10/4/2023 - TERRIBLE DEAL! I was trying to consolidate some debt and lower my monthly payments to…read moreincrease disposable income. I knew I was going to have to pay a little bit of a fee or higher interest for doing this, but it was just something I really needed. I talked with one of their reps (who was very nice and reassuring the entire time) we went over all of the financials over the phone, did all the math, added everything up, he gave me "final" figures and everything looked great. I was going to pay more in interest, but my monthly payments would come down drastically. Nothing was ever mentioned about the INCREDIBLY HIGH closing costs of this deal... I get the DocuSign/paperwork the next day.. The total debt we were looking at was $183,000. I was surprised to see over $16,000 in added costs for "closing" That's an 8.74% closing! The national average is 2%-6%. This place is predatory... Even if you are desperate, do NOT go with them, shop around, there are better deals out there. And some places even have -0- closing costs if you qualify! This place knows they have absurd costs, so they don't even mention it and hope that you don't notice or do the math on it.

We have been paying on our Huntington Mortgage for over a decade now. We paid the August 2025…read morepayment on line like we always do on 28 July 2025. The payment was not applied to the Mortgage payment, it was applied to the principal instead. Huntington sent a notice on 19 August 2025 that we had not made our August payment. After hours of being sent around in circles and being told inaccurate information we were told that the payment was applied to the principal balance because we paid 4 days early. We were promised the payment would be applied correctly on 20 August 2025. We were then told on 22 August 2025 it would be corrected on 25 August 2025. Today is 26 August 2025 and the payment has not been corrected. We were told we needed to make a second payment for August and we are only days away from our September payment being due. Our online account access to pay our mortgage has been locked so now we must pay at the bank in person. The branch office does not have access to the mortgage account and will only accept an August and September payment at the same time. This is an error created and unresolved by Huntington National Bank. During the last five days we have been redirected to frivolous departments, lied to, and intentionally given incorrect information and promises of resolution to this issue with no action being taken by Huntington to rectify this issue. Hunting is not accepting responsibility for their error and instead of cooperating to resolve their error are demanding an extra payment and further delaying the correction of their error.

I dunno.......where do I start? So many issues with Huntington AS A WHOLE...INITIALLY, in 2015,…read morewhen I purchased my first home, Huntington was NOT my choice, but due to inefficient professionalism with the realtor, Huntington was next in line for possible home loan. I received an excellent fixed APR...fast forward to 2016-ish and I was out of work for a few months, depending on my (then) husband to pay (not all, but most of) bills/mortgage and we fell behind on the mortgage by I think 8 or 9 months. Foreclosure process began - and I was doing everything I could think of to correct this wrong...I discovered the Home Savers Program with Huntington and that saved my home. However, over the years, my monthly payment has yo-yo'd all over the place, starting less than $500 in the beginning, all the way to just under $700, then with the Home Savers it went back down to $447 for almost 2 or 3 years, and now, it is back up over $525/month...and I am on a fixed income as a disabled Navy vet, divorced, and though making this payment is not really an issue at this point, any time I have a question regarding ANYTHING about my mortgage, getting transferred to the correct department THE FIRST TIME SEEMS TO BE THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM................customer service reps are limited on their information and I seem to get the one that THAT DAY THAT I CALL IN WITH A QUESTION IS THEIR FIRST TIME ANSWERING THE PHONE. I am currently in the process of trying to get one question answered regarding some misinformation that is listed on my online account and the "Sales" history of my home.........and I have been trying for over a week now to get someone on the phone who can answer why this WRONG SALE AMOUNT/DATE OF SUPPOSED SALE is even listed...................one girl told me the other day when I called in about this that the information I was referring to wasn't "real...kinda like your credit score, you know, it's different depending on who is doing the numbers..." WHAAAAAAAAAA???? what is she talking about??!!??@?

If only you could rate zero stars…read more.. Multiple emails and a few letters sent to CEO are below, at least a dozen prior that went unanswered. NOT the way to run your business. Mr Leonhardt, Absolutely the most unreasonable, non communicative, complicated, ridiculous mortgage servicing I've ever experienced. The CCM website is overly complicated, unhelpful, and clearly must overwhelm 99% of your borrowers, Our experience over the last few months has made us so frustrated that we determined it would be easier and less painful to pay off the loan and no longer have anything to do with Cross country Mortgage. Unfortunately this is something that I have seen on the Internet by many borrowers who are completely frustrated with the largest, and clearly the worst mortgage servicer in the country. I hope you will take this as constructive criticism so that you can look deep into your company policy's, and just as importantly, your people. I've received an automated call for me to call CCM back, that was Saturday, I called back to find offices closed on Saturday, really? Mr Leonhardt, seriously? Would you please have a human being call me? I am a customer, not a number I'd expect that a professional company having received so many communication attempts would put forth some effort to reach out and discuss Mr. Leonhardt, I've been emailing and sending messages via your website CCM for several months now, I'm shocked that I've not heard one word of response, I'm sure you have records of any incoming messages on your website, of which I've sent no less than 4, please have someone check, also your "help" email also goes unanswered, I believe I've sent 5 or 6 to that CCM address. I'm a client, and quite frankly I'm insulted by the failure of your subordinates to communicate back to a customer communication. I hope you will have the courtesy of insuring I'm responded to since I've had to resort to imposing on your linkedin page, as well as your work email(s) Respectfully,

They overcharge more than they undercharge and increased my mortgage payment by $630 that's pretty steep and unfair. When I call to speak to an agent, they have no idea what's going on and get offended if you ask too many questions, and hand the call off with no resolution. Going to refi out of this dumb institution with weak accounting and staff. The CEO needs a check.
