Krav Maga is a skill set that is very useful for self defense. They have 2 main rooms to teach where they can separate between advance and beginner students. We did their level one and they were so accommodating and considerate that I had a hand injury. They visually showed us techniques and had us partner up and practice ourselves, always correcting and encouraging along the way. We practiced pretend real world scenarios of attackers attempting to choke and grab and how we can overpower them to escape. They provide kicking and punching pads during the practice. The whole experience was enjoyable and fun. I would love to bring my dad here. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Randall who showed us around the studio, that is also super clean and maintained, and Kim our level one instructor. They were both such cool genuine people. The large parking lot was filled with vendors selling a variety of items. I picked up several useful and cool things very inexpensively. The Tamarac Recreation Center is located in Tamarac Park. The Recreation Center with has offices while the park has baseball fields, a covered playground, concession stand, restrooms, and picnic tables. Adjacent to the Tamarac Park Recreation Center is the Tamarac Multipurpose Center. The facility has a gymnasium, meeting rooms, teen council, art room, restroom, and locker rooms. Tamarac stages many events at these facilities and the park throughout the year. She didn't speak English but we managed to communicate through translator app and she was friendly and sweet. They have ducks, goats, donkeys, bunnies, lots of different chickens, cats, guinea pigs, an emu, a pig, tortoises. I wish we could've held the bunnies or gone inside the goat pen. There was no staff out in the farm to ask if we could so we just walked around. The cats are very friendly and so are the goats. The pens were clean, with fresh water and food. It was hot and there were a lot of flies but it's to be expected here in south Florida during the summer on a farm. In the back of the property, although not related to the farm I don't think, were horse stables. We meandered over there and said hello to them in their pens. A small farm but very cute.
