So I wondered if any of the older white customers would have asked if they would have been asked the same question. My son went to Sweetwater and was handed with a smile any guitar, at any price that he wanted to play. So how dare the meth head behind the counter look at us and decide we couldn't afford anything in your store. Your small minded staff is a great credit to why you will stay small. They say great things about Southtown and shared how they have been in this neighborhood for quite some time. Just yesterday I was speaking to a parent and she had been bringing her kids for over 5 years! Kendra is on staff and I believe the manager there. She is very knowledgeable, fun, and accommodating to all the guests that come through. She doesn't shy away from letting you try any instrument in the store. Dean is also on staff and he is very helpful. No, I mean like, very very out of this world helpful! We actually chatted through Thumbtack to get things arrangeds for my daughters piano lessons. Dean not only recommended the right string (costs only $1) but also put it on my guitar free of charge. Such a genuinely sweet guy. He has a free 30 mins session which I think I will try out soon.
