Gross, cold Cuban...Missing the fries

Guy Fieri would be heart broken to know the sort of rubbish I was served tonight.... This bus missed its stop in flavourtown and whet straight to flunkeduptown... I have ordered take out from here on several occasions and I am so disappointed because they have some really good flavors! Today my Cuban took over an hour and twenty minutes to arrive and as soon as I put the box on my lap I knew something was wrong as it felt as though it were just pulled out of the refrigerator.... The bread on the bottom felt as though it had been toasted at one point but the rest of it was soggy and cold to the touch, the cheese literally in the same shape as when they put it on the sandwich. It is also supposed to come with some very thin, very delicious fries that did not make it into the box what so ever. I'm also EXTREMELY displeased by the lack of being able to get in touch directly with the restaurant to address the issues. When calling the number provided on google, you are sent through a long automated service which feels as though it is directly discriminating against the clientele receiving deliveries. I was told to wait on hold by the customer service operator that was kind enough to refund my order and would be directly connected to the restaurant after a brief hold, but instead the line "dropped" and I was prompted to do their survey. All of the other one star reviews are warranted and I am very sad that I had recommended this place to several friends.... One last note: Cheese cake also has literally none of the toppings that are advertised and looks like something I could have gotten from Vons.

Hockey Puck Patty - The Chicken Guy Classic

The chicken sandwich was awful. The chicken patty was so over cooked, it was burt, hard as a rock. I will NEVER order food from here again. The Guy Fieri name will only get you so far, but the food has to be edible!

3 wing in a box. None in the bottom. I checks.

Sends me email address and asks me to email. I do and the email doesn't work. This are idiots trying to con people because he is a celebrity chef. What a joke. Don't fall for this guys crap. The food really sucked. Wings under cooked. Good thing I checked. Stop supporting this guy.

I thought I already reviewed the best burger in Pasadena!…read more On my first visit, a standard burger was $3.95. I forget what it is now-- $6??? As good as this burger is, it's still a deal. Super Burger is owned by a super-nice Korean family. There are various Korean dishes in their menu available but I only go there for the burgers. What makes their simple burgers so great? First off the burger patty-- the patties are formed in-house. The cooked patties have that irregular edge that can only come from being hand-formed; imperfect and delicious. These aren't the frozen discs delivered by a freezer truck. The ratio of the ingredients are ideal. -- The tomato is sliced to the perfect thickness -- The freshly-shredded lettuce doesn't manspread and take up too much of the burger's real estate -- The thousand island dressing marries the freshness of the veggie section to the animal part perfectly -- The burger patty's girth is appropriately balanced for the other ingredients. -- Their buns have that old-school yeast(?) flavor not available in stores. Their burgers are lovingly prepared and assembled with care. This is why whenever I go, there are always people there. Seating is strictly patio style, looking out onto the intersection of Altadena and Villa. There lot is small lot next to the stand. I'm not sure if it's shared with another business. Street parking is available. Even though super burger is basically a corner burger stand with patio seating, the place is always clean. Super Burger is definitely a sure thing. It is the finest example of what a basic, standard burger can be. Bun, burger patty, lettuce, tomato, and dressing doesn't get better than this.

The service is friendly and portions are good. Freshly prepared, thick burgers tasted good and the…read morelittle seating area outside is nice with kids. The value is just pretty good or else it would be a 5 star spot. It'll be a regular stop for me when I'm in the area.

Absolutely amazing. Stopped by randomly after seeing a show nearby…read more Food, atmosphere, and service (Drew) were all outstanding. Would literally make the trip from San Diego just to come here again. Well done.

Called the…read morerestaurant on the day of the reservation stating we were running 15 min behind and that our number has decreased by 2. Not an issue, got thanked for the update. It wasnt that busy at the time of our arrival. There were a lot of tables and the noise level was quiet. The host was nice and sat us not too long after we arrived. The table that we got sat at was extremely wobbly. My father-in-law noticed another table had napkins placed underneath to stabilize so he did the same to our table and it worked. Tara took our order and brought out the drinks. The food was 90% great! The 10% that fell short was a combination of things. 1) menu online and the physical menu said corn bread (which we were told no longer serves them). If its no longer available, update the menu because we were excited to try the corn bread. 2) a bbq place with no wet naps, that is really weird. However, they did bring me a stack of paper towels that were wet as if they were wet naps. 3) only 1 steak knife was provided in the platters. It was hard for a party of 6 to cut up meat with only 1 steak knife. 4) one of the sides came out cold, and hard. I bit into a macaroni and it felt raw because of how hard it was! I even dropped the macaroni on the plate and it rang! We brought it to the servers attention and we were able to get a fresh one free of charge. We loved the short ribs and the tomahawk steak! They were delicious. Baked potato as a side item was very large! During the whole time we were eating, no one came by to check on us, refills were not provided until after we were done eating. We never got one of the drinks that Tara wrote down and it showed up on the check. I was trying to get a staff members attention, and my hand was raised up, and there were hosts that saw my hand raised, but did nothing. There were other servers and runners that saw it too. Took a while for us to get any help. We eventually flagged down our server after what felt like 5 minutes. We brought the charge to our servers attention, and they corrected that too. Overall, the table service could have been a lot better, fix broken tables, and I suggest you bring your own wet naps or baby wipes because they dont supply any.

I have such fond childhood memories of going there with my parents and grandparents and receiving what seemed like foot-tall soft-serve cones. They also make the best malts, terrific burgers, and excellent deli sandwiches. The pastrami on rye and grilled cheese are dependable favorites--or you can splurge on a classic banana split. Add fries, with or without chili, and you have the perfect old-school meal. When I was growing up, they called what most people know as a chocolate-and-vanilla twist a "ripple." That is still what I order--and what I call it--wherever I am in the world, even when people look at me funny. Whenever I am in Pasadena visiting family and friends, a stop at Connal's for a ripple, shake, burger, and fries is practically mandatory. Some places serve food; others hold generations of memories. Connal's does both.

The salami was processed, not dry. It came with a major portion of yellow mustard (not requested), tons of finely chopped wet lettuce, no cheese. Horrible and soggy. I would have requested my money back, but it was a to-go order. The quality of the entire restaurant has gone, and it seems no one cares, as this has been going on for over a year. Inside the restaurant, the tables were empty and unclean. The wall decor sign for the restaurant, was broken and meant nothing as it was missing the store name. It was an icon restaurant, but now broken, and terribl.
