However, many of them were not open and I did not want to stick around to nearly noon for them to open. This mall, looking a little new and fancy, is not immune to the effects of malls dying. There were more than a few empty storefronts. You can tell that some of them were recent and some of them have been vacant for a time. Walking around the mall you will stumble upon a few places that open before the mall states it is open. I was told this was because the stores were allowed to evaluate hours and open when they wanted to. Kind of defeats the purpose of assigning hours for the whole mall if you allow stores inside to make their own hours.
