We have visited Gull Landing several times over the past 25 years we have visited Pentwater, this last visit was by far the worst. We were told it would take 45 mins to get our food bc they were low on staff. It took an hour and half to get our food after ordering. Our server never came back to refill our coffee. (We were there for breakfast) Every single one of our orders was wrong when our food came out and I am going to be honest it was disappointing. My toast wasn't even edible because they doused it was butter or grease of some kind. The only reason I gave 1 star is bc they did take one meal off our bill. We won't be returning unless they have new ownership/management. Such a shame, as this restaurant used to be so good. We've given them plenty of chances but unfortunately things keep getting worse.

I was here with a group of 6 and everyone seemed pleased with their food, drinks, and service. We sat in the outdoor area which had plenty of tables with good distancing. The music was good, atmosphere was nice, and there were covid procedures in place. I had the chicken club sandwich which had avocado and bacon on it. I really liked the combination but the bread was a little tough. I also had with sweet potato wedges which were good. Hubby and fish and chips and he said it was just alright. Our service was good and I enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere so I'd visit her again.

Great food and friendly staff. Always enjoy coming here each summer. We order the salmon and blue burger.

We went down from Ludington with two of our best friends this evening to eat on the patio landing. Two of us had the baked chicken which was absolutely wonderful with baked potato and green beans. Sammy was our waitress who did an outstanding job of tending to us. We all rated this experience a 10 out of 10 tonite!

Great music, drinks and dinner with outside dining. Probably the best restaurant in the area.

I have been to this restaurant many times. I enjoy the vibe of the Backyard Bar where they do live…read moremusic. After my experience with the bartender last night though, it may be my last time. It wasn't overly busy being Homecoming weekend and there being a concert on the Village Green. I had already ordered a drink, and was back for my second. There was a group of maybe 6 young men ordering so I stood behind to wait my turn. I know from going previously that the line typically goes to the left of the bar. But it is not noted anywhere that this is where they want you to form the line. Since the group of young men were standing all together in a circle group at the bar, I just stood behind them since no one else was in line and my seat was to the right. As the left one man kindly ushered me toward the register. I stood there a moment and a man came up from the left (remember there wasn't a line but his table was to the left). She ignored me and took his order. I stood there in disbelief as it was SO rude! The guy ordering picked up on my annoyance (even though I was silent) and asked if he did that wrong (by coming from the left). And in a horribly snotty tone she gestured to me and said "No she did." I stood there incredulous that this young girl spoke to a customer like that. He left and she asked for my order, which I gave her. She shoved the card reader at me and after paying she slammed her register drawer and stared at me angrily (likely because she saw I didn't tip her after her behavior). Again, I know that usually the line forms to the left but it seemed silly to stand there when the group moved all together and I was coming from the right...and NO ONE else was there. To treat me so rudely was unacceptable behavior from an employee. Today her photo is on the business Facebook page and I think everyone needs to know how the bartender treats paying customers. I will definitely hesitate to go back even though I previously frequented this business.

Due to current circumstances, we didn't have the most enjoyable experience. We loved this place…read morewhen it was full service. We always enjoyed talking to our servers here and kicking back. Now the deal is, customers find a table, grab menus and a piece of paper to place order with. Menu is limited, but included some of our favorites like the smoked fish dip l, Michigan cherry salad and perch basket. They still have two outdoor seating options. Either on the large deck or a grassy seating area. They now have a stage for live music in the lawn. Servers bring your drinks and food once order is placed. We hope to return when they offer full menu and full service again.

The menus are QR codes on the tables, which is pretty standard. I didn't love that food and drinks are on separate tabs. So with 2 of us there, we had 4 tabs by the end. 1 each for food, and 1 each for drinks. It felt a little disjointed. It was also a little hard to get a server's attention when needed. You order on your phone, but just to get a couple glasses of water it took some time to flag down our server. And really, it's more of a host/food-runner situation since all the order processing is done online. I'm not super into cocktails, but their drinks really sounded amazing. They have some very fun, and inventive cocktails. If we hadn't already been to 2 breweries I probably would've ordered one. Instead I had a beer, which I believe was a house made IPA, and was fine. We weren't super hungry so we each ordered some egg rolls and shared them. Not necessarily the best I've ever had, but they were definitely good enough. I appreciate that they had some fun, not typical types of egg rolls on the menu. The space was cool, and I liked the food well enough that I'd go back. Hopefully it will feel a little more like a dining experience next time. That, or they could just have people order at a counter and it would make more sense. The Sunday brunch menu is small, but sounds amazing. I'm more likely to return for that rather than for a dinner.

HURL and SPEW more like it…read more A round of applause to the menu writer for creating intrigue. And also props to the waiters for having a positive attitude about deplorable food. I DO NOT recommend eating the food here. Laughably bad. The heirloom tomato was described as marinated, pickled, smoked, candied, and blistered with micro cilantro and finishing salt. Okay, already trying too hard with the descriptors. And no effort whatsoever with the actual execution of the dish. It was truly cold cherry tomatoes with olive oil and salt. Sad. A little funny. And ultimately puzzling. The shrimp was $15 for 3 shrimp plated on shredded iceberg and pickled jalapeño. The wontons might have been purchased at Trader Joe's and thrown in the deep frier. Lastly, the burrata. I should have known better than to order burrata "fried," that's a tragic oxymoron. Rubbery on the inside, crusty on the outside, and seeping with milky juices, tenderly plated with thin slices of hamburger bun cutely called a crostini. Stick to the cocktails-- had we only stopped for drinks, our review would have been glistening with stars.
