What I like about it: 1- The range officer is always present and never leaves anyone on the shooting line alone. Safety is the highest priority and it shows. The range has up to date technology and is clean and well maintained. 2- The staff in the retail area are very knowledgable. They won't tell you what to buy but if you describe the characteristics of what you're looking for, they can help you narrow down some options. They encourage you to hold and handle as many as you'd like and I e never felt rushed. 3- There's a pretty large selections of firearms available for rent. The ability to try a firearm out really helps when making a costly investment. You can also rent the safety equipment and purchase range ammunition and targets. 4- The price for both daily range use and/or membership is reasonable. They have a nice discount for military members. If you go for a membership you can bring two guests for free per year. My personal wish list: 1- One-on-one training/classes with instructors for those who would like to work on skills beyond the basic firearm safety/concealed carry class that is offered. Other topics (like marksmanship, home defense, etc) would be great too. 2- Would love to see a female behind the retail desk and/or on the range. (Sorry if they have one and I just haven't spotted her yet!) The gentlemen are great, but sometimes a lady just wants another female perspective when talking about firearms as they pertain to women. 3- That's pretty much it. I walked in and it felt very much like the old hardware shop that I grew up going to in NC. I walked in and asked the guy if they had a certain ammo, he walked me right to it which was great then I asked if they carried pry bars and he showed me their location. I grabbed what I needed, bought both things, and was out in probably under 5 minutes. Pretty good prices for a small business and the man at the front was really nice. There's lots of paper target configurations to choose from. There's cleaning supplies, ammo holders, boxes of ammunition, and even water bottles for sale. You can't bring any liquids in the range for safety reasons, preventing slip and falls. Don't forget to empty your firearms before you come in because you will be added to the bucket of shame. Safety FIRST! The range is nice for an indoor environment. Lots of fans to help ventilation of gun smoke. You will need to be aware some gun residue will be in your nose later! There's a fair amount of lanes and there are some busier times than others. They do offer training, memberships, and backgrounds checks for purchasing firearms. The staff is very cool, calm, and professional. I like that there's a good decorum and respect in the atmosphere. I have not experienced any braggadocio or false bravado nor Beavis and Butt-Head. Respect to the team here! Good range time, hearing and eye protection available, and quality products. We were able to shoot both rifle and pistol. Ample parking, inside the building was spacious and well set up for a lunch buffet. The restrooms were clean and convenient and having the store onsite provides ability to purchase ammo and other needs for your shooting comfort. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and before the competition started with a safety briefing and explanation of the rules. I was particularly impressed with the golf-course style course where we were provided a golf cart to navigate the north and south courses to accommodate our very large gathering! Our groups first station had a malfunction in the throwing machine and they very promptly had staff out to attempt to fix it. I did not get to try out the trap range as it wasn't a part of our experience but overall I'm really impressed with the facilities and staff. I'm looking forward to coming back in the future!

Funny, another gunsmith did find the part and did fix it. I get the impression that he didn't want to be bothered. I decided a couple of years later to give him another chance and went by there on a Tuesday about mid-day. Shop was closed and no note (out to lunch etc.) was on the door so I called to see if there was a message on the phone (on vacation, etc.). No message was on his phone, not even a greeting with hours, the phone just rang and rang. Strike two and there won't be a third one. This guy doesn't care.
