Gumse gym gets 5 stars for all of these criteria. They had CrossFit, strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, and everyday gym-goer equipment. They had a room for posing classes and whatnot, as well as other offerings such as massage therapy. It was such a pleasure to meet the owner, Mikael Gumse, a successful Swedish bodybuilder who may appear intimidating on the outside with his roadmap forearm veins, but is in reality a genuinely humble and generous person. If I lived in the Kista area or even in the Stockholm area, I would make myself a member of Gumse gym and be a regular. It was too bad I only had one night to train there.

I am usually not a huge fan of this chain as the fact that they usually have no staff tend to also attract some shady characters. Here it is however clear that, at least during day time on weekdays, that the white collar staff from the nearby offices dominate. Staff here are friendly and helpful, there is an abundance of cardio machines (which I mainly use) but also some weights and other machines. Seldom see people having to wait so that is a big plus. A bit of drawback that there are no built in TVs in the treadmills so often have to watch some dull public service crap without sound on. The showers and changing rooms are kept clean and fairy tidy.

The gym has cardio machines and weight lifting machines as expected. The free weights area is of average size. The place felt tidy and welcoming. The address is great, close to the Kista mall - all in all this is a good place if you live in the area. Hardly a gym to travel to for a visit though.

Adding to that this center also offers "MiniSATS" - a place to pawn your kids while working out. With it's glass and metall design, large panoramic windows overlook the newly built walkway in the mall, this center gives you a sense of energy and participation. All in all this center offers members a wide variety of workout options. Spa-like showers together with both steam- and regular sauna completes the picture.
