Businesses like this make it hard to support local businesses. It's sad that they are able to stay in business. They won't respond to complaints to the BBB.

10/4/2023 - TERRIBLE DEAL! I was trying to consolidate some debt and lower my monthly payments to…read moreincrease disposable income. I knew I was going to have to pay a little bit of a fee or higher interest for doing this, but it was just something I really needed. I talked with one of their reps (who was very nice and reassuring the entire time) we went over all of the financials over the phone, did all the math, added everything up, he gave me "final" figures and everything looked great. I was going to pay more in interest, but my monthly payments would come down drastically. Nothing was ever mentioned about the INCREDIBLY HIGH closing costs of this deal... I get the DocuSign/paperwork the next day.. The total debt we were looking at was $183,000. I was surprised to see over $16,000 in added costs for "closing" That's an 8.74% closing! The national average is 2%-6%. This place is predatory... Even if you are desperate, do NOT go with them, shop around, there are better deals out there. And some places even have -0- closing costs if you qualify! This place knows they have absurd costs, so they don't even mention it and hope that you don't notice or do the math on it.

Jordan was amazing and walked me through the process step by step, working with myself and realtor seamlessly letting us know all our options. Would definitely recommend Rev Mortgage to anyone looking to purchase a home--especially first time home buyers.

We went with Revolution off our Realtor's recommendation. We did a cash out refinance in order to…read moreuse the cash out for a down payment on a 2nd home we were buying. They assigned two different agents and things got confusing as we would get automated texts/emails from both when paperwork needed to be signed. But when you logged in the site wouldn't direct you on which house (or mortgage as we were getting 2) needed the work. Not that big a deal, as I would be understanding since most people aren't getting 2 mortgages. Next thing, the appraisal company they used sent me a bill stating IT MUST BE PAID before the appraisal would take place. So I paid it. However, I guess that it should have been settled at closing rather than me paying it in advance. Again, that that big a deal and something I could over look. Next thing, my wife goes into work the Friday evening before we are supposed to close on Monday. And her co-worker tells her that a girl called from Revolution Mortgage trying to verify her employment. We'll the HR is closed on Friday evening. So the lady from Revolution tells my wife's co-worker that if this doesn't get verified our closing will be delayed. And could she "PLEASE, PLEASE verify it, as they have made a few mistakes already and don't want to delay closing." Why are we waiting till the last minute? Luckily, when the lady from Revolution gave my wife's name, my wife's co-worker did verify as they were friends. If she didn't know my wife, she wouldn't have been able to verify it. Now comes closing day. We go to the title agency and start the closing process. Its for the house we are buying, not our cash out refinance. I ask the guy, shouldn't we be doing the cash out refinance first? He says he has no idea, he just the notary on this one and the other lady working the desk will take care of that for us, later. Basically, all he cared about was to get his done. So we finish up and we ask about our cash out refinance and everyone starts scrambling around. Nobody is sure of what is going on. Long story short, they didn't have it ready. And if it didn't get done before 2 PM the family selling the house wouldn't have their down payment on the house they were set to close on. So they told us they would figure it out and bring paperwork to us. We leave, an hour later they call and say the can't bring it to us and could we come back. So we have to go back and take another hour to sign doc on our cash out ref. After all that, guy from Revolution calls to apologize. Very nice of him to do that. But also promises to make up for all of our inconveniences with some Cameron Mitchell gift certificates. Fast forward 4 weeks, we are in the new house and loving it. However, I've yet to receive those gift certificates. The agents who handled our mortgages were responsive and helpful if we had questions or issues, so I give them 2 stars for that. But if I had it to do over again, I'd shop for my own Mortgage Broker.
