Decent selection of 1911's. Missing a few brand names but not too bad a selection overall. Good holster selection, a few sizes of smaller safes, plenty of long guns and a good variety of decent priced ammo. It's worth the trip if you feel like checking it out. Workers were very busy. We were going to buy one, maybe two big ticket items but after 20 mins of waiting, nobody was available to help. Seemed like they were doing well supporting the people they were helping though. Just busy. Might try a week day some other time. We went on a Saturday around lunch time. read more

Guns Galore - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Fenton, Michigan

Stopped in the Fenton Guns Galore on 04 April 2026 from driving from Kalkaska. I had googled if Guns Galore gives military discount. This is what it said. [ Guns Galore in Fenton, Michigan, is listed as offering Law Enforcement (LEO) and Military discounts. They are a licensed FFL dealer and a Yelp review indicates they have a large inventory, though it is recommended to confirm specific discount details directly with the store. Location: 2419 W Baldwin Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 Services: They offer a variety of firearms, ammunition, and accessories.] I get there and go to purchase a few items and get ready to pay. I then asked if they do military discount and the worker there said " we don't offer it and never have". I then told him it said that on google. Well just to let everyone know they don't and not the cheapest at all. Kinda disappointed after that long drive. read more

Terrible service, they aren't in the business of selling, more in the business of sitting around. I recommend people to try a different store because this is not the experience you deserve. read more

I've bought several guns over the last 10years from GG. Also accessories and reloading components. Their prices have always been very competitive and they have a great selection! Their sales people are helpful but they let the customer decide on their purchase. Not pushy at all. Worth the 2 hr drive for me. read more

Made a purchase at this store recently. Not being a gun professional I required some information and assistance. Salesperson was very short with me, did the very minimal to help, and seemed to try to be demeaning and insulting. Won't ever return to GG for any purchase. read more

They are just so rude here every single time. There is one guy in particular, but I won't call him out individually. They just stare and don't say a word and it is super uncomfortable. I'll go anywhere else to purchase a gun. read more

Purchased a rifle from here, process was super easy. Selection was great, many guns to choose from from all different price ranges. The employees were all extremely helpful during my gun purchasing, Sean was a huge help for reaching out about the process. Very knowledgeable guys and very cheap ammo. Highly recommend this place to anyone, my go to gun shop for sure! read more

I have purchased multiple guns, ammo, optics, and equipment from this store. When I purchased my hunting guns Ruger A15 (450 bushmaster) Ruger American (350 legend) the team was very helpful, even helped sight the guns in, and made sure I had the right optics. When I bought my Kimber Target 6 (.357 Revolver) the price was $150 less then a competitor gun store. Multiple times I have been there just "window shopping," and I never felt forced to purchase. Every gun I looked at they would answer any questions I had. When I purchased my optic for my Ruger PC Charger. The owner opened a sealed package to show me the optic, I told him he didn't have to, but I felt he wanted me to have an equal comparison between each optic I was looking at. Even installed a battery so we could visually see the optic comparisons. Which helped me see it was a much better optic for my needs. Ammo prices are always competitive to other dealers. I have brought family members in to purchase guns, and they have been shown the same respect. As far as the "Owner" I have read other comments... regarding him being a narcissist. I personally don't believe this to be true. However, I do believe he is very direct. When I ask him questions I don't get a lot of "fluff" in his answer. He is very straight to the point, and he as even told me that he does not care about certain things. I don't think his answers were rude, but more honest. Maybe even brutally honest, but when I'm purchasing a firearm that I want to be reliable for protection, hunting, etc... I want to speak to someone who is direct and honest. Side note: I was also given a few calendars from the owner as a thank you for being a customer. It's little things like that, that go a long way. It was a simple gesture of acknowledgement. When I want joking, laughing, fluff filled conversations, I go to my Barber. When I want honest answers, Gun knowledge, and a fair price. I go to Guns Galore. read more

Fantastic place of business, treats people very fairly, great gun I purchased thank you very much

Purchased a new gun and was missing choke tubes. Called and they said it my problem and get a hold of manufacture. Customer service is definitively not part of their business culture. read more

Best gun shop in SE Michigan. Excellent selection, knowledgable associates, and prices that you will like. This is the only place I buy, sell and trade rifles, shotguns and pistols!! read more

I bought 5 boxes of 12 gadge shells that were defective, spliting and jaming my gun. The manufacture said they were over 7 years old by the lot number. Guns Galore refused to do anything about. Rude people don't do business with them read more

Guns Galore - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Fenton, Michigan

This is the worst store ever. Biggest rip off scammers out there. Do not go to this store for an appraisal because they will rip you off big time. Example... I have a firearm that I could not find on the internet for less than $450.00 and was told it was worth $150.00 by this store rep. This store is not customer friendly by phone or in person. Great selection of guns and ammo. Too bad about the stores horrible rip off policy combined with rude employees. Wonder if the owner knows what's going on. However good this store my be doing profit wise, I guarantee it is loosing what should by all accounts be a tremendous amount of return business and recommendations. Very disappointed. read more

I want to purchase a gun, bc of my lack of knowledge in this area I have been hesitant to go into a gun store. Today I was in the area so took a deep breath and stopped at GG...big mistake, BIG, HUGE! Once inside I approached a bored looking man behind the counter warned him of my lack of knowledge and experience and explained about my need for something small and easy to handle due to a damaged hand. In short he was a rude little little prick...from start to finish!! I'm pleased to say I maintained my composure, stayed pleasant throughout, after about 10 minutes I thanked him for his time and left...never EVER will I return!!! read more

People like to see and ask questions, e.g. New shooters first time buyers or novice shooters. This is not the place. Snobby sales people here, I spent hard earned money here before only to be treated poorly. Accurate Firearms in Clarkston is a people Gun store. Guns Galore should learn to know who pays their bills. I will not ever spend another dime here.? read more

Have purchased several firearms from this store. Best layaway program of any gun store in our area. 1 year. Also one of the few stores left that let's you handle the firearms without assistance. A+ read more

These guys are pretty low key, but came up big for my needs! Didn't have big expectations, but this is quite a stooge!!

Narcissistic, unhelpful, uncaring staff - frankly, assholes. You need assistance to select a firearm? You're treated like an asshole. Prices were not bad. I have bought several firearms since my experience with this place and am going to purchase two more this week. I can assure you it wont be here. I have spoken with several people who have said the same - have yet to speak with someone that was positive about this place. read more

All the other reviews are correct. I buy several guns a year and have never heard anything good about anyones experience there. I've had the same things happen to me. You can buy a gun anywhere, you think they would know that and go out of there way to fix there attitudes. Obviously the owner isn't concerned about the revenue loss. Buy them online, ship them to a different FFL dealer, save yourself the money and BS. read more

They always have a great selection of guns. The prices 90% of the time are the best. Never had an issue with this place. This is my go to place for guns. I do research before I purchase anything like everyone should. Yes the staff isn't the greatest of "people persons" but I don't let that bother me. Why would I want to go and pay more for something elsewhere? read more

The worst customer service I have ever had at a gun store. Read the other numerous reviews about the POOR SERVICE. The RUDE staff! The UNPROFESSIONAL staff! Today was my first time at the store and it will be my last! I have already spread the word to my friends....DO NOT SHOP AT GUNS GALORE! Do not waste your time and gasoline driving to this store! I can not stress enough how POORLY I was treated. I state again, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! read more

A nice amount of guns and prices seemed good. The problem was the service. In my few visits I found no "friendly gun store" vibe here. When I came in to pick up a gun I ordered I brought a couple to trade in. With the trade in I purchased a second. Apparently buying 2 guns is not enough to get on their good side. The guy hardly said 2 words to me the entire time and seemed pretty mad that I was taking up his time. I won't be visiting them again. read more

I've been buying from Guns Galore for over 15 years. The prices are always good. Selection is usually decent. The customer service is hit or miss, but never horrible. They are often busy, and that affects the level of congeniality you'll experience. But then, where is that not true? If you temper your expectations, it is an acceptable place to buy guns. It is not my favorite place to buy from, but I still frequent them. read more

If you're shopping for just about any sort of gun, you owe it to yourself to take a trip out to Fenton. I visited Guns Galore for the first time not long ago, and I was amazed at the selection of new and used guns of all types and ages. This isn't the usual collection of high capacity 9s and AR-15 clones- they've got just about everything you can imagine, be it for hunting, sport, competition, personal protection or whatever. There's a whole case of nothing but single-action revolvers from Ruger, Colt, and many other makers. Rows of shotguns- doubles, pumps, autos, trap guns, upland guns- you name it. I was admiring a display of used S&W revolvers when a 1970 K-38 Masterpiece caught my eye. Condition was very good, and the price was right, so it followed me home. I arrived late on a Monday afternoon, and the store was very busy, but the staff were still considerate and helpful, and made sure everyone was attended to. One piece of advice a friend gave me on the way here that is probably good advice for any gun store: Don't act like an idiot, and don't pretend to know it all, and you'll have an excellent shopping experience. read more

I went into this dirty store with a friend each planing to buy a long gun. the salesman was horrible when i ask questions he talked down to me telling me that it had the options of a chromed bolt chromed chamber and firing pin when it clearly did not !!! Bate and switch sales tactic !!! if you do your homework and know what options come with a particular gun Then you will see how they have their pricing set up for the expensive gun when they are selling you a model with less options the difference was $350 in this case the store is a rip off I will never go there again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

They're a bunch of lairs. Don't do business with them, or waste your time. I bought a gun from them online and was waiting for them to call me for my FFL and when i called them they sold the gun on me. How could you sell a gun that was already sold to someone else. read more

I've been in here several times over the last year, especially sense it's less than a mile from my house. Waste of time. 1. My biggest complaint is the donut operators and wack jobs working at this place. They're unbelievable rude, short and disrespectful for no reason to customers if they do decide to talk to them. Every time I have been in there a large dirty Asian kid working behind the counter talks down to everyone. I asked him if he knew where I could shoot competevily locally or in the area since I just moved here about a year ago. He preceded to repeatedly tell me I would get my "dick knocked in the dirt" in all levels of shooting. I sat there and smiled while he boasted about how good he is. Punk kid never bothered to ask my level of shooting experience. I've spent the last 10 years behind a weapon every day, I shoot at least 1000-3000 rnds a month and competitively as well. I have a state level firearms instructor certification and I am a certified armorer - so I think I will be ok when it comes to firing a round or two off. 2. It has an ok new and used gun selection, some of them are decently priced, some of them are garbage guns. 3. They don't really sell anything else firearms equipment related at all. What they do have is some over priced old beat up holsters in a box you can dig through. 4. If you have an FFL transfer you can do it a Rurual Ling for $12.99, these jockers charge $75 a gun. 5. The shop is dirty, dusty, cramped, outdated, and rough. They do not care about their appearance as a business. read more

I went the other day not sure what to expect based on the Yelp reviews. So glad I just went in. There were other customers in the store and the staff seemed busy. But within minutes I was greeted and asked if I could be helped. I had my list of Hand guns I wanted to see and Sean/Shawn walked me through each one. Eventually decided to go with a CZ, put 300 rounds through it the first day and couldn't be happier. Thanks to Sean/Shawn and his staff. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back soon. read more

AVOID GUNS GALORE AT ALL COST!!! PLease take your business elsewhere. The entire staff is so rude, arrogant and patronizing they make you feel stupid for asking reasonable questions or just act like you're wasting their time being there. I don't even know why they're in business if they're just so annoyed by everyone. All the employees attitudes were awful! I have dealt with two employees directly who were all incredibly rude and treated me like a moron while I was trying to you know.. purchase items.. and I witnessed a third employee being very dismissive and rude to an elderly man asking some questions. All I had was some general questions and they stare at you like you're an idiot before answering with a patronizing tone of voice. I have never felt so disrespected in a place of business. I think since they don't have much competition they feel they can act however they want. I will never be returning!!! Don't believe me? Give them a call and see how rude they are even over the phone. read more

This is a yes or no business. If they do not have it they will see if they can get it. The answer will be yes or no. Vary little small talk. There prices are usual fair but it is up to you to know. This is not a place to go if you know nothing about guns. They are there to make money not friends. They have a lot of things "in the back". If you do not see what you want, ask. The best time to go there is first thing when they open. read more

This place treats you like your stupid, very rude staff and everything is overpriced. I looked at a Taurus handgun. They asked $429 for it. I went to Dunhams and paid $305. I will not return to Guns Galore again. read more

This is the worst business establishment I've even been to. On March 21st I went in to purchase a gun and filled out some paperwork that took me 5 min and was told to put down a $100 deposit and that I can come back in 3 days to pick it up. There was probably about 6 other people in the store looking at guns that day. Fast forward to Thursday when they said I could pick up the gun. I lost my job and got laid off due to the coronavirus, so I didn't have the money to spend on a gun at the time. I had hoped I would be able to just get my deposit back since I never walked out of the store with the gun. The manager or whatever he was pretty much told me that he didn't care and that me loosing my job was my problem and that he wouldn't be able to give me my deposit money back. He proceeded to tell me that I put it on lay away and that lay away is non refundable. No one told me I was putting it on lay away and no one said me that my deposit is non refundable. The way he's does business was unprofessional in every way and I would recommend going to shoot center to purchase a gun. read more

They purposely don't answer their phone right now and they don't have to because the patrons keep coming for fear of their 2nd amendment rights being infringed upon. The place is so packed that you feel like your waiting at the deli but there are tons of people ahead of you and your lucky to be helped even after an hour of being in store... but they do have an awesome selection. The store is dingy and dark, no bells and whistles but they likel have something you are looking for. read more

I had driven by Guns Galore dozens of times but did not stop until a month ago. I stopped again a week ago. Both times I walked out completely happy and with a new rifle each time. Thanks to Derek, very attentive, not pushy, knowledgeable. He found me exactly the rifle I had wanted to buy for a long time. The second time Rob helped me. Again, same good service, good prices, enormous selection. Well worth the drive (35 miles). I plan to go back again. Thanks, Randy. Keep the lights on and the doors open ! I love this place! The salesmen always seem to be very helpful and friendly to me and I'm a girl...which says a lot.
