This used to be the spot of White Rabbit when it was a consignment shop but now this classy decor and ladies clothing and accessories store. The style inside is very classy but fabulous with high color, lots of print, sequin and lace and edgy items from some smaller, high-end designers. I loved the Michael Aram section with some beautiful dinnerware, frames, candles and other accessories for the home. It's pricey but everything in here is unique and it was a fun browse. I found several wonderful items of clothing, some home accessories, and some items on the sale rack in the back that were good price.

I haven't been to the new location, but the photos on other social media looks amazing. I'm hoping to get there soon but every time I've walked in the owner is so nice and so polite and so helpful . She's a fantastic person all around. She likes to take what can be a sour moment in life and find a positive in it or continue to laugh through the hard times. It shows through the products that she sells a sense of humor is something we all need. Everything is priced fair you can even find sale items. Her clothes are so cute that I've gotten a couple things for my daughter. There's a wide variety of pricing so I'm sure there's a gift for everybody. You shouldn't walk out empty-handed. If you're looking for some quirky gifts or something to add to your collection, this is definitely a store you need to hit up.

Tucked away in the…read moreEdinburgh area in Chesapeake, it's located right next to the Barrel Room in the complex of businesses across the street from Target. EJB is an all around feel good shop. When I need a mood booster or when I am looking for a gift, I go there. It's kinda like that shop in the malls that was called Spencer's except this is his witty, sophisticated older sister who has the same family sense of humor, but classy. The owner and her staff are just the sweetest people and they genuinely love to see you come in whether you are coming in to take a look around or on a mission to get some retail therapy! This shop is PACKED with so many goodies that it's hard to see it all in one visit. They change the layout of the store quite often. Every time you go, I notice something new and I love that things are sold in limited quantities except for a few items and brands. Keeps things fresh. The owner likes to do her own retail therapy by shopping for the store and sometimes, she'll only buy a limited quantity and once that item is gone, it's gone! This isn't an exhaustive list, but these are some of the things you can find: - the round table in front will have some themed display depending on the time of year (Black History Month, Women's History Month, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Pride, Halloween, Christmas etc etc.) - women's clothing and fun(ny) t-shirts - jewelry (lot of it made by local artists) - mugs and wine glasses with funny quotes - kids section with adorable books about important historical figures - greeting cards (not your ordinary cards) - self affirmation journals and notebooks - coasters with the funniest sayings on them - oven mitts and kitchen towels - lots of fun gift bags and tissue paper and so much more! Take a look at the pics, because that will give you a better idea. Every time I am in need of a gift, EJB is my first stop! There is literally something for everyone, (unless they have no sense of humor). I did go in there once in search of a gift for my kid's teacher and then I held back. I didn't know her THAT well and my kid was STILL in her class. Maybe end of year gift? LOL Anyway, you should definitely stop by but if you can't, take a look online because they also ship! They have several shop events throughout the year and they also collaborate with other local businesses to provide a collective discount or prize and makes supporting local fun! Also, don't forget to look in the bag for a little envelope. You won't want to throw that out! Pro-tip: They just recently started offering a rewards program, so be sure to sign up for those! Stay safe, Friends!

There is no empty spaces. They stay fully stocked. I can never walk out empty handed. I always find good items. They start out with a great selection of cards. You can even get packs of cards and stationary. I would say 1/4 of the store is stationary. Their seasonal items are also wonderful. They get new items in all the time. From week to week they run sales too. If I am in the shopping center I drop in just to see what new stuff they have or what sales they are running. Like I said I am always buying something. This past visit my husband was even buying a bunch. They are not limited to items for women. They have a nice selection for everyone. My husband got a bunch of cool looking socks. They seem to really keep up with the latest trends. Whoever is their buyer for this store they are doing a great job. We shop here as often as we can. We always buy gifts ahead. When that persons birthday comes or a gift giving holiday we already have something for them .

Shop local like you mean it and you won't be disappointed at Texture!…read more After many years, Texture has relocated out of the quaint house on Baldwin Avenue to serve its customers in a more convenient location just a few blacks down on Colley Avenue. The new location is nestled next to Running, Etc and across the street from Blair Middle School. It boasts ample street parking with a convenient side parking lot for customers as well. A beautiful store-front window is always displayed to perfection bringing window shopping to life during your stroll down Colley Avenue. A charming sidewalk chalkboard sign greets you before you even enter the store. The handiwork on the sign is done by a local artist which speaks to the nature of Texture. As you enter the shop, you will find it proudly supports local artists of Coastal Virginia from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and more. I'm always impressed by the jewelry, hand designed greeting cards, pottery, and accessories that the owner finds for the store. She or any other "Texurette" will happily tell you about the origins of any item. The ladies who work in the shop (Texurettes, as they are fondly called) are always friendly and helpful if you are looking for something particular. They offer complimentary gift wrapping in adorable gift bags tied with ribbon. Every time I give a gift in a Texture bag the recipients eyes light up! You will find a price range for every wallet. I have bought $2 hand soaps, hilarious dishes towels for $10 as well as beautiful jewelry in the higher price range. Texture is one of those local shops who truly supports local as well. I love both that they give back to the community and support local artists. It is definitely the ideal place to find a gift for any occasion. They have a baby boutique with one of a kind baby gifts, vintage inspired puzzles, funny gifts such as socks and dish towels, coastal decor, jewelry, handbags, pottery, candles and more. I'm not sure how the owner did it, but the move to their new location only brought more of that local charm with them to Colley Avenue. They are still serving up friendly southern greetings to every customer while making their new shiny store feel ever so welcoming. Kudos!
