Our home had undersized gutters and we paid for it this past winter with the snow & ice here in NY. We initially had Gutter Guard out, who's estimate started at 2X where they landed before they left. We called Gutter Tech for a comparison, and are definitely grateful that we did. Adam properly sized the gutters for our home and quoted us 1/3 the price Gutter Guard gave us. GutterTech installed 6" industrial grade gutters for a residential dwelling and offered the service at a above average rate. The install time was reasonable, eight hours to be exact, and I even helped removed a rotted soffit to defer costs through sweat equity. Clean up of debris from the job could have been better. My only complaint is that the yankee gutters original to the house were not thoroughly inspected and cleaned, and now we have an issue with the drainage ability of that system and it is not properly working. The water collects in the middle of the system and drops five feet away from the foundation of the house. I asked Adam if the gutters were tested and he indicated that they were. Obviously, this was not the case and I am not certain if he just overlooked this matter or was completely dishonest. Regardless, if it wasn't for that MAJOR oversight, I'd give GutterTech a solid 4 stars but their mistake could and will potentially cost me more than the money I paid for the first job, which could have easily rectified any issues that I am experiencing now. I am hard pressed to recommend GutterTech again because I need more assurances that the job will be done correctly and ensure that a client's needs are satisfactorily met. Until I am proven otherwise, I will leave this review as is and let it be known that buyers beware. read more
