What is this place? So you're probably a tourist in Dublin looking for a premium shopping…read moreexperience. Arnotts is the place to visit. I would describe it like the Bloomingdales or Saks 5th Avenue or Ireland. There's not a lot of options for individual luxury stores in the city so this place is a one-stop shop. Selections might be more limited because each store is smaller, but rest assured they have all the popular items. Tax-Free Shopping: For tourists (non-EU/GB residents), the tax-free shopping option is a huge plus. When you purchase your item, let them know you're interested in doing the tax-free rebate. You should bring your passport but the person who helped me said a photo was fine. They'll print out a receipt for you to submit to Planet at the airport. The minimum purchase is 75 euros to qualify. If the purchase amount of your goods is below 2,000 euros, you don't need to get a customs stamp at the airport. Just return your completed form at Planet desk after security or deposit it in the Planet drop box and they'll do it on your behalf. Considering the VAT is 23%, this is a great value for all you visiting shoppers. Don't forget to stop by this place and check it out before you leave town!

They had a decent albeit, uninspiring selection of name brands, maybe being a reflection our expanding digital world. The only thing to show from my visits was a 2026 notebook insert product.

We visited this department store a few days over the course of our trip. I wasn't sure at first what I was planning to buy but I kept eyeing one of the Louis Vuitton perfumes that I had previously discovered on a trip to Maui. Their perfumes are definitely on the pricey side but the nice thing is they're small enough for carry on liquid limits, they have a magnetic lid, and they're refillable - and the refills are also cheaper than the initial bottle purchase. The amount of times I sprayed that perfume on myself over my Maui and Dublin trips, I was sold - so that was my first add to cart moment. Next, was a belt. I thought I wanted a Gucci Marmot belt but my cousin convinced me to check out the Celine department - instead I went with a Triomphe belt. It's such a classic and timeless design so it was the right choice. And finally - the ultimate big purchase was in the Chanel department. For a long time I have been eyeing the goatskin grosgrain cap toe slingback heels. I have tried them on in NYC before but hadn't gone through with a purchase - until this trip; it was finally time! Also to add, every single sales person that we interacted with was incredibly nice. Elsewhere, designer stores don't always have the best customer service; however, I felt nothing but kindness when I was mulling over my big purchases - which to me were really big. And they were kind enough to combine them into one receipt so I could get the best VAT refund as well so extra thanks to each of the sales persons who helped me. The VAT refund process was super easy too - I just dropped off the completed form with receipt information at the airport and after a few weeks received the credit on my cad.

I went into this store hoping there would be numerous options to choose from. I also liked the signs out front advertising that there were special deals for tourists. While walking around the store, I got too warm and removed the cardigan I'd been wearing. Instead of putting it in my backpack (I find it easier to carry purchases that way while walking around the city), I carried it. I was immediately looked at with suspicion by the employees I passed, starting on the Floor 1. I sensed that they were even messaging each other about me, assuming I was trying to shoplift (my own 10-year old J. Jill sweater). I tried on some dresses and wondered if someone was spying on me in the dressing room. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything I loved. I was afraid of being stopped and wrongfully accused while leaving the store, so I purposely tied my sweater around my waist instead of putting it in my bag - so it was always visible. Thankfully, I wasn't approached by anyone, but the doorman/security guard (extremely tall man with bright blue eyes) made a point to walk out the door when he saw me coming, and then turn around to look me straight in the eyes as I left. It was a stressful experience; therefore, I would not recommend shopping there - especially if you're a tourist wearing a backpack.

Ruth was really helpful and set the items we selected aside as we shopped to our hands free. They have change rooms for you to try clothing as needed and an attendant to help you find sizes. What was really unique and cool to see was the Irish gold jewelry pieces and to learn the history about the particular source of the gold. They sell quality products from local and Irish companies. I really enjoyed finding true Irish based products. Thank you ladies!! I was in Dublin for just 7 days and I came back to this shop twice! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

We were told by a retail worker who looked ashamed, that they did not have lifts. Only stairs. l then looked at the stairs and it looked like Mount Everest to me. My disability is 90% invisible however I know my limits and I had my wheelchair with me that day. The lovely retail worker offered us free tea or coffee for us to go. However at this point I felt dejected. All I wanted to do was get something to eat with my father. To whoever owns this store an/or the building; DO BETTER! How would you feel if you couldn't see half the shop? Grab a bite to eat and a drink? How would you feel if that was your child? We are only a few days away from 2026 and to see this type of discrimination against disabled people is shocking. I am n mincing my words. It was pure discrimination. Pure and simple.
