I have had ongoing issues with my neck and back most of my life and have suffered from migraine headaches, back pain, and for the past 5 years, neck and shoulder pain that travels down my left arm to my fingers. I have been a patient with Dr. Guzzardo since October 2011 but have had chiropractic care throughout my life. I have been a patient with 4 different chiropractors. Aside from chiropractor care, I have seen my family doctor to prescribe medication for my neck and shoulder pain and migraine headaches. I was prescribed ibuprofen and muscle relaxers to take as needed for the neck/shoulder pain and Imitrex for my migraine headaches. When I have migraine headaches, it is hard for me to even function, I have to lay down in the dark and take medication for the pain. I am still able to work and function with my neck and shoulder pain but it can decrease my quality of life and my activities while I am having extreme pain. Since seeing Dr. Guzzardo I have had hardly any migraine headaches and have seen huge improvement in my neck and shoulder. The pain that I experience is much less and more infrequent. My family and I have been very pleased with Dr. Guzzardo in the many years that we have been patients. We now have 2 young daughters who also see Dr. Guzzardo and I have been very pleased with their overall health that chiropractic care has given them. It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since I first walked into Dr. Guzzardo's office wondering if he would be able to help me and if I even wanted to try chiropractic. It wasn't even recognized by insurance companies. I was teaching high impact aerobics at the time and had suffered a lower back injury that just wouldn't subside. Dr. Guzzardo was great and patient with me. I was fearful of the adjustments but he helped me overcome the fear of being "cracked." My name is Sandra Novak and I have been going to Dr. Guzzardo for many years, but some time ago I stopped going----but later on I had back surgery and I decided to go back to Dr. Guzzardo thinking that his adjustments just might help me. I talked to my doctor the surgeon and asked him if this would be a good idea and he told me to try it and see if it works. My chiropractic care began in early June. I was suffering from acute pain in my lower back and right shoulder- pain that prohibited me from walking and participating in life as i had known it.
