Dr. Glass' staff is rude and you should look elsewhere…read more I called to ask to add a blood food allergy test to my physical and was rudely told that Dr. Glass would not order the test for me because "she just doesn't do that"?! I cancelled my appointment 21 hours in advance and was again rudely told that I would be charged $150 because I missed their 24 hour cancellation period. I got the bill and discovered that I was also charged a $20 copay. I asked for a recommendation for a dermatologist and was given the name of a surly unhelpful dermatologist I had been to once 10 years ago. There was nothing about this experience that was positive.

Dr. Glass has…read morebeen one of the most attentive doctors I've ever seen and she's clearly a very intelligent individual. I love hearing her explain her thinking and the relationships between conditions, allergies, lifestyle, etc. I think the reason she's not for everyone is in how you look at medical care. If you want someone to simply treat one ailment and leave it at that or blindly send you for tests you think you need then I suggest you go to an urgent care clinic. Dr Glass is holistic in her approach and she treats the whole patient, always searching for root causes, preventative care and ways to make you feel better, overall. She has referred me to specialists but also told me if they were out of network or I found someone I preferred that was fine too. I don't believe she did it for the referral bonus at all, in fact, many times she has suggested I try natural and over the counter treatments before going to a specialist.

Honestly, she is probably super knowledgeable, I believe she has 21+ years experience, however I…read moreagree with one of the previous reviews below- to be an internist or PCP- you really have to be extra compassionate and a whole lotta patient. Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.

After my doc left, I was referred to her, but her bedside manner left many things to be desired. In both my visits she dismissed a few of my medical issues and made out of the box suggestions which were fringe even for a DO. Her misunderstanding of modern western medicine and choice to believe studies not accepted in mainstream medicine, are both concerning and upsetting. When I discussed a suggestion she made to me with another physician, they were shocked, and confirmed that I was in fact right. If you want a hippy-dippy, not qualified DO, she's the one for you, otherwise run far, far from her.

I went to Dr. Attoe for a checkup plus a consultancy on a series of symptoms including chronic fatigue and irregular period. She seemed such a decent well prepared lady and I would have never expected to experience what I am about to write. For the fatigue part, I thought I was simply suffering from iron deficiency (which I had in the past). Dr. Attoe suggested to get that checked, together with the thyroid and the other routine check-ups. After around 10 days, motivated by worsened symptoms, I call in to ask if there were any news. So Dr. Attoe calls me back saying that actually my analysis (including cholesterol, thyroid, and all the rest) were all good and within the norms. So, when I asked her then what was her suggestion to lessen my symptoms, she suggested that life in NY is stressful and that many patients complaint about fatigue (I think she said roughly 20%). She also added to go more out to the park and enjoy the day. I was somewhat confused because I have lived in NY for 7 years, I am used to a hardworking life (full of stresses) yet never had I felt that way. As a daughter of an MD I tend to trust doctors and their expertise though I knew something wasn't write with her suggestion. And sure enough, around one week later I receive the print out of my analysis and turns out that my analysis are NOT ok. My ranges for ALT (which are produced by the liver) are higher than the norm and so are two other values, including cholesterol levels. I think that what might have happened is that Dr. Attoe read someone's else analysis over the phone. If this weren't enough I called in twice to ask to kindly speak to the doctor and never got called back (although I explained what the issue was). Another doctor that I consulted suggested to investigate further the liver as that could explain my strong fatigue. To sum, I would suggest Dr. Attoe that perhaps she should go less to the park and concentrate more on her patients!
