For a space that a realtor would describe as "cozy", they really make the most of it. Bright colored furniture and walls adorned with local art add light and an invitation to stick around a hang for a while. The woman at the counter was helpful in telling us what was part of the event and upgrade options. We chose to have the grilled cheese panini and the Fancy Italy. We found a seat at one of the tables and shortly after, our sandwiches were served. The sandwiches were well assembled and pressed to perfection, toasting the bread without sacrificing its soft interior and warming the ingredients through. The Fancy Italy had finely shaved prosciutto, goat cheese, spinach and fig spread. The ham was sliced so thinly it was easy to bite through and chew. The balance of salty and sweet between the ham and the fig was divine, with the tangy goat cheese rounding out the sandwich to create something delicious. The grilled cheese was pretty straightforward but nothing special. An assortment of cheese I couldn't particularly identify melted together to make a fairly standard grilled cheese. However, you could still tell that even with this simple sandwich, they press and serve with care This spot also offers a selection of smoothies, acai bowls and fresh pressed juices. Located in the Gate plaza right off post road, it's an easy place to pop in for a healthy, well balanced lunch while shopping in the area

In the sprawling banality of a North Kingstown strip mall, wedged between the consumer temples of…read moreKohl's and HomeGoods, lies an unexpected island of healthy culinary sincerity. T's Vault Smoothie & Juice Bar isn't trying to be a sandwich shop, even though it's taking part in the #RIFoodFights Sandwich Showdown this month, it's trying to be a healthy and delicious option while you shop. The aesthetic here speaks of practicality with a pulse - sunshine-yellow walls with a playful fruit logo that manages to avoid the saccharine trappings of most "health food" establishments. No sanctimonious preaching about detoxing your chakras. Just honest food in an honest space, aside from the wall sign providing the benefits of pitata, acai, and guarana. Their grilled cheese is a testament to the beauty of restraint. The bread - crisp outside giving way to cloud-like middle - delivers that textural contradiction that separates civilization from barbarism. A blend of cheddar and American cheese, melted to that precise moment, speaks to someone in the kitchen who knows about timing. It's buttery without apology. The prosciutto sandwich offers a more complex narrative - paper-thin ham playing against the yummy anarchy of fig spread, while goat cheese delivers that farmyard funk. The spinach is there for color, texture, and the lie we tell ourselves about balance. The ham quantity borders on acceptable, but in the grand equation of the sandwich, it works. You won't find pretentious mixologists crafting artisanal açaí potions here. No reclaimed wood harvested by bearded men in flannel. Just decent people making decent food with ingredients that don't require a glossary. This is a culinary middle path - neither fast food purgatory nor precious farm-to-table self-importance. It's the kind of place locals know you by name, where the person behind the counter might remember your order and actually mean it when they ask how you're doing. In a world of excess and Instagram theatrics, there's something warmly authentic about a place that just wants to make you a good sandwich. No bullshit. No pretense. Just care in simple things. And sometimes, between the big box stores and parking lot vastness of suburban RI, that's exactly the kind of unexpected grace we all need.

Thank goodness I found this adorable shake shop, hidden in a nondescript plaza right next to a Stop n' Shop supermarket. The amazing tea that I got was the perfect cap to a sunny afternoon of outdoor fun. The menu is extensive and impressive, and even though the shakes sound decadent, they are actually healthy and packed with protein - just what you need to fuel up before tackling a jaunt to Cliff Walk or cool down after a run on Bellevue Avenue. There are the usual suspects, like the Strawberry Banana and Mocha Chip, but I am so excited to try the more adventurous offerings like the Raspberry Lemon Torte and Strawberry Pop Tart. We have a long spring and summer of nice days ahead, and I look forward to returning to update my review when I try more of the menu! That being said, even though I just got a simple iced tea, it was really a standout. The raspberry-lemon flavor was light and sweet without all the sugar. I am not sure what the teas are sweetened with, but it tasted like stevia/monkfruit or some other plant based zero calorie sweetener. Yum! I am going to get a larger sized tea next time for sure. The shop is super cute, bright, and airy with ample seating and a clean environment. I got the chance to meet Tracy, the owner, and she's just as bright and bubbly as the shakes and teas on her menu! Bellevue Nutrition is a must-visit if you're in the are, and a great addition to the neighborhood!

We were there this past weekend he got a strawberry mango vanilla smoothie. We asked if there were any nuts in it. They said no as soon as we left and walked out to our car, my son started having an allergic reaction severely. I don't know if they didn't rinse the containers and it was cross-contamination but they need to do better. My baby ended up going to the hospital via ambulance & needed an EpiPen & breathing treatments, needless to say we spent our holiday in the hospital for hours. This is not OK. They need to have a whole separate station for allergies free container containers that you make smoothies in this could've been very badly for my son who is only seven. And no one asked us as soon as we walked in there. If there was a nut allergy my son actually asked the staff if there was nuts in his shake please do better. This is not OK and cannot happen again.
