    Greek water
    Alexis M.

Wow wow wow. What an amazing Greek spot with amazing customer service and delicious food. The owners are absolutely the sweetest and definitely put their heart and soul into this spot. For a walk up food spot at the mall it feels like you're eating at a 5 star restaurant. Their menu is simple and the prices are great for what you get. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 gyro plates, water from Greece and the baklava cheesecake. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful and paired with the fresh pita and tzatziki sauce it made for a delicious meal. The rice and salad were perfect sides for this meal too. The water was crisp and clean and plentiful to share between 2 people. Now, the star of the show is the baklava cheesecake. I've never had anything like it before and it was so amazing I wish we got 2 so I could have my own slice. I definitely recommend!

Stopped by the gyro spot while I was at the mall since it's new and we wanted to give it a try. I love a good Greek spot, so I was excited to see one open up. The service started off great. One gentleman was very informative and helpful, taking the time to tell me about the menu. A younger gentleman took my order and let me know it would take about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, it ended up taking quite a bit longer. I ordered a gyro plate and a side of fries--nothing complicated. After about 30 minutes, I went up to the counter to check in and was told it would be a little longer. They offered to give me my fries while I waited, which I appreciated because I was very hungry. The fries were well seasoned and pretty good. Another 20 minutes went by before my food was ready. At that point, I found out the rice still wasn't done and would take about another 20 minutes. I really wanted the rice, but they had already substituted it with fries, which I had already ordered. The staff member let me know I could wait for the rice, so I decided to stick it out. When the rice finally came out, it was good. Overall, the plate itself was good and definitely hit the spot.I absolutely tore up that salad, it was exactly the type of salad I love. I understand they're new and still working out their flow, so I'm hoping things smooth out because it would be nice to have a solid Greek spot around. I may give them another try, just probably not on the weekend and during off-peak hours.

This is the Traditional Gyro on there menu. The fries are also top notch. So good!

Okay... this place?? So good. The gyro was packed, flavorful, and actually filling (which is rare these days). Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they don't cut corners. The meat was juicy, the seasoning hit just right, and the whole thing came together perfectly. Yeah, it's a little pricey--but honestly? Worth every dollar. This isn't fast food quality, this is "I'm already planning my next visit" quality. Safe to say I'll be back... probably sooner than I should be. Okay... this place?? So good. I've become a regular. I've enjoyed the loaded fries, Philly cheese steak gyro, the classic gyro, side salad and their falafel. Everything is do fresh and delicious. They are family owned and they treat me like family every time I order. Large portions friendly faces and good food.

Best Greek food in the AV! Food taste very authentic & you can tell it's made with love. Nick is an incredible chef & very accommodating. The environment was welcoming I will definitely be coming back!

It's one of the best Gyro's in the AV!

Finally, some good food at the AV mall. If you are second guessing eating at this place, do it, IT IS DELICIOUS! I just started eating Greek food and when I saw this place I was in awe! The staff are really nice! The food is really fresh, i saw them hand chopping ingredients! They take their foods seriously and as they should. I ordered the chicken Gyro with no onions. My daughter had a cheese burger (she's a kid, not really interested in newer foods yet). Damn, this was a good gyro! Nice portion size of chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, and Tzatziki sauce. The chicken were larger chucks of goodness, well seasoned as well. The pita bread was toasted really well. The Chicken gyro came by itself which was a good thing because its pretty big! I was full after the one. The fries my daughter had with her cheese burger were odd. They were nicely crispy but had a lovely herby flavor to them, they were delicious. I highly recommend anyone visiting the AV mall give this place a try, they put a lot of passion into their food, and its taste amazing. I wouldnt be surprise they ended up shutting down the neighboring restaurants in the food court with their delicious food. Thank you Gyro Stop, very delicious food.

The food was delicious, I had the chicken kabob meal and it was amazing. The service was phenomenal. The food was fast and the staff there was so helpful. My new favorite restaurant in the mall! 5/5 stars!

They provided samples of their fries and gyro to entice you. The fries are fried in beef tallow which grants them a lasting umami. They were pretty delicious . The gyro was also delicious, a nice balance of lamb and beef. I would come again!

10/10!! Definitely would recommend. I came here with my coworkers for lunch and we loved it. I got the greek salad with beef. It was very tasty and portions are good size. The owner was very nice and friendly. Definitely would be coming back.

I was in the mood for a good hearty salad as I had a heavy seafood meal the night before and was planning on big bbq for weekend so I wanted to kinda have a clean fill up in between! So we selected the chicken kebab salad, something with the Lulu and Shawarma chicken, the tzatziki dip with some pita bread and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. To me the kebabs were a bit too charred I'm not sure if that's how they should be or not. I was expecting soft savory meat not a dry different version of bbq meat. The dressing was dryer than expected (that was my best adjective at the moment) it was vinegar overpowering. I had hoped for think more of a fruit maybe flavored balsamic taste. I didn't finish it I just ended up drinking lunch along with the tzatziki dip. I did like the rice that came with my mother's meal too. It was flavorful and made perfectly (unlike my rice!) So for me this was a one and done type a place I'm glad I experienced it, but I won't be back.

The staff here was welcoming and kind and we sat wherever we pleased. The location is quaint but can seat a decent amount of customers. The menu has changed a bit over time. One thing I'd like to mention is the food is consistently good whether your order take-out or dine in. The quality is the same! My personal favorite has always been their Classic Gyro. It's always so stacked with flavor and protein. The combo is a great option too because you can share the massive portion of fries they give you. My husband and I usually order take-out, but on our recent visit, we decided to dine in. We arrived on a Sunday evening (5pm). Parking is shared with other businesses in the plaza. We found one in the shade. The restaurant is small, but they utilize their space well. There are 4 tables and I believe 3 high-top tables as well as outdoor seating. The interior is well-kept and decorated nicely to match the Greek theme. Ordering takes place at the counter, no self-serve kiosk. They have many menu options like sides, gyros, plates, kids menu, family meal, lunch specials, soups, and desserts. My go-to item is their Greek Chicken Pita with Lemon Sauce in place of the tzatziki ($13). I would sometimes order this with a side of fries, but my husband got it in his combo. The reason I order this all the time is because the pita not only tastes amazing, it's also filling! There's grilled chicken, potatoes, pickled onions, greens, and lemon sauce. The pita is thick and has the perfect chew to it. There is so much flavor in every bite! The fries were delicious as well. They were soft on the inside and crisp and seasoned well on the outside. Overall, a great spot for Mediterranean food. I would happily recommend this to anyone!

The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with some indoor limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers.  COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination.  While I was here eating my food in this establishment a month ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. But this isn't strictly enforced. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is incredibly small. They have valet parking. I urge you to park on the street. However, be wary of the signs. On one side, there is a no parking sign on Wednesdays from 12PM - 3PM. On the other side, it says no parking on Thursdays from 12PM - 3PM. Basically don't go there on Monday and Tuesday (they are closed) and Wednesday and Thursdays for horrible street parking. It is a shame that a cute mom and pop restaurant closed. I am sad that I did not know about it sooner. I would have came more frequently. They have been opened since 1948. Very impressive! Food: I ordered a baklava, spanakopita, and gyro sandwich. The house made baklava went perfect with my coffee the next day. A delicious start to a new day. The baklava combines layers of honey-soaked crisp phyllo pastry and a cinnamon-scented nut mixture with pistachios, walnuts, and hazelnut. To me, nothing rivals homemade baklava. The texture of crispy and flaky phyllo pastry. The crunchy filling. And the warm honey syrup. It is all I want in a dessert / breakfast. The spanakopita was very delicious and filling. This spanakopita had sauteed spinach, feta cheese and seasonings, all wrapped up in phyllo dough and baked until golden brown and crisp. It's the perfect blend of spinach, cheese, onions, and herbs in a buttery crust. It was very savory. The gyro sandwich was so mouthwatering. My gyro sandwich included succulent, marinated, and seasoned lamb and beef grilled to perfection. Then it was wrapped up with fresh tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and feta cheese in warm, soft, and slightly chewy pita, and slathered in delicious homemade creamy tzatziki sauce. I got a pistachio yogurt bar from their mini deli and market area. It was so nutty, creamy, and rich. Perfect for a hot summer's day. I love that they use real pistachio with yogurt to make it. None of the fake artificial stuff was used. Glad I didn't offer my close friend a bite of this otherwise he would have suffered a severe allergic reaction in the restaurant. That would have made the dining experience incredibly memorable, and not in a good way LOL I love that they have a complimentary water station for customers to grab as much water as they want. I got it again, over 10 years later, and it is still as good as remembered. Prices have doubled (what can you expect in our current economy T_T), but the portion is still generous and the food still fresh and yummy. I brought BF and we ordered a spread enough for a family of four: spanakopita, tiropita, sausage appetizer, gyro sandwich, beef kefta patties sandwich (they were out of the beef kebab), fish sandwich, chicken kebab plate, and loukoumades dessert. Everything was fresh, light and delicious (okay, the dessert was a little too sweet for me)! We also grabbed a $3.99 baguette from the connected market. If you're planning on coming for one last visit before they close that first weekend of May 2025, make sure to come early and queue in the front of the store.
