I stopped in before a work related dinner as I arrived to town early and had already had some Starbucks, and I was glad I did. I walked away with 3 new tops which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Minus one star for size selection - they carry all 3 "regular" sizes (S/M/L) but she told me more than once that "they usually only send one in that size" and that people often ask for those sizes... so... order more? And minus one more star for price - there were no promotions or sales other than the weird colors from last season, and the products were overpriced compared to what you can get them for online. I liked the ability to try them on, but more than once I hinted I would purchase two more items if I could get a price break somewhere and it was essentially ignored. Their loss!

I have had a gift card for there since Christmas, however because I am not even acknowledged when I walk in I refuse to use it. I found two great Foxcroft button down shirts, perfect for work, on sale for $37! The owner was very friendly and we got to talking about where I was visiting from, West Hartford, and she happened to have grown up there. She also shared a lot about the cute new spring items she had just ordered from her recent purchasing trip to New York. I look forward to seeing the cute styles she described on my next day trip down to Essex!

Walking into this store is like walking into the stores up north in Maine,Vermont etc., where you find good quality mens clothing and unique giftware. It has a welcoming environment, with beautiful displays of merchandise. My husband bought a nice pair of shorts and at the sister store, Compass Rose, I bought a unique top and beautiful lightweight handbag. The staff in both stores were welcoming and friendly. Thank you to the owner who has done an excellent job of ordering great clothes and giftware for men and women in both stores. I will be back!!!

They are always well stocked, have a large discount section and seem to get new items in before other H&M stores. Also, unlike many H&Ms it's clean and well organized. Finding things isn't an exercise in futility. No clothes in the isles. Nothing just dumped on the rack. Also, all of the employees I've encountered have been friendly, helpful and polite. I haven't checked out the women's or childrens sections so I cant really comment. However, just passing through to mens it seems the same. Neat and tidy. Great location and worth the 45 minute drive for me to get there!
