I have a few requirements for good gyms: adequate equipment for bodybuilding and powerlifting, the "vibe" or "aura" of the gym, the cleanliness, and the quality of the people.
Gumse gym gets 5 stars for all of these criteria. They had CrossFit, strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, and everyday gym-goer equipment. They had a room for posing classes and whatnot, as well as other offerings such as massage therapy.
It was such a pleasure to meet the owner, Mikael Gumse, a successful Swedish bodybuilder who may appear intimidating on the outside with his roadmap forearm veins, but is in reality a genuinely humble and generous person.
If I lived in the Kista area or even in the Stockholm area, I would make myself a member of Gumse gym and be a regular. It was too bad I only had one night to train there. read more
