The critical review is based on the fact that the plants are tiny - they often sell in plugs which are small, and which take more work to establish but also are cheaper than buying more mature, potted plants (although they also have some of these). This nursery is not a retail nursery - you can contact them, or visit them in the summer at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. They grow from seed and are incredibly knowledgeable about native plants, and they have varieties of things - notably sedges - that are hard to find elsewhere. If you want to install big blooms and a ready-to-go bed, this will not be the nursery for you. But if you are interested in cultivating native plants from a knowledgeable resource, you can do it affordably and beautifully with help from this nursery.

Nice flowering bushing and ornamental trees. Bought a phantom hydrangeas and a fire bush. Overall happy w my experience. Prices are very reasonable. Will def be back again. They also have homemade salsas and jams that looked tasty. The owner was very accommodating and showed us around the place and where everything was located. We had cut ours as well and laid them next to each other. While trying to get a tree wagon and/or our truck to get closer to load the trees someone came by and took the tree my father had cut. I am the guy that ran down the hill and tried to confront whoever STOLE, my Dad's tree. As we told the older man in Brown jacket what happened he responded with, " Don't come back." If you are a backyard fowl farmer, you can get all the feed, cedar shavings, and mealworms you could ever need. Dogs, cats, and horses have plenty to find here. In summer I get my grass seed, for which there is a huge selection. In winter, road salts good to different temperatures be found here. This is a fun place to visit, and includes farm toys, farm fresh eggs, and clothing that lasts forever!
