I got help from Izzy and Mark with figuring out my DJ controller, finding out what kind of cables I need and what my options are with studio monitors. They were very helpful and the layout of the store made it easy to find what I need. I'm glad to come back to this store when I need some help and gear. read more

These guys just wasted my time. They never shipped the guitar and never gave me any updates. And just cancelled my order after 2 weeks! Now I don't know where my money went. Waiting for updates from my bank. Now I have to re order the guitar and it won't arrive on gig day! Never order and visit this branch! read more

Robert helped me quick and was very polite! I had a small issue and it was able to be fixed easily without any hassle. Thanks Robert.

Bought a Sterling by Music Man Ray34 HH here. 2 tuning pegs were seized, the truss rod was not even engaged. The instrument was not kept in a proper climate or cared for in any way. Wood was dry as a bone. Honestly, I probably will never purchase from them ever again. Edit: I reached out to their support as I was requested to. They wanted to have the store manager reach out to me. I explained that I did not want to speak with the store manager. They then said they could have the district manager reach out to me. I agreed. The store manager then reached out to me days later regardless, and stated that we could return the instrument, or get me a compensation. I explained that I was already in the hole for 325 in luthier costs, and the manager then ghosted me for about a week. Edit 2: The district manager has now reached out to me after all of this time, and seems to be actually interested in making things right, so that is a plus. Currently in talks with them about solving this. Edit 3: the district manager, Doug Frank, has been radio silent for over 5 days now. I provided the luthier receipt as requested, but have heard nothing back. Also, the customer service contact has yet to respond after I called them out for ghosting me originally. Been about 17 days since they last answered me. Long story short here is that if you get scammed by your local guitar center, they will leave you holding the bag. You will not get your issues addressed, and you will be ignored. Take your money anywhere else. Avoid GC and Musicians Friend. read more

I keep driving to this store and can never get what I'm looking for, although their website is always claiming to have the items in store. Always wasting my time, gas and energy. So completely over them and done! How about rather than arguing with your customers about whether or not they received a confirmation text/email saying they can drive to the store...you do something else? (I have MANY suggestions!) Especially when you claim - while standing around casually chatting - that you're in the "process of looking" for said item ordered online? Rather than waiting hours to let customers know (if ever!) that the order is cancelled or whatever else you people do - reach out to them immediately! No one has all day waiting to hear about something that they need for immediate use! My advice? Don't waste your time and energy like I've been doing time and again with this store. I'll never again drive there. Just a huge waste. read more

Went in with my girlfriend to get a new guitar, was instantly welcomed by Mike. He was super easy to talk to and work with. He seemed like a really good, hard working guy. He cared about what I had to say and was super easy to talk to. Good job Mike. read more

Don't know if they are understaffed or if they are having issues. Kind of looks like the place is on the way out because it's very disorganized there's just stuff all over the place. it would be sad to lose a music store in the area. It could be a little friendlier to customers. If they have what you need you can purchase at a competitive price. read more

I came in for a drum amp today and was lucky to get the one I wanted for 10% off. I got the simmons 2112 and it sounds great and is louder than expected while still sounding clean. Jon was my salesman, he is always friendly , knowlegable and helpful. read more

I visited the guitar center to purchase a guitar for my son. I had very little knowledge about what to purchase and was helped by the best salesperson. Mike was knowledgeable, honest and very helpful. I also enjoyed talking with several customers who were helpful in making my decision also. Such a great place! It really is a wonderful place with a great community of musicians. read more

Bought a guitar and amp so I can learn to play because cable TV is expensive and boring, Nexflix doesn't have good selections anymore IMHO, and social media makes me cringe. The staff was friendly, humorous and very knowledgeable. A plus experience. read more

I take my guitar there for setups and any work needed and the tech Jason always takes the time to explain what he did and never made me feel rushed. The reason I take it to him is when I first talked to him, he exuded a confidence that he could fix all the issues I had other than other store techs from other locations. The store is small but I appreciate what is there in inventory. I would like to see a sample pedal board I can plug into to checkout different effects. Good place to shop. If your looking for much larger inventory mostly regarding sound and acoustics, you may want to check out other locations, besides that, I recommend stopping by. read more

Just want to shout out to Brendan who re-strung a guitar today like a wizard! I called ahead not having a clue how this worked, I bought a used guitar as a gift and I'm not versed in any of this. The entire staff was nice - from the call I made to the politeness from all. Thanks all! You made my very anxious weirdo self feel so comfortable and at ease! read more

Incredible service! Excellent people and they guided me very well. Would definitely go back again.

Worst customer service ever! I've worked for GC in the past, i've shopped at well over 20 different locations, never seen such inept mgmt. I called the store on 9/10 and was told both guitar models i was interested in were in stock. Came in the next day only to be told that they "both" must've sold out (In 24 hours). I had them order one of them for me and was told it would take 3-5 days. Two weeks later i find out it's on back-order (No notification or anything). I was told it would come on 9/23. I called on 9/23 and spoke with the mgr (Robbie) who said he'd speak with his warehouse guys & get back to me by the following morning, nope! I called late the next day and spoke with him again. He literally could not answer a single question without saying, "I don't know, or Maybe." So they had my money, but couldn't even offer me a guess as to when i would rec' my guitar other than "Maybe in a month or two." I called Customer Svs and explained the situation, they got right on it & shipped the guitar to the store overnight (Awesome, right?). I go to pick up the guitar from the store and was treated like, "Here, take it and get out!" I asked if they could look it over for me & "Set it up." The tech was busy, so another employee pretty much just tuned it (Like 2 steps down btw). Then he stuffed it in my case and walked away without a word...no help at all. I couldn't figure out why he was acting so strangely when he locked my case before i even had the chance to touch my new guitar. Sure enough, as soon as i got home and inspected it, the scarf joint on the neck is coming undone. The store told me it would take another 1-2 months. I called Ibanez directly and they are setting one aside for me to come pick up at the factory (Close by). As a former professional musician and current studio owner who has spent tens of thousands of dollars at GC throughout the years, this store has lost my business to Sweetwater or literally anywhere else. Just sad. read more

Guitar center is excellent. The staff is always eager to help me, and they certainly know what they're talking about. I know I can rely on the guys there for good information, and a quality conversation. I would recommend guitar center to anyone who is buying a guitar, looking for an upgrade or just buying strings. Service is second to none. read more

I have been to this Guitar Center many times with my 14 year old son who plays guitar. We have never been greeted with a simple hello? how are you?, how many we help you? Literally nothing! Horrible customer service! I get better information ordering products on Amazon and reading the reviews! read more

I am very disappointed in the lack of service I received on this, my first visit to Guitar Center. I called the day before and asked if they were open on Sunday (they are) and that I would like for someone to show me how to put strings onto a guitar. I was assured they would be happy to help. When I arrived today from my home about 18 miles away, I was told that they didn't have anyone there who could string my guitar or even show me how to do it. I was told that only a trained technician could help me, and that he works Tuesday through Saturday. There was a manager on duty but he or she didn't come out from the back / office to offer any help. Maybe my expectations are too high, but it seems to me that if you are qualified to run a store called Guitar Center you should know how to teach a newbie how to string a guitar. My guess is that he or she probably knows how to string a guitar - heck, I'd be shocked if any of the three employees I saw in the virtually empty store don't know - but that customer service is not a high priority for this Guitar Center location. I could be wrong, but the lack of service was very disappointing. read more

Went in there Saturday to do a gear swap with someone, was told we cant do that in the store because its considered "soliciting".. Had to do it in the parking lot..We were about to plug in, but were told to make sure we dont exchange gear in the store. After about 10 minutes we starting getting looked at as if we weren't really welcome. I offered to buy a pair of strings to show appreciation but was told it's not allowed either way.. I've done this at probably 20 different guitar shops and it's never been a problem before Saturday at guitar center. It proved to me that the investors dont really care about music or people that play or they would encourage anyone coming into the store for any reason. Made me never want to shop there again. Very disappointing.. read more

Lessons are poor, bad curriculum not interested in the guitar center way of learning.

Went in later in the evening 7 or so and the guitar sales guy was high as a kite!

Today was my first and last time I will visit this store. I did not care for the double door entry. The customer service at this location horrible. There were more three associates and no one said, "Hello, may I help out"? If you cannot practice simple rule of business practice of treating your customer with respect you should not be in business. Do not shop here go to music123.com for your instrument needs. read more

Always a pleasant experience in this place. If I know what I want, I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes, and not pressured into anything I don't want. Even when they suggest add-ons, they're not annoying about it at all. My go-to spot for all my music project needs. read more

Nothing but pleasant experiences here. It's a chain, so they're somewhat bound by corporate policies on discounts and trade deals. But they have a nice inventory of instruments and recording gear. And I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. With Dave Phillips closing their Allentown store, GC is pretty much the only game in town, except for the smaller, boutiquier places like Guitar Villa. Hopefully they'll stay humble and helpful. If not, there's always Sweetwater. read more

Brett & Brock in the drums dept. are gems. As a brand new drummer, I stopped in to inquire about a set and received excellent service. Not only were they efficient and patient with me, but they took the time to assemble the kit and tune them for me. Both guys went above and beyond. read more
