It was bitter and tasted unlike the berries that the bowl had in it. The bananas were unripe which threw me off. I would give the berry bowl a 3/10. The price was the thing that encouraged me to make this review though. For the protein bowl and the berry bowl, I paid $34 for both. That price cannot be reasoned. If you're out and about and want to get a good bit of protein or want a sweet treat, I would encourage going elsewher. Unless you drove there in a Porsche, it's not worth the money.

BEST AÇAÍ BOWL EVER! I stumbled upon Toppin' while browsing…read moreYelp because 1. I obviously love açaí bowls and 2. I haven't found any worthy ones in CT...until now. We moved to CT from San Diego, CA where açaí bowls are all the rage so I have high standards. When I came across Toppin on Yelp, the photos looked great and knew I had to try. The cutest little shop connected to a hair salon (which I want to try next) and the staff are the friendliest and all related. We got to talking, turns out they know our favorite açaí bowl place in San Diego! Small world! After good conversation, we received our bowls and not only were they beautiful to look at, but absolutely delectable! Even better than our favorite place!!! I am thrilled that we found Toppin! We will be coming here so much more often! We got the Ruby & Chandy. Both delicious! Love that PB was mixed in to the açaí bowl and added to the top. The Chandy had nutella too, so tasty! Thank you so much, Chandra!!!

A price for a shake with no "extra" add ons is $11 which is completely outrageous to begin with. I enjoy the shakes, so I continue to pay the price. I am unwilling however to spend OVER that to have add ons in a shake THAT I DONT NEED!! On the menus located inside it is not noted anywhere that the specials come with an extra charge. I am from the NE corner and visit many of the shake shops within a half hour and I can assure you NO OTHER shop is up charging extra for shake specials nor telling customers they cannot purchase a special without an extra cost. As much as I've loved this shop they have forever lost my business.
