Ravioli when it was cold
Doris K.

Very lovely and wonderful people. I felt at home, loved, and happy to be here. We sat outside a delightful experience. Lots of tables with smiling faces. We ordered an app, zucchini fondue. We licked the plate clean. Spaghetti, meatballs, potatoes, spinach, and ravioli was what we ordered. Before our reservation, we shopped in the plaza. We did come here on Sunday.. Reservation is 100% needed. Don't be shy to call on the phone they spoke English. While we were waiting in line, we were handed a glass of Prosecco. We did get a bottle of Chiante with dinner. Unfortunately, not recommended. Our dinner came out cold, it was corrected but this isn't the best meal we have had. The sauce wasn't good. I'm telling you there's better here: my mom's ravioli sauce & my spaghetti sauce was the exact same. It just wasn't good. Pass on this place. Come for drinks during the day.

We have eaten here three times (so far) on our trip to Florence. We love this restaurant. It is charming inside and out. The food is amazing, the staff is great and the location in the piazza in Santo Spirito is wonderful. Feels like a different world than across the bridge! Can't wait to go back!

Simple. Delicious. Wait staff very friendly. Been back 2 times this week. What's better than sitting outside eating Italian meats & cheese with wine? Life doesn't get better.

Ribeye gravy, aperol spritz

They were busy but took our group of 4 right in. I tried the Limoncello Spritz and the April Spritz. I love Limoncello but found the spritz to be bitter, the Aperol Spritz was good though. I ordered the ribeye with pepper gravy and it was very good. My husband got the meatballs and he enjoyed them (I tried them and they weren't my fave). Overall we had a good experience, the square where the restaurant sits is such a cute spot so definitely check it out.

Great food, received it relatively fast. Service was great for a busy night and lots of customers! Great to see staff enjoying the night with their patrons! Great experience for our first night in Florence!

Lasagna not Bolognese IMHO.

I am an Italian food snob. I think this chain is using dried pasta base and our lasagna bolognese was average American dish at best, which is not commonly said in Italy, unless foreign owned.

Fabulous. Molto bene! Delicious food. Chianti Wine. Ordered two bottles for our group. Bellisimo. Fabulous plaza for the kids to play in. While we dined for 2 hours.

Gustapanino is an awesome restaurant with great food, service, and atmosphere. The outside seating in the town square made it all that more memorable. Thanks to Pasquale and the entire team for making us feel at home. Look forward to visiting again in June!! Grazie per la serata incredibile!

From the 17th and 18th century, this good luck horn hangs at the entry to gustapanino creating a happy vibe.

Gustapanino: My most frequented restaurant in florence is a place of permanent happiness, delicious food, impeccable service and really fun music. The owner pasquale is always there and generously offers a limoncello or a little prosecco to his clients. In front of one of the most beautiful churches of italy, basilica santo spirito, it's a most unique trattoria that you should not miss during your stay here. Pasquale's contagious energy and his wonderful staff make sure every day for lunch and dinner that you leave happier than when you arrived.

The best place to go for dinner in Florence, hands down. For my long stay in Florence, my friends and I repeatedly came back here. There's so many great things on the menu, you cannot go wrong. I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone and would to anything to have another meal here.

The owner personally served us and we had some of the best food we have had in Italy so far. Try the bruschetta - amazing

Tortellini dish

THIS. This restaurant is the one my group could not stop talking about. We had made jokes throughout our trip that some restaurants were good, but did not make us "transcend". This restaurant was transcendant! The absolute fan favorite was definitely the eggplant appetizer. We have never tasted eggplant in that way. The member in our group had to fight us off from "tasting" more bites of his dish. It was that good- definitely recommend that if stopping by. Additionally, the tortellini was delicious! Genuinely a 10/10, the highlight restaurant of our trip. The restaurant itself is also quite cozy and cute. It's very aesthetically pleasing. When we walked out we also had the pleasure to thank the chef. Bravissimo!

The owner and my grandma, Carla. He kept called her his girlfriend and it made her whole trip so much more special.

Tourist trap. Disgusting. awful food. Don't fall for it. They give customers bribes (limoncello) to leave a review.

Wow, what a special place…read more Set inside a 14th-century tower near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Florence, and I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed warmly by the staff (he literally said "ah yes I remember you" ) and guided to our cozy little table in the corner. Were ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico to start, as well as a few pastas plus the steak and cod. I can safely say the spaghetti pomodoro with burrata was the best pasta dish I've had in Italy - the pasta was perfectly cooked and the cherry tomatoes was so sweet, the kind of thing that reminds you why you came to Italy in the first place. Overall: great service, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. Just be sure to make a reservation!!

We spent three days in Florence and ate here twice, and cut our tour of the Acedemia out of our schedule to make sure we could make it for lunch before heading on to Rome, that's how awesome the food was! The people running the restaurant are so amazing, they truly treat you like family while you are there. They were always attentive, but never lingering. Unlike restaurants in the US where you are expected to eat and leave as soon as possible, in Italy food is mean to be enjoyed over conversation and camaraderie, which means unless you wave someone over or your glasses are empty you are left to enjoy yourselves. Osteria Santo Spirito is no exception to this rule. You'll be warmly greeted and well cared for but never hovered over. You will absolutely want to make a reservation, a wait for a table inside can take a bit to get if you just plan to stroll in off the street, but the seating outside is just as beautiful and a bit more plentiful. If you visit Florence and are looking for a place that doesn't take advantage of the tourists, and serves up amazing food, this is your spot for

Both the indoor and outdoor tables are lovely (we tried both after our wives were too cold in the wind), and this was the best service we encountered during a week in Florence. Not only were the staff accommodating and brought us everything we needed, but they also steered us toward so many things we weren't going to get, with insistence and good humor. And they were right. The Albanian sommelier and my wine-obsessed buddy fell in love, talked for ages, and we ordered three very nice bottles (classic) as a result (after our spritzes). We had a steak dinner planned for later, but we still ordered the exceptional Florentine beef, just because we couldn't leave without trying it. They blew my mind with the savory mushroom flan, and the fiochetti di pera (perfect purses of pear pasta in a silky cream sauce) were one of the best bites of the trip, and my life. We honestly weren't expecting much, but it turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip.
