The massage therapists were excellent in identifying trouble spots and working out those trouble spots, particularly in my shoulders and my girlfriend's neck and back.

She ran through a normal massage, nothing to write home about. As someone who gets massages on a regular basis, I know a great massage from an average. This was very average. At the end of the massage, the lady stayed in the room while I got dressed. It was very uncomfortable. Social cues? None there... She even directly asked me if I was going to tip (while I was still putting my clothes on). That was weird and poor customer service. She watched me pull out my wallet, and as I went through my bills, she had the nerve to complain that I only tipped her $10. She said "only $10, what about that $20?". Excuse me? Who are you talking to...? I should have never tipped her. The fact that she did not give me any privacy, and then had the audacity to ask for MORE money after delivering a sub-par massage... ridiculous. Did I forget to mention that it was even a full hour, too? I laid down at 5:30 and she stopped at 6:20... if I am paying $80 for an hour, I would like an hour. This is not rocket science, in fact, it's actually a relatively logical system to follow. I would not recommend going here. Unprofessional and not a great massage.

I booked with Shae for deep tissue therapy as another reviewer mentioned her effectiveness.. I highly recommend trying this place if you have stubborn knots, trigger points that need someone with experience to help you get them out. Shae was great to talk to and even the conversation helped me relax. Seriously, treat yourself to a visit here. Definitely will be back again soon. They simply use their knuckles their fists or their elbows depending how bad of a knot you have in that area where the pressure points lie. They go over your whole body as well. Not just the back. Do not be fooled by the little tiny Chinese women you will see working here. They will hurt you if you want it to be like that. Whatever pain I can push through, no pun intended, I grit my teeth and I let them hit the spot really deep. Yeah for the next 5 hours I'm sore but after that. But it's a good pain actually. I don't know why God made us that way cuz it seems counterintuitive if something's already hurting on your body to make it hurt even more in order to get it to heal but thank you China for figuring this kind of stuff out for us people in the rest of the western world . So yeah, you're a bit sore but your mood will be uplifted where you'll be feeling a natural high and you'll feel loose . It's a weird feeling but it's a really good one it's just hard to explain. I set up an appointment ahead of time and they were ready for me when I arrived. A quick restroom visit and I was ready for what lay ahead. Disrobe and get under the sheet. I was quick about it and it was game on. Now if you aren't familiar with Shiatsu, let me tell you - it isn't for the faint of heart. Unlike Swedish or relaxing massage, Shiatsu is more like deep tissue massage on steroids. At similar companies in the past, they use knees, elbows, forearms, and finally, feet to perform the massage. My session today did not include getting walked on, but everything else was utilized. The pressure can be intense at times, but the masseuse can always back off a bit if it gets to be too much. I suppose I need to request medium pressure next time. At various intervals along the way, stretching was employed. I am no spring chicken, and I don't bend as easily as I used to. Actually, I hardly bend much anymore, so the stretching was somewhat intense for me. Again, the masseuse can always back off a bit if need be. Most of my session was face down, as is typical. When it was time to flip over, in addition to massage, there was more stretching to take place. Arms, legs, torso, hands, feet, fingers and toes. They all got stretched. I didn't experience much facial and head massage, but my neck was worked over pretty well. Once the hour-and-a-half session was complete, I felt like a Gumby that had been worked over by a 4 year old! By the time I was dressed and ready to pay on the way out, everything felt fine. The intense massage didn't leave any pain for me to endure. If you think you could benefit from more than a deep tissue massage, this might be the place for you. $80 for an hour, $120 for 90 minutes.
