my gutter helmets had to be removed before my new roof could be installed. The roofers had a cancellaction so scheduled my project quickly. I called Gutter Helmet a little panicked. they sent an inspector the very next day. He came and arranged for the removal for the next work day and my new roof was installed immediately. Also the reinstall was scheduled for immediately after the roof was installed. I highly recommend them for the terrific service. the gutters were installed about 15 years ago and were the second home I had Gutters Helmets. Gutter Helmet installed a new Gutter Helmet system, to replace a 35 year old Gutter helmet system that was removed and reinstalled by roofers when they replaced the roof. The roofers did not install it right and the system didn't work as designed. Anyhow, Gutter Helmet installed a new system. The work was done (Ron & Nate) and they really did a great job- 100%. They had that "give a shit" attitude and really worked to make a great result. They were here on time and actually waited out a driving rain storm, and still finished in a day. it May seem overstated, but they did go above and beyond. I had some old gutters on my home (about 40 years old) with Gutter Helmet guards (about 20 years old) on them. The guards were fine, but the gutters (another brand) needed replaced. I called Gutter Guard and they came out , gave me a good estimate and performed the work in one day for me. Installation of new gutters and replaced the gutter guards. The process was very good, from the sales person to the installers' work. Neat , clean, prompt, polite and they did a good job. read more

I would never recommend this product to anyone. Asked for a copy of the warranty to go over the specifics and never received it. The helmet system does keep leaves out as they say. But watch out if it is a windy day, they blow right off. Everyone that has the Gutter helmets in my neighborhood gets ice dams and huge icicles hanging. Gutter helmets remedy is for you to buy more stuff like wire heaters that cost in my case $4,000 "extra" for 120 feet. When the product breaks they try to get you to turn it into your home owners policy. FUNNY HOW I WAS QUOTED A HIGHER FOR THE INSURANCE THAN IF I WAS TO PAY IT MYSELF. sounds like insurance fraud or price jacking. Personally I might just have this product removed from my house. Unreasonable and not as good as the company states. I think it would be better to just hire a cleaning man with insurance to clean the gutters every fall. read more

I am having serious problems with helmets its self and company. I call and leave messages, no one calls back. When initially I called gutter helmet to come and unblock my gutters, some one came and cleaned them. But didn't tell me that I was missing helmet from my porch, they just cleaned gutter and left. Now my gutter on my porch is blocked and causing damage, and gutter which is on patio ( Back yard ) has helmet , is still blocked and damaging patio. When I called, I was told that I don't have helmet on my porch because I didn't want it installed on porch. It doesn't make any sense to me. Now I am scheduled in august for some one to come and look at it. Mean while my patio and porch will continue getting damaged. I think its better not to have these helmets on gutter, at least I will not have to through this frustration and, when ever I need gutter cleaning, I can call some one to come and clean my gutters. My brother just bought a house and he was going to get these gutter helmet installed, I had to stop him. read more

I purchased Gutter Helmets about 2 years ago. I was thinking of adding Heat Helmets to my system. The salesman came and after inspecting the roof, he tells me that the warranty was voided because the person who washes my windows did not use a special kind of ladder and there were 2 small dents where the ladder had been placed. I had been told that this is what they do. They tell you that the helmets are guaranteed but then they always find some little reason to void the warranty. I am just warning future customers that I have found that to be true. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on so beware. read more

I am having similar problems with Gutter Helmet and their lack of quality customer service. In October, I paid for a Gutter Helmet re-installation after our new roof was installed. The woman--Maribeth-- said it would be 6 to 8 weeks before they could return to work on it. In December they said due to bad weather it probably wouldn't be done until January, but they would check their schedule and get back to me that day. No one called. I've left messages since then and still no call back. I just want a return phone call and an approximate date when they can schedule. Our weather here has not been a factor--in fact temperatures have been above normal with very little precipitation. For the past 15 years, Gutter Helmet has worked well. But now I wonder about this company and if I can even get a refund. read more

I called for a estimate for my home and John came out and explained the product, measured the gutters, and gave me a cost. He called today and ask if I had made a decision on buying the product. When I told him I had done additional research and decided not to buy, he told me he wished I had done the research before he came. My idea of looking at the actual product and getting all the information from the salesman available, then fact checking must be a new one. read more

After your offer was accepted, there has been no follow through. No compensation has been received, and no follow-up to ensure that it had occurred. I am extremely disappointed in the overall lack of communication. This experience is now giving me pause as to what my service would be like if we were to have any issues with the product. I had Gutter Helmet installed on my home a few years ago. The installation went well and I was happy. It worked well, keeping falling leaves out of my gutters. Winter came and that all changed. When snow on my roof started to melt, it slid down to the gutter and stopped, forming ice dams. During heavy snow, these dams would build up to several inches thick. The icicles that formed were so big, I was afraid they would pull the gutters right off of the house. When the icicles melted, they dripped on to my front steps and walkway turning it into a sheet of ice. I called and when the weather cleared, a crew was sent out to make an adjustment. It didn't work. I called again and never heard from them. What I got was calls trying to get me to buy new gutters. I have spent the last few winters considering getting them removed, and have finally decided to do just that. I'm done looking up and down my street at my neighbor's houses, free from snow and ice, while my house is covered with it. This product would be great if you lived in a climate where there is no snow and ice. A few years ago, I spent $1500 on this product for my small house. I think that it would be better to just hire someone every year to clean your gutters. read more
