There is a paved walking trail that runs throughout the park. One of the fields has lighting for night games as well as bleachers. On one side of the park is a youth center and on the opposite side is a large play scape and pond. Plenty of benches and picnic tables along the trail including some grills. You'll find other amenities such as public bathrooms, a covered basketball court, volleyball court and a large covered picnic table area. Definitely a great asset for the Giddings community as the 10 photos attest.

This dog park is not your typical family-friendly dog park for families and their dogs to play. I have seen so many dangerous situations and have left a message for the manager/owner with no return call. We will never go back! I've seen two separate people on two separate occasions leave crying and running away with their dogs due to the horrible people. The people are very unfriendly and hate children and families. Only older, retired people go to this park and several have unfriendly, aggressive dogs and have to take them to the smaller dog park when friendly dogs arrive. It's a shame this dog park is so poorly managed, unfriendly and dangerous - our community could use a nice dog park that is family-friendly and safe. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOG PARK! There are amazing dog parks for ALL close by. It's not worth the risk to take your friendly dog/family to this place. And, if something happens, they will not care.

I would trust Morgan with any animal but to watch her around horses, especially Moon, is truly something special. One of the most upsetting parts of my experience was that I felt I was treated as though I had been dishonest. I also felt I was unfairly accused of making negative comments about campers. To the best of my knowledge, I never made the kinds of comments I was accused of, and I was never given a meaningful opportunity to explain my side. I was especially discouraged when my volunteer service hours were taken away after everything I had contributed. Instead of feeling appreciated for volunteering my time, I left feeling dismissed and unsupported. I believe volunteers deserve to be treated with respect, listened to fairly, and given the benefit of a genuine conversation before serious conclusions are reached. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

There are better environments for your high schoolers to volunteer.

The living history farm is known for many live demos but due to Covid - they have had to adapt and now you hear about it instead of experience it. I have to commend the passion of the people who maintain this place, dress up each day, and keep their knowledge fresh. We went on a "Parlor Games" themed day and the lovely lady was so informative, patient and sweet. This is one of the coolest "walking through history" experiences we have done. You also get to see all the heirloom animals (that looks so different from what we are now used to) and the kitchen/ smokehouse/ tool shed.

This is the first Living Farm experience I've been on. This part of the State Park is included in…read morethe complete pass. This location has a house, several animal pens, some gardens, cattle, pigs and birds. You can talk to a few folks who work the farm. They also have a smoke house where they make their own meats and pick potatoes. You can't pet the animals but the cows are really friendly. This place is nice for photographs. There's parking near the entrance so you can drive to it instead of walking the distance. Laid back and fun to explore. This one is great for kids.
