Don't know why he bothered to come give us a quote. Kept postponing the job. Never showed up.

I highly recommend Adam Quenneville Roofing and Siding !!…read more They did siding and installed windows for my large home in Shelton, CT. They made my old home into a beautiful new home. The old shakes were removed and the new siding was installed with additional insulation. As a result, I found my heating bills were reduced by 30%. Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding also installed 15 new beautiful windows of high quality. The crew worked very quickly and efficiently even though it was summer and the temperatures were in the 90's. The cost was below that of several other companies that i had obtained quotes from. The work was completed in less than 3 days. They ordered the dumpsters and removed them ensuring that everything was clean before they left the job. I would hire Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding again in the future for any roofing, siding and window-replacement needs I might have. They are very professional and polite. Everyone in the neighborhood remarked on how beautful my "new" home is.

He wanted to go in the attic and I said it wasn't really big enough for him to go into it just like a crawlspace where he could see. Also there is def damage on the roof because he was my second estimate where they actually went on the roof. In addition to that, my home owners adjuster saw the damage as well. The technician got angry and stormed away saying well I should call him then. I did call the manager to let him know what happened and he apologized and offered to send someone else out but at that point I was just like no thanks. I definitely would not recommend this place.

The experience we had collaborating with Jeremy and the Sensible Home Products (SHP) team was…read moreoutstanding and one beyond anything we could have imagined. In fact, we have never had a better experience with any contractor or company, of any type, than what we had with SHP. Trust, transparency, and talent are three essential elements that drive a fantastic customer experience. Jeremy demonstrated a level of trust that gave us comfort that the needed improvements made to our 90-year-old home, were appropriate and that the house would be safe, secure, and visually pleasing for future generations. This trust emerged from the initial quote that described the specific steps SHP would follow, to leaving the work area, every day, as spotless as when the team showed up, to traveling to the Boston area for a door that was not available at a store in Connecticut, to creatively and thoughtfully solving the issues and challenges the house threw at SHP, to taking every requested addition to the project with a can do attitude. In a nutshell, the SHP focus was ensuring that the improvements to our house would stand the test of time, and that the work was completed with care and dedication as if we were part of Jeremy's family. Jeremy was transparent about the daily work. He sent us pictures of the progress made and of the structural issues that were uncovered. Although we would have wished wood rot, roof leakage, water damage and termite damage did not exist, they did. Because Jeremy provided the daily updates, he was able to share why the improvements were needed and important. He always answered my questions clearly and concisely. The SHP billing approach was clear so there were never any surprises. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably the project ended up costing. Observing Jeremy and the SHP teamwork was amazing. I have never seen such a talented, dedicated, caring, and creating team. They worked with amazing efficiency and effectiveness. I can attest, based on other projects we have taken on, this project would have taken much longer than the five short weeks (including Christmas and below freezing temperatures) this took. The quality of their work was remarkable and the pride in their workmanship was always evident. The extra touches he included in the project and the counsel he provided gave us 100% confidence that he would do what was right and that he, and SHP, would go above and beyond. The house is beautiful, and Jeremy and SHP will always hold a place in our hearts. They are an absolute gift, and they are now considered part of our family. I did not know Jeremy before this project, but I now count him as a friend. Going forward, we will call Jeremy and SHP first and we will know that he will care for us and for our house as if it was his own.

The previous owner, Dave, retired in 2019 and Dan now runs the company. It's been a while since I had an A1 need but alas, we broke part of a kitchen window last week and couldn't close it. I had my wife email A1 and they got right back to her. They confirmed how dang old our windows were, looked for a part to fix it and set up an appointment with us a few days later to take a look. Fortunately, Dan did have a part and was able to fix the window in a jiffy. It did cost us for a "service call" but it was worth the $160. Nice guy, too. I will continue to use this company in the future. They've replaced over 30 windows for me, installed some old school screens on my porch and have replaced my back door. Great service, give them a shot.

As the reviews of A-1 on Yelp are all older, I wanted to add something current. We used A-1 to…read morereplace over 100 windows, as well as a couple of doors, starting in 2021. Daniel acquired the business from the previous owner around that time after working there as the lead installer (so consider that when reading some of the older reviews) and every experience we've had with Daniel, Don, and the rest of their team has been exceptional. They do great work, have given excellent advice, and have treated our house and windows as if they were working on their own homes. Their prices are competitive--but I appreciate the value--explaining the difference in glass size between a replacement and new window, ensuring proper flashing/insulation, working with me to address any unforeseen issues once the old windows are out, and taking into account my desire to replace exterior trim, all of which impact a project -- vs. just "selling the window that's on the truck". Let's face it, it's a lot less fun to buy windows than a new car or a TV -- but the windows look great, I'm no longer constantly addressing dry rot on 25-year-old windows and trim, and the team at A-1 has really been a partner along the way. Could not be happier with our local installer (and local windows -- shout out to Mercury Excellum, as well)...and highly recommend A-1.
