There's three stoner type guys working there tonight, no other customers. I ask for a beer I've gotten everywhere, but have trouble finding it here at Gunbarrel. All three are searching on the computer for awhile. Last time I was there I was told it would be in back if not in the case. These three guys have never heard of it. I spent 15 minutes hoping they'd find it, but left without it. I was told to come back when all the employees were there. Don't like their selection or their attitude. The comment I got was "hard times".... Like referencing the Coronavirus was supposed to make me understand. It's too bad there isn't a better liquor/wine/beer store in this area. read more

I've been going to the liquor store for over a decade. The employees know me well. I've never had such bad service in my life! Unbelievably rude. They act like they are a high end tattoo parlor! The long story short is: it works. If you're in the area and hankering for some quick and convenient booze, this is the place for you. Unless, of course, it's Sunday in which case you're out of luck no matter what time it is. Gunbarrel Liquor doesn't have a vast selection but if you're looking for the basics you can swing by this little hole and pick it up. I'm pretty torn on the customer service since half the time they seem a bit rough and short and the other half friendly and helpful; I guess it just depends on who's working. All in all, since you live in Gunbarrel and don't feel like driving 10 min to another liquor store, this place is pretty good. On Sundays you'll just have to get your booze on at church. read more

I moved into the area about a year ago and have been going to this liquor store since then. If I'm just buying beer I usually go to the king Soopers (who would've thought.. giant corporations have better deals normally than the small one-off shops), but the customer service here at Gunbarrel Liquor is great. Always super friendly and helpful. Staff is knowledgeable not just on (my preferred beverage:) beer, but also on their wine selection which has come in handy often as I am less than an expert on wines. I'm happy to shop here each time I do and have never left with bad beer, or a regrettable selection (thank you to the staff!). read more

If you want watered down tequila, shop here! I walked into this fine establishment and asked for help making margaritas because I haven't made them at home before. The gentleman brought me to the " tequila exótico blanco" I respectively appreciated his recommendation and purchased it along side some mixer. I went home and had a few drinks, which tasted kind of off mind you. The next day my tequila is frozen in my freezer.. I called you tell the store so that they were aware and they asked me if I think they open their bottles and water it down, which hasn't even occurred to me. Which now makes me think that if that's the first place you go that you must be opening your bottles and watering them down for reasons unknown. They didn't care or offer to make it right so needless to say I'm not going to shop here anymore! Happy drinking guys! read more

I have been hear several times when looking for some shooters or quick drinks and they have only disappointed once in terms of product availability. As this is the only liquor store choice in the local area you would pretty much have to drive to Boulder or Niwot in order to get other choices. The service has always been pretty good, the store looks a bit cluttered but that is pretty much expected with a liquor store. As our office is right across the street we will continue going here for our immediate needs. read more

This place is a great neighborhood liquor store.. Loren is super-friendly and knowledgeable about everything he stocks. A great local business! I read some other reviews that were upset about getting ID'd but that the way it is in Boulder. The last two times I've bought beer there they've been skunked beers- canned longer than 6 months ago. Come on guys, you have the only store and King Soopers just started selling beers...don't screw it up, get your act together. I used to stop here for my liquor purchases on my way home from work, as I work down the street, but I won't anymore thanks to one of their HORRIBLE employees. The men who work the cash register are nice enough, but there is an older woman who works here who seems to think she is the store bulldog. The first time I encountered her I was looking for a specific wine that the store did not carry, so I left. Keep in mind I am a professional looking person in business casual work attire, not a bum or a kid with no money (sorry if that's not politically correct). As I was exiting the store, the woman called out to me demanding to know if I had found what I was looking for; I smiled and said no, but thank you. She stormed out after me as I was walking towards my car, placed her hands on my purse, and ordered me to open it. Mortified that we were observed by several onlookers, I complied. She rifled through my bag and, of course, found nothing. No apology from her, just: "Next time ask me for help!" I told her I was offended by all of this, as I'm a regular customer. "Too bad!" This was several months ago and recently again I risked coming to this store. Again, I did not find what I was looking for and left, this time with no purse on me and clearly nowhere to hide merchandise. Again, this woman argued with me at the door asking if I hadn't found what I was looking for and I left feeling like a criminal. I did not know it was considered a crime to enter a store and leave without purchasing anything, but apparently at Gunbarrel Liquor it is. I will certainly never come here again. read more

Would not accept vertical ID even though the birthdate clearly shows I am over 21. The ID doesn't expire for a few more months. Will not be returning here and would not recommend them to anyone else. read more
