The range is well equipped, clean, and is run by adults, not college kids trying to prove something, (like the other gun range nearby.) It is the only range I will go to in College Station.
My only hang up here is that I have showed up a few times with all of my gear after a week of planning, meticulous reloading, and praying for low wind and no rain, only to find the gate is closed and locked when the range is supposed to be open.
If you are a precision shooter, your week revolves around preparing for your next trip to the range. Meticulous note taking, measuring, reloading for an entire week... making sure each and every round is as perfect as possible...minimal runout, brass annealed, necks turned, cases trimmed and sorted, cleaned, weighed and grouped.
It sucks having to drive to Conroe to shoot, especially when the range right here in my backyard is supposed to be open, but isn't.
At the very minimum, update the hours on the website or voicemail so people who plan for a week to come give their money to you won't be so let down.
I wish I didn't have to depend on other people in order to do my hobby.
