Huge shout out to GW Pumps & Purification for installing our new hot water heater yesterday. After the old one flooded out last Thursday we set up an appointment with Home Depot to have one installed on Saturday. Well, the tech didn't show up and stopped answering calls so I decided to go local but everywhere was closed Sun/Mon for the holiday weekend. After calling around various places yesterday and being told I would have to wait 1 to 2 weeks GW Pumps & Purification rearranged their schedule and got a guy out yesterday afternoon. Big Rip OFF from GW Pumps. The female tech started removing sections of 1 1/2" PVC from the inside of the irrigation pump house, and outside saying that we had to make sure there were not "leaks" in the PVC. What really was needed was a check valve, so it took her 3 hours to re-assemble everything, and a $100 per hour hourly rate!. That is more than a auto mechanic! I CAN NOT recommend GW Pump and Purification, at 1712 Bunche St Melbourne, FL. Their web site is gwpumps.com They charged me $500.00. Update. I spent $500 for re-piping back in June 2014 by a female tech from GW Pump. What was actually wrong was the pump was wore out! I had to replace the pump (NOT with GW Pump!) GW Pump needs to be investigated for criminal activity! There was no reason for the tech from GW Pumps to get out of the vehicle and IMMEDIATELY start sawing off the PVC pipe from the pump house. She did no testing, just sawing.. read more

We called this company to come prime our pump. That's all we needed. This woman came out, critical of the pipe coming from the well to the house. Before my husband could stop her, she cut off the pipe...then didn't have the correct parts to fix, so put it right back the same way it was. My husband said, I'm not paying for that, you didn't have to do that. She said, I can just leave right now, and leave you with no water. How terribly unprofessional. She then proceeded to actually do what we asked. She took out her pumping device, and began the process. It took quite awhile, and after about 30 minutes, she got very agitated, and said, there's a suction leak, look at all those little bubbles! We couldn't see any little bubbles, but she carried on and on, and then she said, I need to redo the pump head. She also said the pipe bringing water from the well was too thin walled...that's going to be a problem. This is the same pipe that has carried water from the pump to the house SINCE IT WAS BUILT 30 YEARS AGO! She then cranked on the pipe leading out of the pump and the gauge, breaking it, so it began to leak. My husband looked at me and said well, what do you think. Should we have her fix the pump head? I said, well I don't understand why she didn't just prime the pump to begin with. She said, it would never have worked, I would have wasted hours and hours....(that we were paying for) and it just never would have worked. I said, but how do you know? You didn't even try. She got furious, and said, I can't talk to you people! She gathered up her equipment, and went out to her truck. I closed the garage door because I didn't want to have to listen to her. She shouted that she would send her boss out, he could deal with us. Some man named Ray came out around 7 that evening, and my husband told him about how that woman had acted, what she had done, and what she had said. He just kept shaking his head, and kindly fixed the pipe she broke. So today, we got the bill, for 226$, which included the pipe she cut, and the parts that put the pipe exactly the way it had been. It will be a long time before we pay this bill, and we want everyone on yelp to see how this woman is. Never, never use this business. I had a tenant who reported no hot water at the house. I called several other plumbers, just going down those available in the local are. These others were booking a week out, and not one offered to have a tech come out to check to see if it were something simple. That is, until I went with GW Pumps and Purification. The front desk person offered solutions, and made a call to see if there was a rep close to my property for a *quick* solution. I am grateful that I don't have to leave a tenant out with cold showers...who likes that?! I'm grateful for the speed and problem-solving attitude, as well. read more

Beware - if you want to write about YOUR experience be prepared for the owner to harass you! I've been contacted multiple times by e-mail and even given another unsolicited lecture about how they are still right and I am wrong and then asked to change my review because negative reviews impact their livelihood! Seriously? Paying over $300 for nothing impacted us. I called them for the first time late in the afternoon and they came out the very next day and fixed my pool pump leak as well as took down my pump information to be prepared to fix or replace the bearings on it if it breaks down.
