Another visit to Guitar Center, and again we were not let down, in fact this visit was better than the last due to the increased amount of selection, both in keyboards, and guitar equipment. The staff is very helpful, and not pushy at all, and they let me play any guitar I wanted without hovering over me, which made for a very comfortable shopping vibe. We ended up buying a keyboard, and I might go back and purchase some other gear soon. I just love the overall feeling of this store, because the customers are all very nice too, and it's a very fun place to spend a couple of hours. I resisted going here bc it's a chain, but I'm a convert. Dustin, the manager, has been at the store since it's opening many years ago, and he's succeeded in making it feel local and friendly. Many of the staff have been there for years, which says a lot about the work culture. The repair person is incredibly friendly, skilled and helpful. My recent interaction with him is what inspired me to write a yelp review, which I never do. What they don't have in house, they can order and their return policy is great. read more

My worry is that I like being in this store too much. This is a low-pressure shop with a massive selection of guitars. They encourage you to try things out in the store. I've never experienced any attitude when I bring gear back after purchase. I'm picky so I do this quite a bit. As a result of their friendly attitude, I buy my gear here whenever possible. read more

Good selection of guitars and ukuleles at a variety of price points. There are plenty of entry level choices. Helpful, friendly staff, this would be a good place to shop if you are buying a gift and don't know what you're looking for. There was a bit of upsell going on, but it was pretty subtle, and after all, they are here to sell musical instruments. As a musician and former music teacher, here's my advice: if you like the instrument, if it inspires you and gives you joy, if it fits your hands and body, then you are much more likely to practice and be successful in your music. If the instrument isn't right for you, sell it and get one that you want. read more

Definitely another 5 star review. This place rocks. Parking is available in front in the giant strip mall parking lot. The inside of this store is pretty beautiful. Plenty of selection for all the guitarists out there. Special mention goes to their "wall of guitars". It was more colourful than a Christmas tree. Staff were very friendly and personable. All of them looked like they were having a good time at work. Most importantly though, they were able to find me the part I needed for my guitar, at a very reasonable price. I asked them to test fit the piece on a guitar of the same model, and they were able to locate and verify that the part fit. I will gladly be back to give them more business. Bellingham Guitar Center is everything you need to be a very happy musician! I have made many large and small purchases over a number of years. I was contacted immediately by guitar center the manager took very good care of me and rectified the situation. A renowned man of ancient times once uttered the the famous proverb: "If someone compels you into service for a mile, go with him two miles." I have to give a shoutout to a specific employ at this GC location that wonderfully represents the truth in those words. Ben (the Guru) time and time again, has proved to go above in beyond, and go an extra SEVEN miles in helping me. Never for a second does it seem as if he is trying to sell me something for selling's sake. He is truly a walking encyclopedia coupled with a passion for music, gear, sound, etc., and clearly desires to help others in understanding what they need by whatever means necessary. His ability to teach and break down the most complex issues of your needs is astounding. The rest of the staff, bless their hearts, they are great also. Very helpful. Polite, helpful, knowledgeable and energetic staff make this a great place to ask "dumb" questions and get respectful answers. Turner helped me find the exact solution to my problem, without any pressure or misleading sales tactics. While we were there the salespeople were all busy helping customers in person and on the phone - it's obviously a popular business - but there wasn't any stress or tension between associates and even tho they were all multitasking, they kept their focus on customer service. I was sent from the Lynnwood location to pick up a drum machine that was out of stock. On the phone, the employee said there was nothing wrong with it, but when I arrived, there were massive scratches on the screen and the buttons were worn out. It was a huge waste of my time and gas, and all it would've taken was being upfront about the damage. They were going to charge me full price for the opened, worn-out drum machine too. read more

My review can be summed up in just a few words: these people are awesome! Every time I go there I talk to people who have quite a bit of knowledge! The staff are more than willing to share what they know! My most recent experience I talked to James and he was telling me about my studio set up. I didn't bring my equipment but he was able to tell me what I need for a proper set up. He wasn't pushy at all and you can tell he is passionate about studio set ups! You can't ask for better service! I also went there about a year ago to figure out why my system wasn't working. It turns out all I needed was a new cable, not a new mic. Thanks to James (different James) I got it fixed and it didn't cost me a whole lot. They also have intro courses led by the store manager. I went to one. Awesome experience. Out of town and I needed to kill some time, but had my family with me. Always hard to look at guitars with three kids. But the place wasn't the standard GC (meaning it wasn't unpleasantly loud). Staff were very friendly (kept asking if we needed help, but not pushy). I had a chance to play 6+ guitars. I didn't buy one, but wanted to spend some $'s to show my appreciation, so bought a ton of needed gear (picks, books, strings, etc.). Thanks for letting me hang there with my kids. read more

This place is truly wonderful. All service folks here are extremely knowledgeable and very, very helpful. If they do not have what you are looking for, they will find it! Their repAir shop is excellent (Walker is talented and very patient and kind). The instructors ---all of them--are truly caring and go way above and beyond to find ways to meet learning style needs.
