This is a converted house with all the charm of the best of the "dive bar" gestalt. It was Christmastime, so the whole place looked like the inside of a Christmas package. It was just a fun place to be where people are loud, friendly, and fun. sYou can tell it all stems from the ownership. Granted all I had was beer, but they had some good beers on tap, and a huge variety of bottled beers behind the bar. This is a place packed with atmosphere. It's a must visit if you live within 50 miles...serioiusly! As you know, a bar isn't something you design. It's a feel and atmosphere you create from management and bartenders. These are the important players in sustaining a fun atmosphere. It is they who bring in the crowd they want. These folks put on no airs and lots of fun. Generally speaking there are not the typical Lakewood college kids or loud drunks. Bartenders are friendly and conversational.
