The pain is still raw as I write this review. But guiding light was so comforting. Explained everything as it happened. My sweet baby passed so peacefully in my arms. I wanted a calm, gentle and peaceful crossing over and that is exactly how it was. Soo professional and caring. Yes this kind of service costs more but I didn't want my Holly to experience any anxiety like going to a cold sterile vets office and laying on a cold metal table. She passed in my arms in her favorite blanket while we sat in "her" spot on the sofa surrounded in love at home. read more

We have used this in home service twice now with GLPE and they are very compassionate and caring professionals. They come fully prepared and walk you through every step of what they're doing/about to do. They certainly made losing our baby a much easier burden by assuring us that we were doing the right thing for our 10 yo Great Dane with bone cancer. Also, transporting a dog of this size is not an easy task. They came fully prepared to transport her without incident. My family and I highly recommend them. They're truly a blessing at a time of need for our fur babies. read more

Excellent service. Our Euthanasia of our dog was done and the Veterinary was professional and very attentive to our pets comfort needs.

On 5/5/25 my mom had to put her poor little Benji down. He was part of our family for 15 good years, bless his heart. I did research and found Guiding Light. I advised my mom to go with Guiding light based on the excellent reviews and reasonable price compared to other places. Benji was not only my mom's world, but her true companion. My mom is 82y/o and lived alone. Benji's was her get up and go...he gave her purpose in life, he was her motivation. Dr. DeMoraes was truly a God send. So kind, warm, compassionate, and patient. We were the last appt for the day and even though it was late, she still gave us time to grieve and say our last good byes to our dear sweet Benji. Dr. DeMoraes was also very humble, explained the entire process, explained the medications before she administered them, informed us of what we should expect to see after each medication was administered. Words cannot express how much she helped us through this painful process of watching Benji transition officially to the end of his life. And frankly, Dr. DeMoraes is just a down to earth young COOL chick! Good Bless you Dr. DeMoraes read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Moraes! They worked us in on a Saturday night when Pepper started failing rapidly. Though I knew it was coming, you're never completely prepared. When your pet is family, this is one of the hardest things to do. Luckily, the compassion, professionalism, and genuine kindness from the Dr. made the process bearable. We called today as our little precious sweet Riley had struggled all night to breathe. The medications for her heart had stopped working and she was in pain and we knew it was time to let her go. The Dr. made time for us within 2 hours to be at our home so she didn't have to endure more. We were emotional wrecks having to make this call so quickly, however the Dr. was so kind and so sweet with Riley being so caring with her and with us. We picked her favorite spot to sit and watch everyone walking by and she was able to be loved on and put in a calm state before we let her go! We have never used a home service like this in the past, however we will only ever use them again. Specifically Guiding Light. Riley was able to have the peaceful, and dignified passing she deserved for all the love she gave to us. read more

Doctor Dior Moraes is an angel. I could not give her a better description. Such a compassionate and caring soul. She is with you as you grieve the process and is so understanding in the midst of a stressful time. She brings an air of comfort with her soft-spoken ways. Step by step she explains the process. She spoke to my Eddie as well as she was administering the medicine saying what a good boy he is. She flows physically, her actions are soft and smooth, not jarring or apprehensive. I could not have asked for a better experience than with using Guiding Light, such truth in the name. I am forever grateful for Dr. Moraes and her services. Many rewards are laid in Heaven for her. My husband and I decided to put our sweet boy dog down due the progression of his aggressive lymphoma. It was beyond difficult to make this decision, and Guiding Light supported us throughout the process. First off, Dee was empathic, informative, and efficient. This was our first time experiencing this and Dr. Moraes answered all of our questions in such a caring way. She took her time to get Rza as comfortable as possible. Dr. De Moraes Is so gentle and kind with animals that I recommended her to my brother whose 14-year-old daughters' dog was close to his end. She was fabulous with my young niece. I highly recommend her and her services. No animal services are cheap, whether it's vaccines, spaying and neutering, or euthanasia. It was all worth it to me to have my girl go peacefully. I felt very secure, recommending her to my brother, and my niece to help her dog transition. I have 3 more pups and when it's "their time", I'll be using her services again. read more
