Lark is a woman's boutique, they sell quality sweaters, purses and other cashmere and wool accessories. There are so many other little accessories, like unique fair trade earrings, and hair accessories. They also have a whole assortment of decor for your home or your Christmas tree. They have a baby section at Lark. From the tiny holiday dresses, to the softest plushies, and so many toys and books. The one reason I can't give five stars to Lark is the cost, everything is a pretty penny here. If you're looking for cashmere gloves, or some moon and star earrings, this is your place.

They are always well stocked, have a large discount section and seem to get new items in before other H&M stores. Also, unlike many H&Ms it's clean and well organized. Finding things isn't an exercise in futility. No clothes in the isles. Nothing just dumped on the rack. Also, all of the employees I've encountered have been friendly, helpful and polite. I haven't checked out the women's or childrens sections so I cant really comment. However, just passing through to mens it seems the same. Neat and tidy. This process went on for almost a month before we made the final purchases. Amy and her managers worked with us and NEVER ever put any pressure on us. I would highly recommend Amy and Saybrook Home for all your needs to make your home BEAUTIFUL!!

The staff was extremely helpful (one of them) or mediocre & preoccupied (the other). I stopped in before a work related dinner as I arrived to town early and had already had some Starbucks, and I was glad I did. I walked away with 3 new tops which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Minus one star for size selection - they carry all 3 "regular" sizes (S/M/L) but she told me more than once that "they usually only send one in that size" and that people often ask for those sizes... so... order more? And minus one more star for price - there were no promotions or sales other than the weird colors from last season, and the products were overpriced compared to what you can get them for online. I liked the ability to try them on, but more than once I hinted I would purchase two more items if I could get a price break somewhere and it was essentially ignored. Their loss!

Lo and behold, I did find a pair that I really, really liked on Tuesday. I went home and tried to find them online, but to my luck I couldn't find them anywhere. When I came back on Thursday and was approached by a sales associate asking if I needed any help and I told him the exact pair that I wanted. He bent down and looked in the drawer where all of the new fresh pairs were kept. He takes out a pair and says oh these are them, and I said "no, I'm sorry they're not, they're not the right color." He said, "yes they are, they are the same model number as the one you just showed me." (Rodinara MK5009). I told him that through my research I noticed that there are four pairs they go under this model number, but they are just different colors (Silver, gunmetal, rose/pink, and gold). He said, "oh well, we just go by the MK4digit here." You could tell he was getting slightly flustered because it was apparent that I was more knowledgeable in the product that he is supposed to be selling to me. Thankfully not too long after, we found the exact pair that I wanted and I went up to the register. During checkout, I felt extremely rushed. I understand it's supposed to be a quick transaction, you know, the usual swipe your card, sign, etc., but it just seems like he couldn't wait for me to leave so that he can move onto the next potential customer. Nevertheless, the store is incredibly clean, welcoming, and thankfully stocked.

Now that everyone and their sister owns a Coach bag, I've moved on to MK. I don't always find something I like, but sometimes I hit the jackpot. The staff obviously work on commission, because they fall over each other trying to help you. Which works out well for the customer because they are so eager to please. I was in your shop for about 20-25 minutes. From the moment I walked in till the last second I walked out, I was never greeted ONCE. I didn't even get a blink of an eye. At one point, towards the end of my visit as I lapped through the entire store, my last round after looking at the shoes was looking at the jewelry that was on the counter where the register is, I purposely stood about 1 feet away from her to see if I can get ANY acknowledgement and still, she didnt say 1 word. There wasnt any "hello. How are you? Let me know if I can help." NOTHING!!!! I saw so many cute things in this shop, but quite honestly, I told myself Im not going to buy anything if I dont even get the slightest half smile from her. I gave 20+ minutes of a chance. I was furious as I walked out, and I refuse to support a business that does not want to welcome my patronage. I am a business owner myself, and I cannot imagine my staff treating paying customers like this, especially when it's customers that pay for their payroll.
