First and foremost, Dr. Clark has my back!!!
It all started with "Oh, my aching back!! Oh, my sciatic nerve pain radiating down my left leg!!" I made the very stupid mistake of not listening to my pain. I was telling my other half that I do need to get this checked out and you all know how it goes, the pain has subsided and I'm feeling better now.. One evening we happened to be driving down Hayes and seen Macomb Spine Center right off of Hayes and 18 Mile Road. I went inside to grab a business card from the reception area just to keep as a reference.. the famous "just in case I need it".. A patient was sitting in the waiting room and told me that he has been seeing Dr. Clark for quite some time and wouldn't go anywhere else. Who better to ask for a referral than a patient waiting to be seen. A few weeks later, It happened to be a Sunday and was working in my yard. I was doing the fall clean up thing, you know raking the leaves out of the flower beds, etc. I happened to turn the wrong way and a very loud "Ouch" came out of my mouth and the pain level was so extreme I couldn't hardly stand up anymore... later in the evening, I couldn't hardly walk! I called my regular doctor the following morning and they wouldn't be able to see me for at least 3 weeks even though I told them my pain was excruciating. I was accused of drug seeking behavior by the receptionist at my primary care physicians office... Nice, huh
So, I pulled the "just in case I need it" business card from my wallet and made a telephone call to Macomb Spine Care on a Monday and was seen the very next day. Dr. Clark rushed an MRI / x-rays for my case and my treatment started as soon as I returned to his clinic with the pictures of my spinal injury. That was all in the same day. He was very thorough in his explanation of his diagnosis of my back and what treatment plan would work best for my particular case. He recommended an aggressive therapy program (four days a week), the pain that I was enduring, anything was worth a try. Oh, I had two herniated discs, couple of bulging discs and I got a real quick education about piriformis syndrome, never heard of it before until I had spasms in my left leg..Dr. Clark did tell me that he can treat these spinal injuries without any kind of back surgery. He specializes in the "Cox Technique". He is the only doctor certified in Macomb County to do so.
His physiotherapist is great and she is very good at what she does. Always checked in on you to see how you were doing and also explained how the equipment worked when using it for the first time. She is a very compassionate person and always made sure that she takes the necessary steps to ensure that you are getting the required treatment as prescribed by Dr. Clark. She will never start a treatment without looking at the chart first. She is a valuable asset to Dr. Clark's organization.
After four months of treatment, he was true to his words and I'm living a pain free life again! Oh, I forgot to mention that I did his treatment program without any kind of opiates or any kind of pain management injections.
Dr. Clark and his team are committed to making sure that you are on the right path to recovery and ensuring that you are living the pain free life again, that is if you are willing to commit to his therapy program. Please take it from me.... It does work!!! read more
