing a hot tub, it was necessary to find an electrician to wire a 240v connection to the location. I am no good when it comes to electrical and felt my over-the-phone diagnoses were going nowhere with the other companies I had called for bids. Swearingen was the only of the companies to not only come out to give the estimate in-person, but also provide me with a timely quote. The quote I was given was in my budget so I went forth and scheduled the service. I based my decision heavily off of this company's online reviews as multiple had mentioned hot tub wiring, which was what I was in need of. Devon's assistant came out bright and early on the scheduled date and installed the line in the course of a few hours. I was impressed at the precision and feel that the quality was on par with what I was hoping for. Good electrician overall. I deducted one star as the final cost was 20% over what I was quoted - and it was due same day. Not the end of the world, but I did have to move money from my other accounts to accommodate the request (house-poor new homeowner here). Ultimately, all worked out. I can happily say that my hot tub works great. I'm glad I went with this company.
