Unfortunately, the owner and physical therapist of this facility by the name of Keith is unethical…read moreand lacks integrity. My experience with him in this facility has been very disappointing. In the initial evaluation Keith had mention insurance didn't cover TMJ issues and would have to add other issues with the neck to insure coverage. Which at the time I was having issues with my neck as well, so it made sense. By the second appointment when I started asking questions he started making very rude remarks. He saw me for about 15 minutes while he did some dry needling and when he finished, I sat in the room waiting for his assistant to come see me for the rest of the time. I was told they would e-Mail me some exercises, which I had to e-Mail to ask for them because a week later I still had not received them. This an expensive place and really lacked care. After this second session I knew I was wasting my time and money. After some time I requested my medical records from this facility and read the notes Keith wrote, that unless you request medical records you cannot see. The notes were untrue and I was in complete disbelief because Keith is suppose to be a professional provider. I contacted the facility and he never returned my call. After about 1 month 1/2 I called again and was able to speak to him. He clearly stated he "doesn't make mistakes in all of his year," and there was nothing he could do. I am appalled. I would not recommend his facility or him as a professional provider.

I was irritated about the exorbitant charge so I made payments of $25/month. They contacted me and said since they hadn't heard from me (although they heard from me monthly...) they were sending me to collections. When I responded, they sent me a copy of their billing policy that I signed (which had no price listed.) I would recommend you find ANY other physical therapist other than them!

The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the doctors are nice; although it's rare that you actually get to SEE a doctor. They're short staffed and over booked so I was passed off to the receptionist or another uneducated individual. My insurance was charged ridiculous prices regardless. If that isn't bad enough, at my last visit, there were signs posted all over the building they they were on a "boil water" notice. Meaning my doctor wasn't even washing their hands after using the restroom. Who knows what kind of diseases could have spread! I was appalled and will never go back. Excel PT, you should be ashamed of yourselves. There are too many options for physical therapy in the valley for unethical, unprofessional business practices. Perhaps it's time for new management?

As an established patient of Mary Olsen, I was surprised and disappointed by the unprofessional…read moreconduct during the last appointment with her. She arrived late, seemed unfamiliar with my case, and began the session by asking, "What can I do for you?"-- with a condescending tone and a confusing question considering our history. She even called me by the wrong name, which felt dismissive and careless. Throughout the session, she made several inappropriate and condescending remarks, including: "You really SUCK at self-care." "You are nowhere near your husband's athletic abilities." - in response to a shared a past concern about understanding an exercise and how my husband had helped me, she became unnecessarily hostile. "At this point, you are a loss in ROI." "You'll need psychiatric therapy to find ways to put yourself first and commit." Her tone was critical and unsupportive, and the overall experience felt more like a lecture than a physical therapy session. I ended the appointment early due to how uncomfortable and upsetting it became. While the front desk staff handled the situation with kindness and professionalism, my concerns raised to management/owner were met with defensiveness rather than a genuine effort to understand or resolve the issue. While the owner was polite during our conversation, it was clear her support leaned toward the provider before fully hearing my perspective. She had already spoken with Mary beforehand, who denied many of the comments and framed others as concern for my well-being, claiming she didn't want me to "get hurt." However, the tone, volume, dismissive body language, and gestures used during the appointment conveyed anything but care or concern. No real accountability or direct acknowledgment of the inappropriate conduct occurred. I do not recommend Mary Olsen as a provider and hope Alyeska Therapy Center reevaluates and takes patient feedback more seriously in the future.
