How could one project go so well and the second project end in disappointment?…read moreThe first hardwood floor installation in June 2025 was professional, no dust and job clean up was thorough, it was flawless. It went so well I decided to do another room. Two different workers came this time, July 2025 & asked where my 220 plug was. The worker plugged his wires into my dryer machine plug. I questioned why there was no plug on his machine only wires coming out & he said "it's ok" when they began to sand my new smoke detectors were blaring & I come upstairs to one worker standing in my living room, far from the room they were working on with a mask on in a cloud of dust saying "sorry, something wrong with the machine" and my smoke detectors were put into a bathroom. As a professional they should have prevented the dust from circulating throughout my house and if the equipment was faulty it should not have been used. As soon as the dust was circulating throughout the house the equipment should've been turned off until a working replacement was available. Apparently the sander had no vacuum bag attached, in the high humidity the dust settled & adhered to everything inside the house. The fact that the smoke detectors were blaring was additional proof that the workers created a hazardous environment in my house and judging by the layer of dust on my fan blades I used to clear the air my new smoke detectors are probably compromised. Also the baseboard heater was left dangling from the wall & I had to fix the holes from them ripping it off the wall to reattach properly myself. Also worth noting, I have found 2 live cockroaches so far in the rooms that were done. I'm not sure if they were brought in with their equipment or what, but I have never seen previously in my home. I felt my concerns expressed to Brian were not taken seriously and the only apology I received for the second job nightmare was from 2 of his employees and none from the owner of the business. If this happened on the first job, they would never have been hired for the second Job. I have other projects I'm looking forward to do, but will look elsewhere. I would give the first job 4/5 stars, but zero for the second.

Jason and Sarah redid my fireplace last year which you can see on their website at JD Tile LLC…read more The hearth in particular was not an easy job but they worked out a great solution to level it all out and installed all the tile beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome so this year I had Jason come back to do a tile shower install and again he did not disappoint. Great communication, timely and incredible attention to detail. He was very attentive to what I was looking for in my design and executed it perfectly. I highly recommend him.

Here is the laundry list of services they performed: - Demoed the kitchen - Moved electrical and plumbing - Replaced light switches and outlets. - Installed new luxury vinyl flooring - Coordinated the addition and hook-up of gas to the kitchen for the oven. - Installed custom cabinets - Installed new appliances - Installed a hood range and created the vent to the outside. - Tiled the kitchen backsplash, which included accent pieces, and the half bath floor - Hooked up new sink and faucets - Updated the light fixtures - Replaced all the quarter round and added new base where needed. - Cut and hung 4 picture shelves so they met in the corner in the living room. - Hung floating shelves, mirror, towel rack, and toilet paper holder in half bathroom. - Installed shiplap in living room and half bathroom. - Applied restrictors to the new cabinet doors for me. They were flexible with me and allowed me to paint in between activities, they were fun to work with, and I think they were reasonably priced. I definitely recommend JD General Contracting and plan to use them in the future for the main bathroom renovation.

I am Familiar with rehabbing houses these people through a Home Depot contact. I find Home Depot…read morehas the most cases decent pricing for installation services and typically stand behind the sale. A very nice Sales fellow named Chuck come out to our house for a Sales pitch I felt extremely comfortable with his knowledge and not pushy person. He represented the company well. We had two different bathrooms to do which would be in different styles. The quality of the material is to be expected medium to lower grade, but they stand behind it with a lifetime warranty. Which is only good if the company stays in business. They did have an upgraded stone wall type vs PVC, which looked promising. The pricing was medium an expectation, 17,000.- 27,000. For one of today's solution that's not bad with the multi year warranty. I didn't ask if they pulled the permits for the town and such but should have. I'm contemplating moving forward with them for a very basic solution.

My Honest Experience with Total Bath . Please Read Before Hiring…read more Like many homeowners, I came to Yelp to read reviews and do my research before hiring Total Bath. The sales rep, Chuck, seemed trustworthy and even mentioned possibly knowing my late father, which made me feel comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Despite giving clear instructions not to touch my shower head unless upgrading it, they replaced it with a noticeably cheaper model without permission. The crew showed up unprepared, didn't know the full scope of the job, and seemed unaware that my vanity and mirror were part of the installation. I had to supply my own vanity, mirror, faucet, and lighting, yet the overall cost stayed high, which made little sense. The workmanship was unacceptable. The caulking cracked and separated within days, the water pressure dropped throughout my home, and the company refused to fix it. When I expressed my concerns, management was defensive and dismissive instead of professional or accountable. The manager, Justin, even ended our conversation abruptly when I asked for proper resolution. To make matters worse, they promote a "vacation package" through Destination Motivation that's only redeemable if you leave a 5-star review, a deceptive tactic that inflates their ratings and misleads future customers. After spending thousands of dollars, I'm left with subpar results, frustration, and a lack of trust in their integrity. A bathroom remodel should leave you relieved, not regretful. Total Bath overpromised, underdelivered, and failed to take responsibility. If you value your home and peace of mind, look elsewhere. Buyer beware. Update: After posting my review, the owner had the branch manager call me. I was told they would "return, reimburse the shower head, and provide the vacation voucher" only if I removed my review. I will not delete an honest review before problems are fixed. We set a date for them to come back, they didn't show up. Conditioning basic remediation or reimbursement on removing a review is not only unprofessional, it's manipulative. Pair that with a no-show and the original workmanship issues, and it's clear this company lacks accountability. I do not recommend Total Bath.
