My family enjoy the thrill of the slides, but that is all! If it wasn't for us living so close, our season passes and coming in at least twice per season then we are getting our monies worth but if I lived further I wouldn't make the drive. The food is mediocre, nothing special of their burgers, pizza, and chicken strips so opt out of the meal deal for the entire season and just visit the nearest restaurants right outside the park. The park is pretty spacious and we reside at one of the quieter areas as the kids roam around sine there is plenty of seating. Some slides need upgrades and perhaps have a better system of entrances and exits since small children can't read and a thin rope won't do much to stop anyone from entering/exiting. We are still going to come here every season until we see the park fall apart completely. It is fun to come for a couple hours and then head on home after a hot summer day.

Very unclear chaperone policy and very rude security folks, obviously on a power trip. Apparently…read morethey have an "enhanced security" policy in effect. Our grandson, who is 15, already driving on a permitted basis and very responsible went there on MAy16. His money was taken and two hours into his day he was approached and kicked out of the park. He had no issues gaining entry where they should have explained the policy and kept him out. He wasn't creating any type of issue and had to leave with no refund. My daughter (his mom) went to get him was intimidated and surrounded by five security personnel who refused to listen to her, or adequately explain the policy. They claimed there are "signs everywhere" but wouldn't show her where they are. Unreasonable people all around.

Big Rivers is great about offering reasonable pricing for families and they sponsor many nights where they spotlight groups, offering deep discounts. Parking was free. Finding a good parking spot was easy. If you got a special event, bring your walking shoes because there is a lot to see and do. Lots of activities including a petting zoo, carnival rides, axe throwing, inflatables, and more. We like that they have none of the carnival midway games that take your money for a modest prize. They offer lots of food options ranging from carnival fare like funnel cakes to regular food. Prices are what you would expect. The staff is pretty friendly, lots of young people but enough of the older folks to keep things running smoothly. Overall, it's a relatively inexpensive way to celebrate the holidays, giving you lots to do, see, and enjoy without breaking the bank.

Went here with family while visiting Belton for a few days. I haven't been to water park in ages!…read moreSo it was a nice way to cool off in the Texas heat for the afternoon. It's a basic waterpark. - 2 big slides. One of which being a tube slide. - an area for little kids and toddlers. - lazy river. - swing thing. - cabanas and reserved tables. - snack stand - general store - bathrooms. There really isn't an area where you go and get tubes from a pile. You just kinda have to scope out the lazy river and find a tube that's abandoned. The big slides are CRAZY fast! I am telling you to watch out for the tube slide that's multicolored! The speed I was going was nuts, combined with the fact it had me going backwards unintentionally was kinda scary. I got a bruise trying to position myself so I could drop out into the pool without seriously flipping over or injuring myself. The bruise is still visible 2 days later. I didn't wanna ride that slide anymore. Didn't trust it. All in all, it's a nice little park where you can beat the heat. If you don't mind crowds or tons of people in a lazy river. It's not horrible but it's not awe inspiring either lol.

The pools look like they have not been cleaned in weeks. 3. If slides are shutdown, let the kids know this before they grab a tube and begin their ascend to the top only to be told "Sorry." Put someone at the bottom, it's common sense.
