It was fun to come into a highly reputable firearms outfit and learn about what I had missed for a large number of years. Pretty much everyone knows the big names, like Glock, S&W, Sig Sauer, Colt, etc. But there are a ton of new kids on the block that really catch the eye and look very tempting to want to own. Well, for a day, I wanted to look at something new and see how this world of firearms appears today. I have to say, Gun Gallery appears to have everything right and what you need if you desire to purchase arms and a place for target practice. As a store visitor, I was highly grateful for the time the GG Rep took to assist me with my questions and allowing me to hold a few pieces. This was much appreciated and certainly inclined me to desire to visit the store again in the future if I wish to purchase a firearm here. In the meantime, I can say they have a large array of pistols to choose from. I had to revert to my love of 007 movies and see they had a Walther PPK (what James Bond made famous). Oh my! They did! It felt good to hold for one a moment of time in my life! On another note: there are rifles here as well, along with AR-15s. Most of the rifles are in a different area near the target practice area. This is an impressive full service gun shop. They assist you with registration during your purchases and offer both personal and classroom training that enthusiasts can choose from. It also has a training class that will lead to a permit to carry as well. They do offer weapons for testing to help customers choose the best pistols or rifles for themselves. It would be difficult to hear of anyone leaving here unhappy. The Gun Gallery crew is really all about their customers and offering their best efforts toward them. Recommend: VERY HIGH

OTS is serviceable, but there are better experiences to be had at other ranges…read more The range itself, * The target system is very nice and modern, as is the ventilation. * Being able to staple targets is a plus. * The sound concussion is wild, .223/5.56 sounds as loud as .308s I've stood next to at other indoor ranges. Of all the places I've shot, I absolutely have to double up on hearing protection here. They really should invest in putting up sound deadening foam on the walls. As for the staff, * Some are friendly and genuinely good people, then a few are straight up standoffish. * Atmosphere in general can be somewhat unwelcoming. * The RSO's are inconsistent, one guy was perfectly fine with me practicing emergency reloads then the next time I came I was told I'm not allowed too by someone else. * You need to be a paying member just to qualify for practicing draws from concealment. I understand walking someone through safe drawing practices before giving the green light. However, other ranges will allow you to do this and work with you on safe technique, free of charge. * Way too excessive on ammunition check, once I brought in factory new sealed boxes of Fiocchi 5.56 55gr m193 ball and 9mm 115gr fmj they opened and ran a magnet through all of them. Final thoughts, This happens to be the closest indoor range to me, but I'd rather drive farther at the cost of my convenience in exchange for a better experience.

There's lots of paper target configurations to choose from. There's cleaning supplies, ammo holders, boxes of ammunition, and even water bottles for sale. You can't bring any liquids in the range for safety reasons, preventing slip and falls. Don't forget to empty your firearms before you come in because you will be added to the bucket of shame. Safety FIRST! The range is nice for an indoor environment. Lots of fans to help ventilation of gun smoke. You will need to be aware some gun residue will be in your nose later! There's a fair amount of lanes and there are some busier times than others. They do offer training, memberships, and backgrounds checks for purchasing firearms. The staff is very cool, calm, and professional. I like that there's a good decorum and respect in the atmosphere. I have not experienced any braggadocio or false bravado nor Beavis and Butt-Head. Respect to the team here! Good range time, hearing and eye protection available, and quality products. We were able to shoot both rifle and pistol. Ample parking, inside the building was spacious and well set up for a lunch buffet. The restrooms were clean and convenient and having the store onsite provides ability to purchase ammo and other needs for your shooting comfort. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and before the competition started with a safety briefing and explanation of the rules. I was particularly impressed with the golf-course style course where we were provided a golf cart to navigate the north and south courses to accommodate our very large gathering! Our groups first station had a malfunction in the throwing machine and they very promptly had staff out to attempt to fix it. I did not get to try out the trap range as it wasn't a part of our experience but overall I'm really impressed with the facilities and staff. I'm looking forward to coming back in the future!

Funny, another gunsmith did find the part and did fix it. I get the impression that he didn't want to be bothered. I decided a couple of years later to give him another chance and went by there on a Tuesday about mid-day. Shop was closed and no note (out to lunch etc.) was on the door so I called to see if there was a message on the phone (on vacation, etc.). No message was on his phone, not even a greeting with hours, the phone just rang and rang. Strike two and there won't be a third one. This guy doesn't care.
