I'm pretty fond of both fast casual Greek and Mediterranean spots in the greater Seattle area. I scribbled down at least fifteen I've tried over the years. Driving to and from the Edmonds ferry terminal, I had noticed the exterior signage for Gyro Makers. I figured it was time to check it out since it had been open for over three months now (7/6/25). It is located in strip mall retail area with a shared parking lot, in between Bartell Drugs, the UPS Store and Ono Poké. There are a few two and four tops for onsite dining. I noticed they also do a fairly brisk takeout service. Welcoming folks at the ordering counter. There's a posted menu, as well as, a tri fold menu available to take with you. Nice selection of plate or wrap items, a la carte sides, salads, kids menu items, baklava, and chilled beverages too. There's even Turkish coffee and Arabic tea available. Since this was an all in one late breakfast-lunch-early dinner meal, we ordered the following: 1 gyro sandwich ($11.29), 1-12oz lentil soup ($6.49), 1 Arabic chicken shawarma ($12.49), and an order of Special Heroes Fries topped with lamb/beef, spices, and garlic sauce ($13.99). With tax and tip, it was under $57. First off the portion sizes are huge! Duly noted, fresh produce were used, which was greatly appreciated. Succulent and flavorful chicken and beef/lamb were generously used in the menu items. Lively spices and well prepared tzaziki and garlic sauces were evident. Not sure if they're related to the spot south near Renton, but regardless they definitely make gyros. Visited off a recommendation from my good friends at Alfi Real Estate (shoutout Mike) as they just recently opened. Overall delicious food with fantastic service, so very happy to welcome them to Edmonds. Some price bias as I loved the Greek options near U-District and those options are friendlier for college budgets, so I thought prices were a little higher, but the quality is high. Gyro Plate - was starving after surviving on matcha for the day and this filled me up. Could be made into one and a half (or two) meals. Well balanced flavors, savory, salty, and slight sourness from the tomatoes and tzatziki. Rice was a bit plain underneath the layering and mixing didn't quite get all the grains. May benefit from some sauce immediately above the rice, sandwiched below meat but still very tasty. read more

I met the owner and he was wonderful. His cook was a special kind of guy too. Both very likable because they were so personable. They had only been open 2 weeks. I was getting something from the UPS store in the same storefront, and although I had something else in mind for lunch, I decided to give Gyro Makers a chance. I figured at the very least it would make it easy for me to just hop back on the ferry without navigating my way through Edmonds and Lynnwood in search of a somewhere to have lunch. The restaurant is super clean it has a nice "gyro restaurant" ambiance about it. The menu was extensive enough, but I was only going to get either a gyro sandwich or salad. And I settled on the salad with the beef and lamb combo. I'll try the chicken one the next time. The portion was ridiculously large, but you paid that price for it. So literally I think I'll have three meals out of it. Today which i've already enjoyed. Tomorrow where the flavors will probably be more connected. And the day after, if it's still good and I'll have to check and make sure. But that's how much food they gave me! I will say that while it was good the flavors weren't quite as sharp as what I'm used to with greek food. A little more pungent punctuated flavors, the kind that leave your mouth still tasting it for at least a a little bit of time after the meal is done, was not quite there. I'm just pointing that out, and not actually complaining. Joseph, the owner, asked me if I like falafel, and I don't. And he was going to offer me a sample, so of course I took it, and because it's pretty rare for me to turn down free food. Anyway it was quite delicious. It wasn't as dry as I am familiar with falafel everywhere else I have had it. The fact that it was moist was very appealing but it was also different. When I took a bite and looked at the inside, it was green. Yes, the color green. I'm used to biting into falafel in it being brown all the way through. I'm not sure what the ingredients were. I was in a rush to get out to grab that ferry real quick, so I didn't take the time to ask. But it was actually quite good, enough that I actually might order it someday. Even though this is a newer restaurant in Edmonds, they have some experience because they've owned a restaurant in Renton the past four years. I wish them the best. I'll return occasionally when when I am that side of the water from time to time. read more

Friendly service and the best chicken gyro salad! You can taste the quality and I love the variation of herbs and spices and veggies in the salad. The yogurt sauce they put on top was so yummy. This is my new go to Greek spot. I can't wait to try more of their food. read more

I ordered to-go and they really missed the mark for me. I ordered the chicken schwarma plate and was disappointed. The prices are extremely high for a meal that is almost entirely rice. Close to $30? Thats insanity. The chicken portion was very small - chopped up little bits. I did not find it to be fulfilling at all (and I am a woman who doesnt have a large appetite). The seasoning also wasnt quite right. All in all, just not as good as I had hoped. The packaging they use is terrible. The to go boxes are very flimsy and the food soaks thru, making the boxes almost completely fall apart. You will drop your food if you aren't careful. To sum it up, its not gross, just very mid and not worth the price point. Id rather go eat Greek food elsewhere as there are lots of other great spots nearby. read more

This was my first time here and I loved it. My husband ordered us the Chicken Shawarma plate and side order of fries. It was absolutely delicious, and fed both of us. Flavors are on point and I liked that the chicken was cut up into small bites. The service was great and they were super accommodating with extra sauces etc. I will definitely be back. read more

I have a confession--I'm obsessed with Mediterranean food in all its seemings and avatars. Babaganoush? Gimme. Hummus? Show me the pita. Chicken kebab? Now we're talkin'. Don't get me started on roasted cauliflower. I dressed as one for Halloween. Talk about committed to the flower of the cauli varietaaay. OK, so I was excited to finally try Gyro Makers. High praise on DoorDash. Heard good things around town. The time had come. Then I saw their prices. Whoa, they're exorbitant. I know Edmonds is expensive but what the actual falafel, dudes? I gave it a go anyway with chicken kebab. Yeah, it wasn't worth the price. Flavor was OK, but the chicken was cut up into tiny morsels. The rice was nothing special. Hummus was very good. Salad was pocket-sized but fresh. I'm going to given them a second shot and try a different dish, but their prices may force me to go back to Fork Mediterranean. Regardless, Caravan Kebab is the best Mediterranean food by a mile. read more

Came here on a Sunday evening and we were serviced very quickly. The staff were very friendly. They gave us lentil soup on the house while we waited for our food, and we thought that was very generous of them. (Which was delicious and flavorful btw!) We got the chicken gyro, beef and lamb shawarma, and two sides of fries, one being the Greek fries. Everything was very good, 10/10! No complaints at all. The meat in the shawarma was not greasy at all, the chicken was juicy, and everything tasted fresh. The side of fries was large enough for 2 people to share, so we really could've gotten away with ordering just one. Definitely coming back and recommending my friends to this place. We've been waiting for this place to open. Yesterday we had the Gyro plate, the Shawarma plate and Greek fries. Greek/Middle Eastern food like this is usually middle of the road: ok but not outstanding. This was outstanding. The meat was tasty and plentiful, the rice just the right way cooked and spiced, the salad was nice and fresh and the hummus was the right consistency and yummy. And the fries were GREAT! The food is simply amazing! Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful and is energizing. Surprisingly I was not wowed by the gyros. I was wowed by the Arabic chicken shawarma which is even better than a gyro. The humus plate topped with the chicken shawarma is one of the most intensely flavorful dishes I have ever eaten! I feel super nourished when I eat it. The lentil soup is very good. The sweet potato fries are perfect. My wife loves the chicken kabob salad. I sampled it and it is truly wonderful. Seems like forever waiting for this place to open, but now it's here, and well-worth the wait. I grabbed the gyro pita for a quick lunch to go, and BLAM, they crushed it! The pita was soft and fluffy, stuffed with the lamb/beef blend that was zippy with lots of seasoning. Veggies on top were all fresh and crisp, and a generous slathering of tzatziki balanced the seasoning with a nice cool finish. I wish I'd been hungrier, as the menu is full of fun choices, with great sides, salads, and plates. I'm looking forward to a long, rewarding relationship with this place for years to come. My girlfriend and I had been anxiously awaiting the grand opening of this new place. They've been open a little over a week now, and they certainly did not disappoint! Kind and welcoming as we entered, and clean as a whistle inside (everything is brand new). We ordered a shawarma wrap and a gyro. Both were very generous portions, and well-seasoned. We had an amazing Gyro (hoorah no onions) filled with delicious meat and super fresh chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber with a delicious tzatziki sauce. Lots of meat too! Had to take the rest home. My husband had the falafel with hummus and Baba Ganoush. Again lots of fresh lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes underneath! Both the hummus and Baba Ganoush were extra creamy. I ordered the chicken kebobs' plate which came with rice , salad and humus for $20 and my husband ordered the Arabic Shawarmah for 12! The 12.00 order was huge as well as my $20 ! I've been here twice since they opened and I love it. Food is really good, spices and flavors are on point and it's always made fresh to order. The folks working here are kind and efficient and are super patient when you can't decide. Definitely more of a takeout vibe but plenty of room to sit and eat if you'd prefer to do that. I orderd 5 chicken gyros, 3 sweet potato fries and 3 baklavas for pick up. When I got there, I was informed that the baklava was out. This was disappointing, but oh, well. (on previous occasions they were also out of baklava. Perhaps they should review how much is needed per day.) When I got home, I received 5 beef/lamb gyros. This was a much bigger disappointment and too late the change. The price for a gyro is a bit high and then I got the wrong ones. (Best to check your order before leaving.) We found this place on here based off the reviews. It exceeded our expectations! It is VERY hard to please everyone in our family of 6, but all the kids loved it. The portions were so generous that we took food home--also unusual. The flavor was great. I personally loved all the sauces, garlic, tahini, and tazhiki. The service was great too!
