This restaurant was clean, bright and inviting. The service was excellent. Our server was caring and checked on us often. I have food allergies and they were very, very accommodating to my food allergies. I ordered three Carne Asada tacos. My husband ordered three chicken tacos. They were regular sized corn tortillas, not street sized. There was ample meat in each taco. However, my tacos were cold. Not room temperature, but cold. The Carne Asada was dry and so was the chicken. There was very little flavor in the tacos. The salsa was mediocre as well.

Walked-in immediately greeted with a housewarming vibe, the food was delicious the menudo I had took my mind back to my " rancho" in Mexico. I highly recommend this place next time. I'll be sure to order the ceviche sampler with three different types of ceviche.

Great service, authentic and food! The horchata tastes homemade and the carne en su jugo is a specialty not many places know how to make.

    Inside of restaurant

Ambiance is nice, went for Mother's Day and they took almost 20 minutes for them to bring us the menu when people after us got their menu instantly. (It wasn't crowded when we first got there) they didn't refill our waters until I asked and server didn't come back to take our orders for over 25 minutes after bringing us chips and salsa. Unfortunately I felt like they were more catering to bigger groups and forgetting groups that are 4 and under. Food was okay I ordered some seafood and it was good. My partner ordered quesabirrias and it was the flattest quesabirrias I ever seen almost no meat he was very disappointed.

Newly opened and it was obvious they are working out the bugs of opening a family owned restaurant. All staff were friendly and attentive. They seem to be under staffed but even the owner was out busing tables and helping customers. I enjoyed the food and the ambience of the restaurant. I will be back again to see how they've adjusted to the demands of their customer base.

    Carne en su jugo

As someone who was born and raised in Guadalajara, this is the only place where I can actually taste what a "torta ahogada" and "carne en su jugo" should taste like We have also tried: -Queso fundido con chorizo -Tostada de ceviche -Tacos de carnitas -Café de olla And everything is bomb! Thank you guys!

    Camarones a la Cucaracha

This place has the looks of a great food spot but the actual food doesnt live up to that expectation. We went in 1/30/26 at 5pm, we ordered the carne en su jugo and the camarones a la cucharacha as well as a michelada. The carne en su jugo was decently flavored but the beans to meat ratio was off. Barely enough beans. The camarones a la cucaracha were a bad experience, the cook is supposed to be crispy and marinade is supposed to be spicy, neither of which were true. Also serving the shrimp with the head on and not deveined would have been nice to know before hand. The michelada was heavy on the juice and not so much the beer, not my preference but a decent michelada. The waitress only came to our table three times, to take our order, to drop off the food and to charge us. Also when she dropped off the food she didnt give us utensils, so i had to ask for them, its not a big deal, but when things start turning to a bad experience those small details start to matter a bit more. In the end the waitress apologized for not checking up on us throughout our stay, she said the other waitress had gone on break and she was swamped with all the tables. I mentioned to her the camarones were not very good and the marinade was sweet almost like a terayaki flavor when it was supposed to be spicy and lemony. She agreed and told me the cook that usually makes it had gone on break as well so the back up cook that was working didnt make them properly. I left that place disappointed I had just spent $65 for minimal customer service and sub-par food. This place may be worth another try in the future, maybe their mariscos are the thing to get, maybe we just went in at the wrong time, maybe their still ironing out the details. Hopefully next time we try it, everybody is not on break.

I had the Camarones Cucarachas which were delicious. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was family oriented and great.

My husband reminded him that he asked when ordering and I again referenced the menu saying 1 basket is included,he said the policy changed and there was a sign on the wall somewhere. My husband had asked for his chimi to have red sauce and I had asked for mine with green, they both came mixed with both sauces on them. The red sauce wasn't very good and it was weird being mixed. My chimi wasn't very well cooked, kinda doughy in the middle. We didn't get a receipt so we couldn't reference the amount we were charged for each thing, but by menu prices it should have come out to about $55. The amount they charge was $80. $80 for 2 chimichangas,a beer and a ranch water and No chips??

Walking in, I was immediately greeted with smiling and welcoming vibes from the ladies at the front and told to take a seat wherever I'd like to sit. The hit for me is that MENUDO is available on a non-weekend! I've been craving it and when I ordered it (on a Tuesday), I hoped it would be fresh and it was! The broth was savory and flavorful as is but with the added oregano, dried peppers, onions, and cilantro to my liking- it just made it even better! The best part was that you can either order it with pata or no pata. Shoooot, you don't have to ask me twice! I said I want the pata hahahaha that with tender and not overcooked tripe was just what I was wanting! If you love menudo, this is a place I'd recommend and go to get it regularly. The MICHELADA MARISCADA is tasty! It's a mixture of seafood in a sweet and tangy sauce. For those who do not like spice, this is a great option. I was with someone who doesn't like spicy food and isn't a big fan of Mexican food but MAN! she killed the entire plate! So now we have a place that we both can really enjoy together. Will be back!!

The chicken quesadilla really set it off for me as well. It was flavorful, nice portion size and I enjoyed the dip that came with it also. The Lows: The food was kinda expensive. It was about $60 for a to go order of 6 tacos and a quesadilla and a drink. While the food was good, not sure if the price was worth it considering all of the other Mexican food options nearby. Also, the tacos didn't come with any sides (rice, beans, etc.) which was unfortunate for the price. The In-Between: We found this place on Instagram based on a video review someone did. The parking was a little tough. The service was cool for our to go order.

Unfortunately, the food is where things fell apart. When I walked in, I asked if they had a super burrito since I didn't see it on the menu. The gentleman taking my order said they did, so I ordered a carne asada super burrito. A regular burrito on the menu was listed at $8.99, but my super burrito came out to a little over $16 after tax. I also noticed Yelp lists the super burrito at $10.99, so maybe the prices have changed, but that's still a pretty big jump from the regular burrito. The burrito itself was huge, but after the first few bites, I was honestly disappointed. The carne asada was unusually stringy and fatty, which isn't something I've ever experienced with carne asada burritos before. I kept eating, expecting to get to the guacamole, sour cream, and salsa, but by the halfway point I decided to cut the burrito open. It turned out almost all of those ingredients were packed into the very bottom instead of being distributed throughout. The guacamole also had a sour taste that didn't seem right. I also noticed the burrito I received looked nothing like the photos posted here on Yelp, so I'm not sure if the recipe has changed since those pictures were taken. As someone who loves burritos and rarely passes one up, this was, unfortunately, one to forget. The free fountain drink and chips were a nice bonus, but they couldn't make up for the burrito itself. I genuinely wish this restaurant the best because the staff were excellent, but the food just didn't live up to my expectations.

We were able to sit down right away in the bar area so that was nice. Our waiter came over pretty quick to see if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered some waters, a Paloma, and a beer. He came back shortly with chips and salsa and waters. We took a few minutes before we ordered and for our order we ordered the Birria tacos that came with beans and rice and the enchilada and Tamale with beans and rice. The chips were fresh and the salsa was really delicious. It was just enough spice in it and the flavor was great. Our entrees came out shortly which was pretty fast. The Birria tacos were fresh and hot, the flavor was great, and the dipping sauce completed the tacos. The Tamale and Enchilada was also delicious. The Chicken inside the enchilada was tender and tasty, the tamale was also fresh, tender, and cooked perfect. The highlight of the meal even with everything tasting great already were the beans. The beans had so much flavor to them, and cooked perfect. I don't know what they put in the beans or how they make them but, they are the best refried beans I've ever had. Our waiter was really good, I didn't get his name but kudos to him as well. The place is really big inside and has outside seating, with a bar area as well. I asked to add jalapeños- they said that would cost an extra $2. That is crazy. I know food prices are rising but jalapeños are still inexpensive - I've eaten at hundreds of Mexican places - not one ( except Taco Hell - Bell- ) has charged me for jalapeños. So after taking my order he told me to come back in 15 minutes - like standing there and waiting was going to cost them money - how rude. Another bad 1st - being told I can't stay and wait for my order at a place I ordered from - WTF? Also the prices are too high - I can get burritos in San Francisco for $12 and they're great - as I did yesterday at a street fare - I thought $7.95 was too cheep for a burrito - but $18 in a small town? The burrito better be best tasting ever - writing this while I sit in my car. When I walked in the restaurant it was quiet - Saturday at 8:20 pm in the summer - was dead and it still takes them 15 to twenty minutes to make a burrito? That is crazy. So the ambience did not impress me that's for sure. What could improve? How about treating your customers who come into a place for the first time nice and not ask them to come back? How about not charging for jalapeños when every. other Real ( Taco Bell in NOT Mexican food) Mexican restaurant does not charge for them??? Update - the young man who took my order seemed like he did NOT want to be there - and was not attentive. When I picked up my order there were two women who were friendly and nice to me - so I added a star. The burrito itself - the beef had a excellent taste and the refried beans were good ( yes - I have had bad refried beans before ) so the burrito tasted good but on the bland side as no salsa was inside the burrito. Etc when the first guy took my order and told me jalapeños were an extra $2 I said no to the extra but did request extra salsa - all I got was a small - very small container - I like my Mexican food spicy - and this was not - tho had the potential to be great with some heat - spice - the salsa/ more of a sauce than salsa - had an excellent flavor but no the mild side for me but if had a lot of it - it would have worked as it did have a good to excellent flavor - so it gets only two stars - had excellent potential to be great - but initial bad service from the male staff and charging for jalapeños and very little salsa killed it - can not recommend
